Perfectly situated hotel - at the base of the Charles Bridge. We splurged and stayed in the best suite (#14), and had plenty of room. Bed was super comfy.. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommend

We ate here twice during our stay in Prague. Excellent food at a reasonable price. The staff were really friendly and welcoming. They also worked exceptionally hard bringing food outside to the food area up a steep slopes Would recommend a visit

Good central location and lovely helpful staff - special thanks to the receptionist. We were on the 4th floor with no lift it was a bit tricky as i have a bad hip. We fell into bed shattered after the climb! But made sure to go out straight after breakfast ( very good ) and not come back till bedtime....

Stayed at "The Three Ostriches" for the weekend 3/4 September. Hotel is located right by the end of the Charles Bridge so is in an excellent position. Got a taxi from the airport which cost 680 crowns I think (about £20) which was reasonable as its about a 30 minute journey. Driver dropped us off at wrong end of bridge...

The hotel is ok. One thing I didn't realize at the time of booking was there was no lift, when I came there we had to go to the last floor the 4th. The person there told us this was because the building was old, but I could see it has been completely renovated. However I think there has to...

what is good about the hotel is its l location, right at the steps to Charles bridge. The staff has also been pretty nice and supportive. But there is a series of things we didn't like about the hotel: - The room and furniture are very old and urgently need some investment - We had a very small room and...

Our corner room was perfect. We had views of the Charles Bridge, Vitava River and in the other directions a street with tourist shops. Breakfast consists of multiple breads, cheese, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal and excellent coffee. The pillows and beds are equally superb even if you suffer from jet lag.

My husband and I stayed here for three nights over looking the Charles Bridge a couple of weeks ago. It is close to everything!! The excitement, the sounds, the smell of food cooking came through the windows makes me smile just thinking about it. The only downside is there is no lift (the hotel staff did provide assistance) but it's good...

Large spacious rooms, located right on the Western end of the Charles Bridge. The location really couldn't be any better, at any price. The free coffee room was a good place to rest and plan the next expedition, although the occupants of the two rooms that opened onto it have my sympathy: The coffee machine wasn't quiet!

Perfect location with great view. Close to everything (Town center, bus-train-tram stations). Room was good and clean. Rich breakfast and a fairly good restaurant. Great services and value for money. Certainly my first choice for my next time in Prague.

Staying in Mala Strana (Little Quarter)

Neighbourhood Profile
Mala Strana (Little Quarter)
Malá Strana is one of the oldest and the most beautiful neighbourhoods in the city. Nestled underneath Prague Castle it was once a part of the Kings route taken by future kings on their way to coronation - originating in the Old Town, crossing Charles Bridge and leading to Saint Vitus Cathedral. Cobblestone streets are lined with picturesque medieval houses, remarkable palaces, churches, kitsch shops and restaurants. Do not hesitate to turn a corner into any narrow street. You will suddenly find yourself in a calm and charming neighbourhood full of hidden gardens, parks with peacocks, fruit trees and ponds. As the neighbourhood is a home to Czech Parliament and many ministries, you can also run into well-dressed officials. If you are thirsty or hungry, it is the right place to be. Restaurants offer delicious traditional food and of course, the best Czech beers.

“If you don't want to be bothered by noise, ask for a room that does not over look the bridge. This hotel does not have A/C - so not sure I'd want to stay there in the summer. If you are American, remember that the 1st floor is one floor up - so the second floor is two flights of stairs. ”
