I had to go to Prague (meeting at Charles University, in the very center of the city) and was trying to find a reasonably priced hotel close by. This one was a perfect choice for me, everything I needed or wanted to get to was within a few minutes' walk. I ended up with a nice, spacious room which looked...

I have just returned after staying 2 nights at the Hotel Central & I was very impressed. I paid £35/night (inc breakfast) & this must represent the best value in Prague. The hotel is excellently situated right in the centre of Prague (about 5 minutes walk to the Old Town Square) & is surrounded by a variety of excellent cafes...

Me & my Brother, both in our 30's, stayed at the central hotel which is situated on a quiet street inbetween the old town square and the 'powder tower' The hotel staff were really friendly; the twin room we stayed in was modern & clean and ideal if you just want a base to go touring the city sights from!...

The best choice in our price range (£20pppn) was the Tulip Inn on the outskirts of Prague or the Central Hotel just off the old square. I went for the Central as this was for a stag do. The furnishing in the rooms were basic but modern, the room itself was large (a triple in our case). The breakfasts were...

Could not ask for a better location! A few minutes walk from so many sights! Just off of Old Town Square. This is a small hotel, and the only real gripe is that the level of service at the front desk was poor when we sought help in making a local phone call, however, another desk staffer stepped in and...

Just back from a weekend in prague. Its absolutely beautiful. We stayed at Hotel Central, which was very reasonable. they organised transfers by taxi both ways for us, which were on time and at a fair price. The hotel is in an excellent location, literally 5 min walk once your familiar from the square. One tip would be to buy...

As the other reviews state, this is a very good hotel in an excellent position but beware of having a room close to the lift towards the rear of the hotel. The motor noise and the sound of the lift doors sliding open and then closing kept us awake most of the night. To give the hotel reception staff credit,...

Have just returned from xmas in Prague. We stayed at the Central Hotel and found the room clean and tidy and very warm. We would be hard pushed to find a complaint about this hotel, staff were friendly and the hotel is ideally placed to explore all the delights of Prague on foot. We dined at U Kalicha restaurant which...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
