What a gem of a hotel!!! Everything about this hotel was lovely. Reception staff are fantastic, breakfast excellent with a huge selection of food to choose from, rooms lovely and clean, location excellent. It was lovely to come in freezing and be able to pour yourself a hot chocolate and thaw out a little. Absolutely nothing negative to say about...

My extended family stayed for several days over New Years. The stay, with a few minor exceptions was flawless. We were greeted by friendly staff who spoke fluent English. The rooms were clean, modern and lovely. We had a view of the Church across the street which was lovely. The hotel is on a quiet street, almost a small square...

We stayed for 4 nights over the new year period in freezing cold weather, and the hotel really lived up to what we'd hoped for. It’s in a great position, a quiet street yet only a stone's throw from the old town and all the sites, bars and restaurants. Our superior room was fairly big, maybe slightly on the functional...

I haven't experienced many, but the Maximilian Hotel is hands down my favourite hotel I've ever stayed in! For starters the location is perfect, situated within Old Town just a few minutes walk from the square where at the time the Christmas markets were held. The staff are very welcoming and on-point, the rooms were of a good standard and...

My sister and I spent Christmas and Boxing Days in Prague and were absolutely delighted with this hotel. I have travelled to Prague for work many times and have stayed in several excellent hotels but Maximilian is very much my favourite. It's centrally located, the staff are elegant, under-played and super efficient. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and spacious. The bars are lovely. All the services you might need are here. In short, this little and stylish "boutique...

We've been at the Max twice. Once in the fall, once in the summer. Warm and friendly. And very helpful. The staff was especially creative helping us deal with a first time handicapped visitor to the city. Rooms are modern, not over-the-top. Location is perfect.

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
