I loved this hotel. You can walk to just about anywhere in old town from this hotel. The staff is pleasant. I enjoyed the wine tasting. The honor bar is a great idea. It is a very comfortable hotel. I will surely stay here again when and if I return to Prague.

My room was spacious and clean. Everything was in impeccable working order. The bathroom was also spacious and contained a number of toiletries. The room even...

Got the tip to book this hotel for our mini weekend in Prague and it was a hit! Before we even arrived the hotel staff helped us with transportation from the airport to the hotel with their own car (33euros). In the backseat their was a personal message and cookies to welcome us! The hotel it self is located near...

It is on a quiet street yet only a few minutes walk to restaurants, bars and shops. The old town square and the Palladium shopping centre are only a...

We booked a 4 night stay at the Maximilian, based on the reviews on TripAdvisor - we were no disappointed. Location was excellent, only a short walk to Town Square and other points of interest. The quality of everything in this hotel is superb, I can't fault anything. This has to be the cleanest hotel we have ever stayed in...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
