We stayed at the Charles Bridge Palace from the 1st-4th November 2016 and had a great time. Breakfast was plentiful and catered for most tastes. The room was a great size to suit me, my wife and 2 children. One room for my wife and I with a Queen bed and another room for my kids with a double bed,...

Staff were nice, room was decorated well and although small wasn't cramped, air conditioning was over the top and for some reason got very cold at night, breakfast was good but the beds were really bad, we wanted a double, my wife is pregnant and we get two beds of slightly different heights and bouncyness pushed together that kept pushing...

We were originally booked at the Hotel U 3 Pstrosu but due to a sudden cruise cancellation, found ourselves scrambling for a room in Prague. The U 3 is on the castle end of the famed bridge. A quick search uncovered another 4 star rated property at the old town end with availability - the rather elegant sounding Charles Bridge...

This hotel is in a fabulous location and the rooms are nice. The bed was fairly good and the shower worked fine. I read on the website that you could pay €40 for late checkout, which looked like a sensible transaction - I pay money, in return the hotel provides a service. As my flight wasn't until the evening I...

Beautiful hotel housed in an old renovated palace just steps from the historic Charles Bridge and all the main sights in the Old Town. Our room was large with a sitting area and table with chairs. It had a safe and a fridge and the bathroom was also oversized for a hotel. Wonderful buffet breakfast was included. Ahmed was very...

Situated at 2' from the crowded Charles Bridge, this classic stylish hotel is hidden on a small quiet square. Rooms are nicely decorated with "antique" style furniture and golden mirrors and crystal chandeliers. With a 12 year old girl, we booked a mini-suite which was composed of 2 separate bedrooms, separate entrance and bathroom. Allthough on one side, there is...

We really enjoyed this hotel. I loved the classic style and breakfast was wonderful. Hotel staff very helpful on where to park in a safe place. It was a little hard to find since it faces inside a plaza. There is a bank machine to get crowns outside the hotel that was super convenient. We were in walking distance of...

I am about to begin a week long stay. I contacted the hotel about possible early check in, just 3 hours, and was told it would cost 30 euros extra if the room was ready. Not the customer service focus I expect. I wonder if there will be more fees for decent service in the week ahead.

There are certain policies that we must respect and extra charge for an early check-in is one of them....

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
