great location, very good service, really nice rooms, a lot of space, clean, helpful staff, good food, its Prague so everything here is rather expensive, so the hotel is also not the cheapest but worth every penny (especially when you compare it to other hotels in similar location - where you will be charged the same price but receive a...

We arrived for our six night stay at the Barcelo on March 20th; we used the consistently efficient Resort Hoppa for our transfers. This is our fourth visit to Prague and second stay at this hotel; we were greeted very warmly at reception and given a complimentary glass of the very good local fizz. The room was on the fifth...

I stayed two nights on a business trip, and I might probably come back again. My room (standard) had plenty of space even if bathroom was small, but the worst thing was the temperature: it was very hot during the night even if I turned off the heather. I also asked for a special bedding due to my back probems...

It was my partners 50th Birthday celebration and they kindly gave us a free bottle of sparkling wine. Hotel restaurant was Ok, we enjoyed our food. But there are many more places to eat,which...

We had a very enjoyable stay here. They offered us an upgrade to a suite that was bigger and a better layout than the one we'd booked. We had a street-facing window on the top (or second-to-top) floor and did not have any problems with street noise. Good breakfast included in the rate, as well as wifi that was surprisingly...

Booked hotel directly after reading other TripAdvisor reports and were not disappointed. Used Prague-airport-transfers to get from airport to hotel and visa versa and found service excellent, thanks to Daniel our driver for both journeys. Hotel is centrally located, clean and modern with friendly and helpfull staff. We only had breakfast whilst there but it was of good quality and...

We used the hotel in march 2012 for internal purposes in our company. 4 day stay. We had a great time. The hotel staff does their outmost to please the guests. We are very pleased with everything. Clean, nice rooms, excellent situated - close to the historic centre in Prague. Recommended for both business and leisure.

We stayed at Barcelo February 2012 and it was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and our room was wonderful. It felt like an apartment - so comfortable and spacious. I highly recommend this hotel.

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
