I stayed here during August so it was high season but this hostel never felt overwhelmingly crowded. On the walls of the inside of the building (and in some rooms) they have stories and legends from Pragues past which are quite enjoyable to read. The room I stayed in was a private and very roomy. I loved the atmosphere in...

Great location! They are basic hostel rooms. They provide cereal and juice for breakfadt olus a breakfast roll if uou want. Friendly commonroom and good conputers. Down side was that there are not girls showers on every floor and the showers and bathroom area are on show when people open the bathroom door to come and go - people often...

Staying here for two nights, first night just gone. First impression was of a very pleasant and helpful latino chap on reception. Dorm rooms are small and basic but that is normal. Lockers for valuables are provided in the rooms which is good. Bit of noise in the early hours but not end of the world with an ipod. Just...

This was my first experience at a hostel.. Stayed there for couple of nights.. Really liked the hospitality by people at the reception. I wanted to explore something different in Prague and the lady at the reception shared some interesting ideas, a little off beat from the regular sightseeing.. I found the place a little cramped, but the location takes...

Staff was great, super friendly and helpful. Location superb. Just 2 minutes from the Stare Meisto main square, this is great because Prague is beautiful at night. So walking around with the hostel nearby was wonderful. The breakfast provided was not bad, with a choice of sandwiches and cornflakes etc available. Dorms were a little small, same for the toilets...

As a solo traveller hostels can be daunting, not in this case! The lovely American girl at reception was so helpful! Pointed out some great places to eat and things to do and see. The location is ideal! In the heart of Prague walking distance from all of the main attractions. Breakfast is basic but perfect to fuel you for...

The location of the Prague Square Hostel is almost unbeatable but there isn't anything special about the accommodation itself. The breakfast wasn't great and we ended up buying our own food for the mornings. However the location is great just down from the Astronomical Clock. The staff were helpful in recommending places to go and eat/drink. Rooms were fine, the...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
