Had some billing issues with the hotel which the staff were not apologetic about and made no effort to resolve. Similarly upon check in I felt as though we were somehow bothering the clerk at the front desk and when we left my request for a receipt was ignored several times (as was I), almost making us late for our...

We stayed here for a long weekend in March and it is a perfect yet basic hotel. Location is excellent with Wenceslas Square a five minute walk away, where many bars and restaurants are. The Old Town Square and Charles Bridge are a further few minutes but the walk is lovely with plenty to do and see on the way....

My experience with this hotel's staff and policies was a negative one. I stayed in this hotel for 4 nights and had a problem with the room. They are selling their standard rooms as superior rooms using the fact that each room has an extendable sofa. We booked this hotel from booking.com, a superior double room for 3 persons. It...

Stayed over for one night and found this hotel to be very good value for the location. The rooms are clean and tidy. Staff very nice and friendly. One downside is the really small car park which is very tight to get into.Wifi is free and worked ok.

We had a wonderful stay at Chopin. The hotel is spectacularly clean and the employees are very friendly. The location is great, beautiful park across the street and just a few blocks from Wencaslas Square. Also a great location for taking the train, literally steps away from the train main train station. Definitely recommend!

I stayed here with a friend for a quick visit to Prague. We chose this hotel because this was literally across the main train station of Prague. We got off the train from Vienna and it just took us 5 minutes to reach the hotel. We didn't have to take a cab/taxi so that was savings for us. The room...

Staying in Nove Mesto (New Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Nove Mesto (New Town)
Nearly 700 hundred metres long, Wenceslas Square represents the most frequent and buzzing crossroads of the city. The National Museum in the upper part of the square watches over your spending spree in countless shops and retail stores lining the entire square, which ends at Na Příkopě, the most famous shopping street. When tired or broke, you can explore the city's underpasses, which can take you to the Old Town or to the courtyards of art nouveau houses with secret gems of greenery, white benches and rose bushes that provide unexpected peace in the midst of the city. Be sure to pay a visit to the traditional cafés, classic Czech pubs, cinemas and theatres. National Theatre near the river has a lot to offer to foreigners. Go to the river bank and enjoy live music and drinks while watching a sunset behind Prague Castle.
