Perfect place! Lovely Staff! Just for a couple in love! A romantic trip could not be that way good, if our hotel (Royal Road) had not been in the heart of Prague... everything is so near! The room was very cosy, modern and very clean. I will recommend this place to my friends as it is worth paying, though the... More

Just visited Prague for 4 days with a group of friends. What a beautiful city! And Royal Road was a great place to stay to really enjoy the city. The location is perfect and the building beautiful. The staff is really friendly even after we created some noise disturbance on the first night.. One disadvantage was the water pressure. Or... More

i would defenitly recommend this place for several reasons - 1. its location is simply the best in prague. you cant get any more central than this. 2. the hotel is maintained in good conditions - the room was clean, neat, with new furniture and simple though up to date design. 3. the room was very spacious and we had... we stayed 2 nights at the Royal Road Residences in November. The apartment we got was huge. Could have easily fit 8 people, but I stayed with only 1 other girl there. The apartment was clean. The location could not get better (in the middle of old town near Charles Bridge). The building is slightly run down. The first night... More

Good apartment hotel at a good value, very good location near Charles Bridge. The only real issue was the small radiator, much too small to keep the room warm in chilly autumn weather and rather a strong draft coming in from under the balcony door. The friendly staff were surprised at that feedback and promised to improve it. If you... More

We stayed at Royal Road for 2 nights last week and were quite pleased with the stay. The rooms/apartments are in an old building with a ton of character. Parts looked a little run down but it's part of the charm of staying in a location like this (and after living in Europe for two years now, this is nothing... More

Boy were we in for a surprise with this one! BRILLIANT location - TGIF and Haagen-Daz on the ground floor, Old Town 5 min walk away, Charles Bridge a 2 min walk - we were right at the heart! Zero issues with check in - in fact we reached 4 hrs before the checkin time and the people at the... More

We stayed at the 5th floor apartment with my family (all grown-ups). First of all, if you are expecting a real hotel, be prepared for disappointment. It is a regular house, and Royal Road Residence has the reception and breakfast room on 2nd floor, and a few rooms on 4th, 5th and 6th floor. Otherwise it's normal people's apartments. I... More

Nice apartment in an old building. It's about a 5 min walk from the reception in the main building and with luggage it can be hell in summer! In summer the apartment was super hot - just a small pedestal fan kept blowing away ineffectively. We could hardly sleep at night - the rain eventually rescued us from our misery.... More

Ours was an apartment with lots of space, we did our own cooking and after a week of travelling we took the opportunity to spread out. A really relaxing place. Three of us had room 4a with two bedrooms and a huge living area and kitchen. It's very central - right opposite the Clementinum. We arrived by train, it's about... More

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
