The staff's friendly and helpful demeanor contributes to a welcoming atmosphere that many visitors enjoy. While the value for money is a highlight, some guests note the absence of in-room bathrooms.

The hotel is located in the Karlin district of Prague.
We arrived at the main railway station, and being unsure of the transport system, decided to walk to the hotel, which was just slightly over a mile.
First impressions when reaching the hotel were Oh, hmm, okay. Not a grand entrance by any means of the imagination. Upon entering the small hallway, the rather small reception was on the left. Check in was quick and simple, and everything very well explained to us by Sonia (we spoke with a few members of staff during our stay who to be fair were all helpful, but I’ve got to say here that if you encounter Sonia, in our opinion, she was ahead of the rest). We were allocated room 32 which was on the 3rd floor. The lift being just round the corner from reception. Geezo, this was a bit of a shock, it looked like something out of the ark! A pull out door to enter and a secondary sliding door. Maximum of 3 people. Surrounded by a metal mesh type cage, camouflaged by artwork. Room was fairly spacious but very dated. Obviously had been upgraded over the years but even so still had that old look and feel about it. Have to say in their defence that it was clean though, and the beds were fairly comfortable. Flat screen TV, and hairdryer in the en-suite bathroom. There were no tea or coffee making facilities, however, there was a jug of water, and glasses. We actually ended up being fortunate as this was one of the very few rooms with a small outside balcony with a table and a couple of chairs. Balcony overlooked the front and there was an ashtray which is handy if you are a smoker. No smoking permitted in the bedroom.
Deafening and noise proofing wasn’t the best.
Breakfast did surprise us though, and in a good way. Pleasant dining room, albeit not too large. A huge choice for breakfast, some of which included boiled eggs, sometimes fried eggs, sometimes scrambled egg. The hot selection did vary. Continental rolls, bread, preserves, yoghurt, fruit type cocktail, and desserts of various descriptions, as well as fruit juice, and coffee.
The old town of Prague is within walking distance of the hotel and we would estimate the distance to be just slightly over a mile. Numerous eateries and small corner type shops nearby

İt would be better if there were AC. The street was loud so when we opened the windows to cool down the room it got too noisy that we couldn't sleep.
The wifi connection was bad, leave aside doing bussiness or WhatsApp calls, even a single whatapp message took minutes to send. İt was not even enough to view my instagram stories and googling something took around 5mins.
The staff at the restaurant was kinda rude to us. The breakfast was between 7am-11am an when we went to breakfast at 10am they didn't refill any of the plates, most of them was empty, they didn't even answer or smile when we said good morning and when we get up from the breakfast at 10.30am one of them said "yadaaa!" with a happy voice after we get out of the restaurant room. (Because we were the last ones to get to the restaurant. İf you go to breakfast early you won't face this problem. When we went earlier next they, they were kind, they refilled all of the plates and there were more kind of stuff we could eat)
İ would recommend if you're on a budget and need someplace with good logistics. I don't recommend if you're looking for a comfy and luxurius stay.
The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with modern decor that added to the cozy ambiance. We particularly enjoyed the breakfast buffet.
What really stood out to us was the excellent service. The staff gave us great local recommendations and even helped organize a day trip outside of Prague. We felt completely at ease and cared for throughout our stay.
I highly recommend **Charles Central Hotel** to families looking for a convenient, comfortable, and affordable place to stay in Prague. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to this beautiful city!
It’s in a great location with the local transport easily accessible, many shops and restaurants on the doorstep, and also a pharmacy right outside too.
Overall this hotel was what we expected and all we needed truly serving its purpose.
Thanks for having us.
