IT is not that Metamorphis is not a nice hotel. I just expected more. The pictures do not reflect what you get. What I got was a nice single room that was much smaller than expected lacking all the "extras" I expect from a five star hotel, robe, balm, channels to name a few. The location is absolutely brilliant though,...

Booked this hotel through Booking.com and I'm extremely disappointed. The pictures of which there are 45 show lovely rooms with spacious bathrooms. We were first shown a room that looked like one from a youth hostel (Room 26). This room is across the courtyard from the main hotel and there where youths shouting up at girls - nice, well it...

Just a normal boutique Hotel, very good centralized location in the middle of old Prague, hotel still keeping the old shape with the furniture and decorations, but hotel without lift !!! Staff want to be helpful, however they need to know more about the city and advice better on places to go and try that locals go to.... and not...

I found the stay at your facility, rather poor. The room (No. 832) is in a poor seal, the dust you can find it almost everywhere, the shower tray is leaking from under the sink, and the provision (excellent 5 star) without slippers and bathrobe. In hotel's offer it has to warn that the breakfast is at another property (with...

We booked the Metamorphis Hotel and ended up in the Metamorphis Excellent. We are not sure what the difference is.We had a lovely big room on the first floor for the two us which was situated overlooking a quiet courtyard. The breakfasts were good even if we had to go to the restaurant in the other hotel, it was just...

This was a two night stay, a birthday treat. We'd booked a suite and were looking forwards to visiting their spa. The location is great for central prague, no doubt about it but the rooms are not 5*. Reading other reviews I can see that some people like climbing four flights of stairs to an attic room that only has...

Location was just superb Minutes walk to the Old Square, with a vast array of pubs, restaurants and jazz bars central for visiting the Astronomical Clock It's more of a Residence than a Hotel, no bar, no meeting rooms, but the rooms are huge, and very well maintained, good facilities One negative was the incredibly dour and unwelcoming older, tall,...

We had a GREAT room on the top floor. It even included a short ladder up to a small outside terrace. There was a roomy king-size bed and plenty of outlets to charge all of our electronics. Breakfast was in a medieval vaulted sub-basement in another building a few steps away. The only downside was the absence of an elevator...

Good location but definitely not a 5* hotel. Rooms are quite large but very dated. We stayed in a nice room on a 4 floor with a balcony but the hotel does not have an elevator. Could be very difficult for some people. Need to thing carefully or you have to go 82 steps up if you forget something. Breakfast...

Staying in Stare Mesto (Old Town)

Neighbourhood Profile
Stare Mesto (Old Town)
One of the oldest neighbourhoods in town represents the medieval heart of Prague. It’s no surprise it is bustling with tourists every time of day. Križovnický square, overlooking Charles Bridge with Prague Castle in the background, is probably the most beautiful square in the city. Its unique historical atmosphere of gothic houses and churches, cobblestone streets and squares, and stone towers blend together with the modern era. A vast array of bars, restaurants, dance clubs, international brand shops, galleries and hotels bring life to the old city. With its charming and picturesque cobblestone streets, the nightlife and parties will surely be unforgettable.
