We booked this hotel somewhat last minute. We chose Heluan over the few other hotels remaining because the list price was decent and it is located close to the town center. However, the hotel nickel and dimes for everything and we ended up spending almost $50 more than the initial cost. The room was quite spacious and perfectly adequate, but...

The hotel is place in the centre of the town, in a small street with no parking option. The receptionist didn't speak english but altough it was impossible to comunicate she was helpful and showed us where to park. The rooms are big, bathroom with thub, style is a bit oldfashioned. Big beakfast buffet but bad coffee. Great value for...

The rooms in the Heluan are very spacious and comfortable - and we had a beautiful view across the city. Car parking was arranged at a separate fee in an adjacent facility. Breakfast was included and varied every day, with the usual Czech food fare. The central location is a big plus. Staff very friendly. Only constructive criticism is that they...

The bad: Bad mattresses and short blankets. Dirty carpets. Noisy refrigerator. No Spa - it is not so easy to get to the thermal baths if you are in a hotel without Spa. The good: Very beautiful Hotel and room. Great location in the center of town. Beautiful view from the rooms on the front. Good cleaning of the bath...

Amazing location just by the most important sights and life. It has amazing views. Owners are so welcoming and helpful. I really liked the breakfast. It was so typical Czech so it reminded me many of thing from my childhood which I have not eaten for ages. It is very authentic place if you want to stay in a Czech...

No way should this be a 4-star hotel! 2.5, at the most! Highlights were the magnificent ceilings and original wood floors in the rooms. Though they could use a cleaning. Also, the elevator was original and beautiful. The man who works nights at the front desk was very helpful. Yes, our room was huge, with a foyer, sitting room, bedroom...

The location is amazing, just steps from the heart of the "spa district", the colonnades and shopping. Our room was spacious with 15 foot ceilings, very comfortable. The staff were super polite and very helpful in suggestion sights and other activities. A continental breakfast was included and I must say was one of the better ones I've had compared to...

We stayed here for one night. The location was great, in the heart of the spa district of the town. It is a small but friendly hotel. The room we had was huge, actually two rooms together. Some of the furniture and some parts of the room were a little dated but that added to the charm. The bathroom was...

I booked this online and was most pleased--the gentleman who checked us in was delightful, as was Werner--an engaging young man who parked our rental in the rooftop lot, then gave us a virtual tour with plenty of local insight as to what to see and where not to go. The room was simple but well-executed, with an amazing old...
