While most heritage hotels in Alwar district are born with the beauty and treasures of history, not one offers such a spacious dream site. An impressive, pillared building near the Entrance is the Hawa Mahal or palace of winds. This is used for dining and conferring under a gigantic lantern-chandelier. The Rani Mahal, on the north-west corner of the property, was the palace of the queens. It has amazing views on the countryside as well as the gardens. Twenty one lady painters, designers and aesthetes have rooms and suites named after the. Their décor is inspired and adorned by their works. The Mardana Mahal has large halls for seating and entertainment as well as a majestic garden court at its heart. Some of India’s best-known painters, designers and creative people have created their magic in the rooms, many of which are named after foreigners whose work here gave them an international reputation. Seven terraced gardens command a magnificent view above the tall ramparts. The gardens have been compared by guests to the Hanging Gardens of Babylonia – one of the seven wonders of the ancient world – and the ruins (now restored) to Machu Picchu.

Amidst the current Covid Lockdown, we all had been under a forced isolation and were not able to go out anywhere for the past almost five months now. But with the gradual opening up of the lockdown and the resultant relaxations made us gather the courage to break the monotony and venture out of home for a short getaway from Delhi to Tijara Fort Palace Resort by Neemrana. We went there for a 2N/3D stay from 1st Aug to 3rd Aug 2020. We were five members (my father, myself, wife and two daughters) also accompanied by our pet dog. Stay permission for our Pet Leo was even more important to us as that is one of our first requirements as normally he accompanies us on almost all our travel and vacations. I was given and excellent booking assistance by Mr Mohit Taneja from their reservations department for arranging our stay. On reaching the Fort we were simply amazed at the tranquility and expanse of the property. It is simply beautiful, with ample space for walks, exploration and simply lazing around. The whole property is so green, with well maintained lawns and gardens which refreshes up you entirely, specially with the cool wind which blows almost through out the day as the Fort is located on a small hill top. .It was perfect place for us to be after being locked down in home for so long.

We were allotted the Rumi Mahal (pets are allowed only in this room by the resort) and the Bharti Mahal which were really elegantly done up and added a feeling of royalty to the stay. Adequate precautions had been given by the resort management for Covid for social distancing and sanitization etc. The hospitality and cooperation of the staff was first grade and they spared no effort to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Food was also really great and the buffet spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner although not very elaborate but was really wholesome, sumptuous and tasty. On the whole it was a wonderful experience for all of us including our Leo. Thank You all at Tijara Fort Palace for making our first outing since Covid so memorable and enjoyable. Regards Manoj Kumar and Family.

We went for the festival feel for a day,, it’s an easy two hours drive from delhi, three families with kids upto aged 10 went together. The booking drill was made easy by Ms. Yamini and Mr. Gaurav from the Reservations Team. To begin with, the check-in formalities were smooth, Mr Mohammed Ayaan was quite helpful and cooperative. The rooms we booked and got were in the Rani Bagh - Bharti mahal, Pushpa mahal and Laxmi mahal were very spacious with 2 sets of beds and a big washroom. The kids were so enthusiastic seeing the hanging gardens and the swings, trampoline and the swimming pool. Buffets Meals are delicious, nominally charged and kids were either complimentary or charged at half the prices. The Chef, the captains and all the servers (our bad, we couldn’t get their names) are truly hospitable. The Laksa Soup, Curd Pudding, Sunny Side-up with veggies and Brownies were the highlights. The Breakfast and Evening Tea are part of the room stay. Kids had a ball playing, running around and swimming, while being at their own, totally safe and sound. The adults had their own merry times. Drinking is not allowed at public places, can only de taken in rooms. Night performance by Banay Singh and group was a great entertainment. Holi arrangements were well made. We rounded up our stay on a happy high note. Accounts Team was also quite prompt with their job. Mr, Chhinder Pal and Mr Chandar Shekhar well handled our accounts. We were out without any delays. Not to miss, the Housekeeping guys at the Pool and the rooms were great too :)
Rounding up, it’s a huge heritage property, with beautiful, well kempt greens, and a great staff. Two days are a minimum you should do there.

We stayed for 1 night at Tijara fort palace.
It is extremely huge and widespread. The variety in food doesn't include many north Indian options and hence we didnt decide to take the dinner. It is best to take room in rani mahal otherwise the rooms of low price range are in mardana mahal which is quite far away from the restaurant and main facilities. The breakfast was good. Evening tea and snacks were mouth watering . We thoroughly enjoyed viewing the fort and in the evening it lights up beautifully and the view from the top is serene and surreal. We regret that we couldnt do the pool as it was quite cold. In the morning it is decently warm but at night it becomes chilly. There is no A-la-carte and hence one has to take buffet and there are no options around. It is a great weekend gateway and appropriate for living midst ancient heritage property . Spacious rooms but no room service. We stayed in John Mahal.

· The property and the location is beautiful. Room large and spacious. Could be a haven if it could ensure better behaved guests.

I had rung up Neemrana reservation before booking the room through Booking.com to ensure that there was no group (wedding or otherwise) staying at the property on the night we were to be there and I had been assured there was not, only then did I make the booking. However, there was a wedding group at the Property who screamed and shouted and behaved like they owned the place. The staff at the Property is very unsophisticated, they did not even try to reign the crowds in. The men of this wedding party drank till late at night in the public areas with music blaring from their personal music systems, no one even tried to stop them. At meal time the dining room was taken over by these crowds and the staff did not have the good sense to show us that we too were special. The staff lie easily which was very disappointing, on being asked if there is a menace of monkeys at the property we were told no, the next thing we knew we were trying to escape monkeys. The irony is that there are no televisions in the room, purportedly so that everyone can have a peaceful stay but no effort is made by the management to control the human televisions to ensure that a guest like me is given the kind of stay he paid for. Even for the tour of the property, we had to wait 30 minutes ahead of the scheduled time for the wedding party members to gather to start the tour. Where in fact they should have started the tour on time. The quality of the buffet dinner was not commensurate for the price, it should be priced at Rs.650/- maximum. The morning of our check out was the Mehendi ceremony of the wedding the lawns were strewn with the tents, chairs etc. making the otherwise pretty lawns ugly and and leaving them incapable of being enjoyed.

After spending so many months at home.. we finally decided to go out for a stay to get a break from a mundane life.

Tijara was a much needed break, the property is beautiful.. majestic with a separate kids play area and the view are just amazing. All the covid protocols were in place.. sanitizer, masked employees, food being served by servers etc. The rooms are nicely done.

They provided a complimentary cake to us on our anniversary (sweet!)

Few Suggestions-
1)You guys may use a disposable table cover which can be changes when one set of people are done dining.. to ensure better safety.. as sometimes they sanitize the table top, sometimes owing to bust timing they dont.
2) Breakfast timing were chaos on both days.. with so many people around. That could be managed better
3)The rooms can be better sanitized and clean, the door and knob of my bathrooms still has some imprints of the people last occupying the room.

However, all in all it was a good stay and after all your safety is in your own hands.

We had our daughter's wedding in Tijara, Alwar on 4th December 2019. I wish I could go back and thank each and everyone at the fort for an amazing job they did during the wedding. From the top management, to the person who helped us with the food, luggage everyone at the fort is top class. They were so accommodating and helpful that our experience hosting the wedding was made a lifetime dream come true. I am so so pleased with our decision to have our daughter;s wedding at the fort. We travelled from the US with 130 guest, and most of them were foreigners, everyone stayed healthy, the food was not spicy and the management made sure they were looked after very well.
I highly recommend anyone who wants to go there and host major landmarks of their life. Also the rooms are amazing, each and every room is so artistically decorated, that all our guests were so pleased with the choice we had made. It was clearly a fairy tale wedding.
I do not remember most of the names, but Mr. Anand who helped us with our liquor details at the wedding was extremely helpful and pleasure to work with.
THANK YOU TIJARA TEAM!

My sons & I were desperate to escape from Delhi, after being locked at home for months. Tijara seemed like a perfect getaway, as it is just over a two hour's drive. This is the fifth Neemrana property we were booking, so we knew what to expect in terms of service, safety, & aesthetics.
The setting of this particular property is stunning. The fort resort lies on top of a hill, surrounded by lush greenery below. Each room is set to a theme, & beautifully decorated with artwork by celebrated artists, signature Neemrana style restored furniture, colourful fabrics, & quaint artefacts.
Due to Covid, the pool was closed but we could play badminton, table tennis, carom, & cards (brand new packs were given). They even had a cultural programme in the evening.
We had the option of eating in a dining hall, or ordering room service to minimise contact. All staff wore gloves and masks. They were all courteous, and eager to please.
At the end of 3 days, we went home rejuvenated.

We were there for my sister's birthday celebrations and we all were given really gorgeous rooms tastefully furnished, I stayed at Room Number 4 , Arpana Mahal , it is one of their best rooms with a really good view and a large turret balcony ! The other unique stamp is that you can have your high tea outside if the wheatheris not too hot, sipping your tea and watching large group of Swift's flying about under the vast blue skies ! Thirdly it is a large heritage fort with beautiful gardens, each building has some awesome views . Fourthly it's a peaceful place to mediate and relax . The staff are friendly and ever ready to fulfill your needs. Love to go back during the winters . Before I forget the pool. Is a really nice size but unfortunately due to covid we couldn't swim but there is always a next time

Wonder how I missed this place earlier....

Had a two day weekend trip to Tijara Fort Palace in Apr 21.

Booking through official website was easy and helpful. Please note that the hotel has some 3 bedded rooms(few) as well as 2 bedded rooms( majorly) and the rate is same in the category chosen. Complementary breakfast and high tea is part of the cost.

Location is close to NCR and takes about 2 to 2:30 hours. Road is good, except the last few kms in Tijara city and upto fort.

Check in was super smooth and fast. Ayaan was extremely helpful and gave a commentary upgrade in room.

Stayed in Vivek Mahal in Mardana Complex. Hotel is divided into Mardana complex ( 2 storied structure with max rooms), Rani Complex ( 4 storied structure with lift and second highest number of rooms), Deewar complex ( few rooms with great sit out privacy and view), Tope mahal ( only pet friendly single room) and Khajur complex ( 3 rooms, ultimate privacy but 30 odd steps to reach ). All complexes within walking distance of Restaurant named Kaanch Mahal, but gradient and steps abound, as expected in any heritage resort.

Decent restaurant with local flavour dishes hogging the limelight. Buffets and a la carte available. Hospitality and care beyond excellence, special thanks to Sandeep and Pankaj. Meal choices are limited but preparation and quantity is good. Combo meal addition to the menu is a serious suggestion that I would like to make, like other resorts are offering now a days. This is particularly useful for the Senior citizens or for people with low appetite.

Saturday has a complementary cultural program by local artisans, for an hour, which is worth a watch.

Swimming pool aptly called Pataal kund is great but was closed due to COVID.

Has great sightseeing walking tracks, sunset and sunrise points. Great photography options. Visit to all places within the complex requires atleast 2 days to savour and enjoy. R which is a must-take event. Thanks to Ravindra for efforts taken and information shared during the tour.

Ideal place for wedding and other family celebrations too.

Will definitely re-visit the place again.
