Located on the upper reaches of the River through corbett, Kunkhet Valley Resort was a delightful stay.
It is situated right at the river bank, on the Northern end of Jim Corbett. That was the best feature of the place as you could wade into the crystal clean river. Resort has plenty of open sitting areas and also enough bonfire places to enjoy in the evenings. They also have a lot of facilities like a big cricket field, TT, kiddy swings, cycles etc.
Staff was pretty courteous and helpful. Food variety was limited, but quality of food was very good.
We took the basic club house rooms, which were spacious and clean, but nothing too great. Also, club house was a but far from the reception/restaurant so walking there for every meal was a bit irritating. Also, there was no network at the resort (except Jio), and wifi was only available at the reception area. Tent houses are better. However, Since number of rooms is limited, you can enjoy the facilities without worrying about crowds.
It is a good 45-60 mins from Ramnagar, going for a safari might take an extra couple of hours. Also the resort is not accessible through small cars/sedans as the way to the resort is right through the river. It is doable if you have an SUV. Otherwise the resort does provide a pick and drop from the parking in their Gypsy, which is a 10 min ride.
Overall experience was very good, especially due to the riverside ans solitude.

Wow, what an amazing resort it is. Wide open areas. Direct Kosi River access. Number of places to sit and relax. Have not seen any resort with so many swings. Multiple options to celebrate your special occasions. We celebrated our anniversary through a set up called Queen's dinner - which was awesome, beautifully decorated and great service. We stayed in a luxury tent and would recommend it to every one - spacious, good amenities, good and clean washroom. Food is pure veg, homely and delicious. Decent dinner buffet spread with soup, 4-5 main course dishes and one sweet dish. Evening tea with pakodas. And you can carry your plates and sit anywhere in the resort and enjoy the meals. An amazing location for families, couple and those with children.

Kunkhet Valley is a beautiful picnic spot for a week end getaway. Provides nice options for peaceful family time.. Nice options for sporting activities with a cricket ground.. the drive across the Kosi river in the gypsy while entering the resort is an experience by itself. Food is Veg only and very tasty and hygienic preparations.. Staff are friendly and courteous and make you feel at home and at peace.. the bonfire options and the swaying beds are to be experienced.. A bath at the river is absolutely refreshing and enjoyable.. Just missed the ATV experience and some more activities can be planned to make the stay longer.. Overall Loved the experience..

A must visit resort with family, friends and couple. This kind of resort is not easily seen and built in India. It has amazing entry and exit which is not easily been experienced anywhere else in jungle. "Jeep ride for crossing water" Resort has multiple activities which any other resort doesnt have in that area or any resort in India have like JCB ride, ATV ride and night safari water ride in jungle. The resort is made itself in heavy dense area that one doesnt feel going anywhere else. The resort has very delicious and tasty variety of food all the 3 times with different snacks at evening. One doesnt feel homesick or miss home food while eating there. The most important thing in Resort is Cleanliness. Very neat clean and green resort. It has very big playground which is not easily been seen anywhere in hills or jungle,, the property is very well maintained with lovely flowers and trees. It has luxurious rooms, tents and duplex house for the guest.
The owner of resort Mr Ashwani Sharma and Mr Anurag is always available there for everyone and very kind in nature. They give everyone so many opportunities to do any new thing there,Ashwani ji has provided various different spaces for Bonfire like while enjoying on swing you can do bon fire, in front of big Led Screen one do bon fire, near to every room you can do and near to river which is very beautiful to enjoy the bonfire evening. All staff people are very caring, helping and sensible. You can not easily find variety of swings near to any resort in JIM CORBETT which khunkhet Valley resort has. The best experience one can have for 3 days in this resort while enjoying food and various activities. It has lots of sports equipments for all the age people like cycling, carrom ludo, cricket, badminton, basketball etc.
Pure Vegetarian food is available and pocket friendly resort for a family.

Kunkhet is like Second home to me. It's a perfect place to be with your Family and friends. They serve really amazing food. The location of the resort is very unique and one of its own kind. The river flowing beside the resort gives it a very refreshing experience. The staff is also very helpful and is available 24hrs at your service. I would like to visit this place again and again.

Went to this charming place by the Kosi river in Mar 2019. At that time of the year, the water levels in the river were low enough to wade through in our SUV. You cross the river right onto the resort’s ramp. Such a great property, enchanting views, multiple accommodation options, so many idyllic seating places scattered all throughout, great food (vegetarian only, and a great reason behind it - balance with the local fauna, read tigers). But what really made the place stand out was the staff. I do admit that at that time there were very few guests (weekday) and the staff had the bandwidth to serve us, but it was a case of above and beyond. The owner was supervising some work in the background, but did come to make us feel comfortable, a humble gentleman. My wife happened to mention something about home made pickles from the area while on the tour of the property one day. To our surprise, when we were checking out, the manager bid us adieu with a couple of jars that he had sent for from his home a few kilometres away. Such attention and effort towards guests’ wishes. Kudos. Highly recommended. My advice - be nice to people and they’ll amaze you.

Access to the resort is interesting. If the river level is low they will get you to the resort through the river in a jeep else you trek from parking to a point from where the jeep gets you to the resort. Gardens are beautiful and very well kept. A couple of nice view points to admire the river. The resort is on the banks of the river Kosi. Rooms are comfortable and food is decent but only vegetarian. Breakfast time is 0830 am but it is never ready before 0845 am. There is nothing to do here except relaxing if you are not doing a safari in the Jim Corbett National Park. There is not even a bar!!There are a few staff who are prompt to say NO to everything you ask for. On departure three in our family were leaving separately. Staff offered to drop them to the taxi pick-up point on bikes. One of the bikes with a 6 year old child and an adult skid and fell as the staff member did not know how to ride the bike properly. The adult member from our family sustained injuries on the leg and the arm and the child got some scratches. This could have been much worse but our family members were fortunate. It is shocking that the resort management risked the lives of its guests by sending them on bikes with staff members who did know how to ride bikes properly in that uneven terrain. It is no doubt a charming resort which has a potential to be much more if some engaging nature based activities are introduced and guest safety is not compromised.

One of the best resort I have ever visited till now.Great staff who knew how to serve the customer. The room was well equipped and the service was excellent. From the balcony, we could view the sea and feel the cool breeze. The location of our room was absolutely perfect. Tent room are also available which are absolutely comfortable and worth staying. As soon as you visit resort, you will experience the most memorable welcome. It felt like a private beach, very clean and clear water, a very good place to relax and chill. The scenery was beautiful and it was a relief to walk in such a quiet and peaceful environment. One can also experience village scenes. Resort has his own stadium for cricket and many sports activities are present in the resort available for guest like board games, badminton, table tennis, Basketball etc. Absolutely delicious food was served. The view of the sunset from that point was mesmerizing. I must say the location of the resort is also stunning. Our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. The guide accompanied us to the beach and we had a great time together.Excellent hospitality.

This resort is spread across in acres of land. The fun part is crossing the river by gypsy to reach the resort, though we took our own vehicles to cross the river and were assisted by resort gypsy. There is Cricket Ground inside the resort where we played a proper match. Plenty of activities for kids as well as adults. Landscaping of this place is very well layed out ,it has plenty of swings and relaxing area. The resort has lot of river deck places. The food is either cooked in pure ghee or olive oil, the food served here is pure veg, though you will not feel the itch of non veg as veg food served is excellent in taste The staffs were friendly and services were prompt. They served us with smiling faces. The highlight of the stay was the lunch by the riverside . We had occupied mango cottages which are far away from the main dinning area, we travelled to and fro on the cycles provided at the resort. Our whole family enjoyed a lot and had a lifetime experience. We will surely be coming back again and spreading a great experience that we had at this resort.
