Great experience staying on this large working farm. Classic 1850's build with enormous bedroom and fine views. Not ensuite but allocated super bathroom for us just "next door". Excellent roast lamb - from their flock??!!

My wife and I stayed at Cornhills Farm whilst walking the St Oswald's Way. The fact that you can be collected at the end of your day walking and returned to the same spot the following day is a real bonus. The rome was really comfortable and we were cooked a hearty evening meal. The room had all that was...

this b and b is set in a beautiful working farm house, my children were more than welcome as were we. I would recommend this place to anyone, it has a wonderful charm about it and the owners were so kind. It is a perfect place to stay for visits to wallington hall, cragside and not too far from kielder...

With this being the only place to stay for miles around Lorna has a captive audience, but the service she provides is excellent. The House is really lovely with large comfortable rooms and we can guarantee there is no dust or dirt under the beds! (hunting for a missing water bottle) We enjoyed our meal around the large communal table...

I would rate this place as good if I had the option, because it was, but average is the only option between poor and very good on Tripadviser ! This may seem picky but its not meant to be. We enjoyed our stay, the rooms were large and comfortable, Richard and Lorna are very nice people, but candidly, if there...

Walking St Oswald's way Cornhills was a most welcome break. The house is an absolute delight and the hostess charming. We left feeling well fed and more importantly our kit dried. There were not restaurants around and one of us was a vegetarian, but Lorna had no problem catering for us that night. A haven indeed.

Lorna is something of a hero among St Oswald's Way walkers, providing a complete service from the moment she picks you up in Kirkwhelpington at the end of the long trek from Rothbury. Our twin room was very comfortable and the food excellent. At dinner and breakfast you're sharing the big table with fellow guests, so there's a chance to...

Like the first reviewer we were also doing the St Oswald's Way & owner Lorna came down to meet us in Kirkwhekpington at the end of the stage after we phoned from the village (the farmhouse is about 3 miles off the track and there's very little accommodation around). Fortunately she was in a workhorse Landrover so not bothered about...

We stayed here whilst walking St Oswald's Way and took advantage of the special deal - our host would collect us from and drop us off the next day from Kirkwhelpington and provide us with an evening meal. Sounds good and it was, especially given the blizzard we faced during our walk that day; unbelievable. But our host took it...
