The Ojo del Mar is an absolutely lovely getaway --it's grounds are especially spectacular: it's lush and green with many beautiful exotic plants. It also has a great communal feel with a wonderful open concept kitchen/dining room where guests mingle over ridiculously delicious meals. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to anyone... it's paradise.

We stayed at Ojo del Mar for the first time in 2010. We knew we had to go back there, we never stopped thinking about the uniqueness and beauty of this place. So we went back in Jan 2012. Again, it was an amazing experience! The staff is very friendly and helpful, never got tired of answering all our questions...

We only had one night in Ojo, so it is maybe unfair to write a review but it is a positive review. The location is great - right beside a beautiful beach and with surf spots nearby, also right beside the only bar and restaurant in the entire area (which is a must - great food and atmosphere). The property...

We love to travel green and stay in small organic settings. This is by far my favorite. Everything was wonderful. The cabanas are very private and precious, the food was great, loved the group dinners every night, yoga was a bonus, lots of monkeys passing through, and all around pleasant environment. If you are looking for all you can eat...

We stayed for 6 nights at Ojo del Mar and we couldn't have been happier. Nico and Mark have designed an amazingly comfortable and private place, while trying to work their place into the natural surroundings. Our days here were measured by meals and quite languid. My favorite part was the communal dinners - the food was excellent and we...

We travelled here last March (2011). Amazing place. Outside cabins are a delight. It is so wonderful to sleep outside. The cabins are also architecturally interesting. The food was amazing. Delicious buffet style. Great to eat dinner "family style" and meet new guests. Played cards over candlelight. Explored the area. Walked, swam, kayaked, Yoga-ed. Tips: Bring cash. You may want...

This place is paradise on earth.... The cabinas are very privat and hidden in the forest. You simply chill out in the hammock and watch the wildlife in the trees, enjoy an outdoor shower surrounded by jungle plants and enjoy the amazing and homemade food. Flashlamps and adventure spirit required as there is no electricity and you seriously live in...

Go to Ojo del Mar just for the food. Go there just for the breezy eco-cabins. Go there for the other world travelers' company. Go there to watch spider monkeys while you take an open air (but private) shower. Go there to rest from your Corcovado National Park hike. My fiancé and I stayed at Ojo del Mar (Eye of...

Ojo del mar is the perfect place in a paradise setting. Off the electric grid and 20 km from the next town, it is a beautiful, quiet place, thoughtfully designed to be a sparkling gem yet to fit in the rain forest environment. Simple, stunning bamboo cabinas, with the typical high roof, but without side walls give you the experience...

Ojo del Mar is an EcoLodge, where you don´t have elctricity in the rooms - you really don´t need it, because candlelights are more romantic! Only at the Rancho there is electricity. Here you get together with all the other guests very nice dinners in the evening, sometimes prepared by the Tico-Employees of the lodge, very delicious. The rooms are...
