Unusual lay out and poor directions to the reception - which is a small desk in the Spa.We stayed in the original manor house with a view of the lovely garden and large pond. Sadly the manor house is close to the motorway, which could be seen through the trees - but it was not a problem for us as...

We were given a yurt and spa stay as a gift for Christmas. Looking forward to our stay and we were delighted by the food and facilities of the hotel. The yurt was luxuriously appointed, cosy and comfortable with a log burner. Downsides were a steep climb up sturdy wooden steps from the car park adjacent to the hotel itself...

Dreadful place! Did not get the see the manor house or the grounds as we were placed at the rooms away from it. The room itself was spacious and clean. The restaurant and bar were terrible! Decor that belongs to the 80's period, so unless you want nostalgia and cheese then don't go there. Evening meal was very average, steak...

We were treated to a 2 night stay by our daughters and all in all enjoyed our stay apart from the following.... On arrival we were very impressed by the grounds and gardens...beautifully tended. We were given an attic room in the Manor House which was very charming however it was one of the worst mattresses we have ever slept...

Currently led in a cold room, the heating remote has no batteries. Upon booking I was told I could arrive from 12 and use the spa from 2, we arrived at 12:30 and were told that the times stated were weekend hours and that our room was not available (I should have checked the email) Having travelled an hour to...

It feels like the Yurts were the final argument in a planning dispute! (Couldn't get planning for a building with double glazing (due to the noise of the M5) so stick up some yurts to spite the local authority) In quiet countryside (where you would normally camp) they would be brilliant, but beside the M5!!? As I say the hotel...

This place has all the potential to be great but it's falling short of its 4 star status... They have so many 'rules and regulations', we came as part of a groupon deal for spa and a night away. Luckily we had booked treatments for the Saturday as that then meant that we could access the spa... we overheard a...

We stayed here as it had been bought as a gift for us, we were in the new part of the hotel which was separate from the main building. The rooms were beautiful all very new and fresh. We used the spa which was very nice but thought it was a bit unfair that some people had to pay to...
