We were treated to a 2 night stay by our daughters and all in all enjoyed our stay apart from the following.... On arrival we were very impressed by the grounds and gardens...beautifully tended. We were given an attic room in the Manor House which was very charming however it was one of the worst mattresses we have ever slept...

Currently led in a cold room, the heating remote has no batteries. Upon booking I was told I could arrive from 12 and use the spa from 2, we arrived at 12:30 and were told that the times stated were weekend hours and that our room was not available (I should have checked the email) Having travelled an hour to...

It feels like the Yurts were the final argument in a planning dispute! (Couldn't get planning for a building with double glazing (due to the noise of the M5) so stick up some yurts to spite the local authority) In quiet countryside (where you would normally camp) they would be brilliant, but beside the M5!!? As I say the hotel...

This place has all the potential to be great but it's falling short of its 4 star status... They have so many 'rules and regulations', we came as part of a groupon deal for spa and a night away. Luckily we had booked treatments for the Saturday as that then meant that we could access the spa... we overheard a...

My son had bought me a one night stay with dinner through Groupon, I added another night. Well worth every penny, spent a whole day in the spa, had a full body massage, total relaxation. Room was lovely, food was great. Great way to de-stress.

Both my wife and I visited Rookery Manor for our 5th wedding anniversary. We booked our stay via a Groupon deal and we chose to stay in one of the Yerts. On our arrival we arrived a little early so we decided to have a cream tea which was nice, and very filling. We checked into our Yert which was...

BAD BITS... Noisy, right next to M5 Poor choice for vegetarians, out of 10 items on menu, only one was a veggie option . Food quality, lacked seasoning, very dry burger, the veggie meal was missing some of it's advertised ingredients! Short staffed, therefore slow service, long walk for staff from kitchen to dining room, food tepid. Had run out of the quality lager & cider. No real...
