The Red Lion is a fairly local Restaurant/Pub which we hadn't visited for a while and decided to pop in for Sunday lunch. Friendly staff and good service were made even better by a really lovely Sunday beef roast that was well cooked and nicely presented followed by a fantastic golden syrup sponge. Well done!!

I had arranged a Christmas meal for a group of friends from pre- ordered Christmas menu. The food was excellent . As it was a Monday the restaurant was quiet which was fine but at 9.15 we were the only table left. This would have been ok but we felt rushed to leave as the staff were mopping the floor...

The food and all the staff are excellent but let down by poor value rooms. The so called suite is just an ordinary room with an alcove and the bathroom is ridiculous. The light and very noisy fan start when the door opens and the fan stays on for some time after you close the door. The fan seems to...

The food was excellent and we all enjoyed it. My only slight criticism was that the tables were too close to each other, which made it very noisy,...

Stayed for 1 night for our anniversary. And it was a lovely evening. We had the Blossom Room which was pleasant and clean. Plenty of towels. Complimentary shampoo, conditioner, body wash tax. Lighting in this room was poor and dust in the lights certainly didn't help. The Samsung tv screen is broken with black lines running through it. We had...

Stayed in the Pigeon Loft, up narrow stairs at top of pub, mind your head on padded beams. Very comfortable room with bath in the room. Slow filler but once in, excellent. Good food and pleasant staff, breakfast was super and set us up for days wallking
