This resort is close to an hour from main Shimla by Road .But then for peace & tranquility you need to be away from the hustle & bustle of the city. When me & my wife were approaching it from Shimla, we negotiated a road on the left which branched off from the main road and descended 3.5 kms. into the valley going down and down in circles ultimately reaching to the resort. The Resort was built in 2014-15 ( so I gathered from locals ) and here I marveled as to how well it was maintained. It looked like a brand new construction ! Even the furniture in Room and all exteriors as well looked fresh and decked up. The Resort has a Gym, a T.T. Room and a service which it can easily boast to be among the best in hoteling industry. Food is good especially the breakfast items. I particularly liked the Upma & Aloo Pyaj Paratha with butter & curd.
We were housed in a Deluxe room which had a hill view balcony and all modern amenities though Cash safe was not there. The Washroom was small. The Resort has it's own parking and Power backup DG Sets. Our stay was most comfortable .There is a small daily items shop and a Tea /snacks shop adjacent to the resort.
Free WiFi was there but we did face network issues and the reception informed that at times the tower signals are weak so in rooms the net becomes problematic. However the Manager there was most cooperative and gave us a Dongle the next day so the issue was resolved. Dining Hall is about 100 metres distant from the reception and one has to go out on to the front road to access it. This can be a problem in Rainy season especially. Strangely Sugar free sweetener pouches were not available in the resort - they do not keep it so the attendant told. Also we found that the Hot & cold water mixer in washroom was malfunctioning in the sense that when you turn it on left side for hot water and then you want cold water and turn the mixer handle to other side, the Hot water continues to come for very long. I also felt that the pathway inside room from door to bed area needed arrangement for more light which was not there.
Despite such problems the Resort overall was a lovely enjoyable experience for me and my wife.

MANLA HOMES RESORT is one of the best places I have stayed in last several years. The Resort is not just beautiful but well planned, clean, hygienically maintained and has a great view of mountain valleys.

The staff went out of their way to take care of me and my friend. The dedicated GM Mr Surinder Sharma made us feel at home. He guided us for site seeing, food options and even accompanied us for morning walk!

This is a great resort and I would strongly recommend travellers to visit and experience it themselves.

I wish good luck to the team at Manla Homes Resort.

This is not a hotel actually Resort which have different criteria rooms,  private huts and villa (if you’re a group of more then 10 peoples). Villa has 3 rooms. Resort is spread in a quite large area.  For buffer (both breakfast and lunch) there is a sperate hall adjacent to restaurant.  Outside hall there are few chairs and tables where you can eat and enjoy mountain beautify also.  Even you can arrange candle night dinner there.  There is a child park also, where kids can enjoy even there are some paid fun and entertainment activities for both adult and kids also. Spa facility also there.
A good resort to stay with couple or with larger group also. There is just a problem not a problem but how you all manage time i.e. resort is 20 km ahead of main Shimla, so it take approx. 45 min.  So, it you are travelling back to Chandigarh then you need to mange time like it. Otherwise, there is no issue i.e. Kurfi is nearby even Naldehra golf course is just 5 km.

Overall good resort to stay.

We travelled from Manali to Shimla starting our journey in the morning. By the time we reached Shimla around 7 pm., we were totally exhausted. On top of it, it started snowing / raining and we realized on reaching there that the hotel was one hour away from the city. We were frustrated with all the exhaustion and the distance but all this seemed to be worth once we reached Manla Homes !! Was totally impressed with the property and the hospitality of the hotel staff. Please ask for the premium huts which have spacious and private lawn with seating. Views are out of this world. The property is eco friendly and highly recommended if one wants tranquility and no city humdrums. Would definitely visit again 👍

While negotiating the hilly roads beyond Shimla, you start wondering if it is going to be worth travelling that far. Believe me, it is worth the travel. Specially, if you are in a self contained group and are just looking to spend some quality time away from the daily hustle bustle of the life.

The staff here is really wonderful. Mr Surinder Sharma, the General Manager, is a very warm person and is a professional chef himself. Hemant Sharma of the Front Office, F&B Captain Virender, Stewards Bodhraj, Pawan & Bhavneshwar, Chefs Raj Kumar & Kulwant and Narender Sharma & Suresh of House Keeping are all wonderful people.

We were a group of 17 and stayed for 03 nights. A memorable trip.

One of the best places in Shimla for your family or friends to celebrate your occasions. We organised our MBBS batch Silver jubilee celebrations at the resort. The quality of food, quality of stay quality of hospitality was beyond expectations. Special thanks to General manager Surinder Kumar Sharma ji for looking after us so well. Whatever we demanded was managed with perfection. Even the smallest of the things were taken care of. The food was really good, special thanks to Chef Rajkumar.

Very secluded property, away from the pollution and noise of the city. Perfect for a quiet vacation. Beautifully nestled in a green valley, lots of flowers, trees, and birds.

That being said, the food quality could do with significant improvement. Thr vegetarian/vegan options are decent, but the meat dishes fall far short of expectations.

From amenities standpoint price stand point food choices standpoint this place is really good. Only drawback is its almost 18 km from shimla centre. The place is surrounded with plains, trees and sceneries. They have Ac/ heater facility. Round the clock hot water. The staff is courteous and well recieving. Unless you have a car for transit I wouldn't suggest this place.
