A beautiful thai/balinese style resort on a secluded beach with beautiful lush gardens surrounded by a variety of trees, with a large swimming pool. The rooms and bathrooms are aesthetically done, the premium rooms come with a little garden and an open air shower with plants. We had a problem with our ac at night , in the morning when we complained we were shifted promptly by the housekeeping staff Gita, who very efficiently just moved everything to our new room. She took care of us during our stay ensuring that we had everything we needed. The chef Saroj Kumar was enthusiastic to cater to all the meals we had, we enjoyed the local delicacies of fish made karnataki style with absolutely fresh produce. Breakfast has a large variety of everything you can think ofat a reosrt, served to your table. All the staff at the restaurant were very attentive and willing to go that extra mile to make our stay memorable. The property is beautiful, there are buggies if you dont want to walk, the beach is secluded, clean and you can watch the sunset. They close the gate to the beach at 7pm for security purposes. A great resort for a family trip or even a business conference. It was originally designed to be a wellness spa but now is a resort with a spa , gym and pool. We had a great relaxing time and would definitely recommend a trip if you are passing gokarn on the way to murudeshwar. However google maps shows a ferry ride which is only for 2 wheelers not for cars. So do put Kumte and once there put the resort

This was by far one of the best places I have visited and trust me I have had my share. The staff is amazingly trained for soft details like keeping an eye on kids preferences, turning off vehicles lights when coming from the front. Very courteous and accomodating. Once when my 6 yr old was feeling very spicy because of the food, chiranjeet ( a restaurant staff) rushed to get an ice-cream to our delight. Geeta (cleaning staff) always greeted us with a very bright smile and left decorations in our room throughout our stay.
The resort itself is very clean and well maintained. Rooms are large and comfortable.
Will not hesitate to recommend this to anyone.

It was my second stay at Gamyam. We stayed as a group for a weekend in the month of July. Everything about our stay was memorable. Resort is very tastefully done with minimalistic and artful interiors. Be it lobby or banquet hall or restaurant or rooms all are beautifully and tastefully done.
I want to mention one aspect specifically, service in the resort. Starting from front office to concierge service to F and B everyone are efficient in fulfilling your concerns. One of us had some knee injury while playing in the resort. We were pleasantly surprised when one of the senior personnel visited us in the room enquiring about the pain and he offered every possible help which was very touching. I have been traveling for more than 25 years all around, it's at Gamyam I experienced the best service so far. Keep up with the good work.

We stayed for 2nights in Gamyam Retreat First day we used pool. There was no person or staff to assist for changing room and towels. Later we were fed up and asked a staff who was passing by and he showed the changing room, we went inside but there were no towels inside the room again, to ask towels no person was near. There is a bar counter near the pool that service guy is least bothered what ever we ask he will not help anything. We asked him to send a person for help to fill air to our swimming tube and he told someone will come n attend but never came at all . And there were lots of house fly during the breakfast time. Staffs were least bothered. Next day we used spa. Had a very bad experience there as well. Massage was not that great. After the massage went for the shower and there was no shower gel and shampoo. In the middle of the shower i had to call the therapist and ask her to refill, During that time i heard a gents voice in the massage room, may be he came inside to give the shower gel but it was very uncomfortable for me. It was a bad experience. And some staffs are not polite. And about the property its good, food is also good and has a clean private beach, we liked it. And about the wifi, wifi network is very slow in the room and we don’t get the normal network also. So totally our experience was not good in Gamyam Retreat. Not worth for the money.

A beautifully conceived property with luxuriant greenery, attentive staff and a calm, serene atmosphere. We were a group of 8, parents, in-laws, our two children, my husband and I. And we all had a wonderful, very relaxing time. The rooms are very well appointed, feel luxurious, with many thoughtful touches everywhere. The food was excellent and the staff was very considerate in tailoring it to our needs. The housekeeping and support staff were also very helpful and attentive to all our needs, especially those of our parents.
Gamyam started off as an Ayurvedic Wellness retreat, but they have now added a “Leisure” offering. I would recommended Gamyam for both. If you are looking for a wellness programme rooted in Ayurveda, they have several plans that would suit your needs. We used the Ayurvedic treatments at the spa, and they were very good. I also attended their yoga and meditation classes, and found the facilitators very knowledgeable and wanting to spread the idea of wellness rooted in yoga and ayurveda.
However, this place is sure to check all your boxes if you’re just looking for a calm, relaxed holiday as well. There are some activities and sight seeing opportunities available, as well as easy access to the beach. Long walks in the property itself would make for a very relaxed time.
Overall, the experience felt very personalised, and not like a commercial resort with cookie cutter offerings. We couldn’t have asked for a more relaxed, refreshing experience.

We traveled as a couple. It was a very good experience. They have exclusive access to the beach. Sea is clean and so is the beach. With very less people to disturb the calmness of the sea it was very enriching experience.
Resort plays Lalitha Sahasranamam in evenings which is calming and soothing to the mind and gives a very good relaxing vibe and soft flute during dawn. Listening to it and strolling in the resort was very enjoyable.
Food was very tasty and a bit pricey too. Would appreciate if they can prohibit smoking and alcohol in the resort.
Overall very good experience and would love to unwind again when there is a chance.

Hi All, We went to Gamyam Retreat last week for 4 days and it was a wonderful experience in the serene atmosphere, beautiful landscaping, clean surroundings and a very accommodating staff hats off to the management. We had booked 4 Superior room’s however got an upgrade to 3 villas and 1 superior room.. rooms were very spacious and well maintained, housekeeping staff was good and arrived on time to provide service ..They have one of the biggest pool in the area and the ayurvedic massage was a cherry on the cake. Food is good, more variety can be introduced in breakfast

We loved our visit to this place.. it is the best place to stay in kumta and around Gokarna.Location is exquisite and feels greatly away from city life, which makes this place the best one for relaxation.
My family had a great experience with the staff and the service they provided..
Rooms were extremely clean and well maintained by house keeping staff
Food was delicious and appreciate the chef’s and staff at the restaurant for a fine dining experience.

I stayed for 2 nights in cluster 4 premium room it is very expensive but still i paid in a hope fir good holiday and latter i felt it is not value for money at all. Staff are rude and never respond to any help (hopeless ) You have to repeatedly ask for any assistance or help. They say it was a wellness centre before! I took massage there, but it was waste of money again, no trained or Proffectional therapist . If u complaint they do not care at all They ignore you as main front office person are least bothered about u visit again or not .
When you call gamyam retret for room booking it will connect to mumbai office where person named sachin took our book and said property is good etc … you will not regret when u visit their resort,
But in realty sachin ( booking person ) will not be present in the property when u visit the resort so what ever you talk or suggest or take discount during booking will not be applied when u go to resort Please be careful about this.
So please think twice before booking this property.

What a amazing resort. Cant get enough. Too spacious, activities, clean, great service from reception.
Pick the phone and call for a buggy and its there in max 2 - 5 mnts,
Go out and come back to room, your room will be cleaned again and decorated. Thanks to room service.
Restaurant serves delicious food (but too pricey)
There are lot of birds inside the resort including peacocks, Just the thing you need in a resort for relaxation and bird watching.
Cant forget to mention that private beach, its so clean, Spent lot of time there.
Everyone are so humble and customer service oriented.
Things to know for future travellers:
1. Gokarna is atleast 1.5 to 2 Hours from Gamyam Resort 2. Gamyam does not serve Alcohol in there resort. You can bring your own.
Feedback: There is no AC in the Reception area, Please make sure get AC in the reception area. Not sure why this was left out.
Overall, an amazing stay, Will surely return back.
