What an amazing hotel stay at Raaga on the Ganges. Beautiful backdrop of Himalayan ranges and Ganga at the base of the hotel . Loved the private aarti in the evening . The hotel has steps for room , pool, reception area but golf carts are available for ease. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. We forgot our iPad in the rooms and they shipped it back to Delhi. With special meal requests, and full course breakfast buffet to early morning guided hike to Ganga Beach… no one can beat this kind of hospitality . Will surely be coming back 🙏👌🏻🤞
We planned an impromptu trip to Rishikesh and found this really interesting property Raga on the Ganges. Its a 40min drive from the main city of Rishikesh on the Kedarnath-Hemkunt Sahib road. The road from Rishikesh to Raga is splendid with the river Ganga flowing next to the hilly route. The property looks cozy and cute from the reception but that’s just the beginning, the area is huge and the built up is magnificent. Raga on the Ganges has a huge property and directly overlooks the serene flowing Ganga. We arrived in the evening and were offered Hi-Tea which was followed by Ganga Arti at 6pm. It was enriching first time experience. We were then greeted by the Spa Manager - Akash, who guided us and showed us the spa area of the resort. The view and location of the spa was mesmerizing overlooking the Ganga. It is built in separate sections for different kinds of treatment and spa therapies. The spa manager was courteous and patiently explained us all the rooms including the dedicated steam room. They have a wide variety of massages, therapies and treatments. A spa or aromatherapy at this place would be so so relaxing but due our tight schedule we couldn’t manage to get a massage but its definite recommendation to go and have any short or long spa therapy. It was dark when we left the spa section and started to venture around the property, it was HUGE and peaceful. You don’t hear the traffic or the buzz of the main road, just the peaceful flow of Ganga. Rooms are not built on a cookie cutter design, they are made as per the location on the hills. We were upgraded to a different location of the same room category which had massive bathroom and a big private garden with a sit out swing. The room was big yet cozy with a big window overlooking the private garden. We requested for private bonfire (which was chargeable) and ordered food. The evening/night with music and food was so relaxing and pleasurable. The morning breakfast had a decent spread and was tasteful. The live counter was serving fast and special mention of the chicken sausages which were so juicy. Post the breakfast we decided to explore the property in day light and we were so impressed. The place had umpteen number of decks/patio/garden/station to just sit, relax and soak in the sun. They also have multiple libraries and glass halls which are beautifully done making them very inviting. Take your book, lie down on the couch, have a magnificent view of the Ganga and the hills, sip some coffee and read along. The resort has private stairs that lead to the river banks. Its a small river bank and the resort has made a small seating as well, we ventured down and relaxed by the flowing river. The resort also provides bicycles which one can do on the main road, this is in addition to the plethora of indoor and garden activities the resort offers. Every morning at 6.45am there is a dedicated 2-3 hr trek which one shouldn’t miss. They take you to the other side of the river, its a fairly decent trek with steep decline and an picturesque bridge to cross. They organise exercises, yoga and fun games which is followed by tea and sandwiches. You can then relax and click pictures by the river. In my opinion its a perfect getaway place for a minimum of 2-3 nights. In our stay of 2 nights we explored and ventured a lot in and around the property and still felt the need to stay for another 2 more days to fully experience the place. Its aptly suited for big and small groups.…
Great place to stay. The property has many points to relax. Great view of mountain and river. Shivam and team has exceptional service. Food service is also good. One must go down till the end of the property and near the river. The view will beautiful.
Could not find any negative points. 1. Extremely courteous staff, always helpful 2. Out of the world location and design of the resort 3. Extremely neat and clean and tidy rooms, passages, steps to different levels 4. Superbly beautifully places rooms so that from most of the room, one can view The Ganges and the backdrop Shivalik mountain range 5. Extremely superb quality of food ranging from typical North India/Muglai to Chinese be it breakfast or lunch or dinner

Fantastic stay with Raga on the Ganges . Property with adjacent to Maa Ganga has Fabulous location and their courteous and helpful hotel staff makes this property wonderful. I am impressed a lot with Mr .Pankaj’s hospitality in the restaurant .. in the hotel Ganga Aarti , High tea , early morning trekking , delicious food in the restaurant makes our stay special . Rooms allotted to us in new block are spacious . Also want to point things which I feel need improvement. Firstly rooms furniture and finishing is quite ordinary , secondly swimming pool is too small and have cleaning issues , third one restaurant menu was small . Although I like every bit of Raga on the Ganges and want to stay here Every time I visit Rishikesh .
It was a great experience staying at Raga.... I want to mention special thanks to housekeeping staff Mahendra Rawat and Sachin for their services... The 1 star less is because of food...It could have been better taste wise... Overall a perfect hideout near Delhi...
The employees in Raga are friendly. Especially Pritam and Aroon at the reception have been very helpful. The property is amazing and the beach which is connected to it is serene. The only thing which I am not completely satisfied with is the food.
