We visited Spashram during the new year weekend and the stay was just what we wanted - Serene, Peaceful and Secluded. There's a private beach where you can lounge around and the owner Mr. Indrajeet personally looks after your food and hospitality. Just the right place for being outdoor and social distancing

This place is good for people who would like to have an experiential vacation. The owner Mr. Inderjit Singh takes a personal interest in the place, yummy food (continental, Indian, and Indo Chinese). Rooms were clean and extremely comfortable, hot water was available 24*7. Very courteous and supportive staff. Pet friendly, it is your choice if you would like to do any activities else you can relax on the private beach and spend the day looking at the Ganges. while everyone says that their place is facing the Ganges, this is actually the place where you have easy and personal access to the Ganges. Thank you for making this a memorable New year eve.

Spashram River Mountain Retreat is the perfect spot for those hoping to kick back, relax, and be one with nature. The two cabins available are spacious and have stunning views of the Ganges river. What made this trip truly memorable, however, was the sinful food and the extremely hospitable staff and host. I was particularly impressed by the farm to table approach adopted by Spashram and the sustainable attitude with which it functions. A host of activities ranging from yoga to treks are available to those who are inclined towards the same.

Spashram is truly a gem. After almost a year of being locked at home, we were desperately looking for a place that would give us solace from the monotony and anxiety filled days due to the pandemic. Spashram was the perfect place that we were looking for. There are endless best things about this place. But, sharing a few: 1. The location is one of the best. Surrounded amidst the forests, there are only 2 bungalows (there are limited guests, so you are naturally safe from the crowd) which are very well maintained and has amazing views of the Ganges. 2. It is very accessible to the river beach area, place for ultimate peace and tranquil. 3. The variety of birds that I saw at Spashram is unmatchable. 4. The best thing about Spashram is that Mr. Singh has ensured that the biodiversity remains intact unlike any other resort/ hotels where they mindlessly clear up the forests for construction and beautification which is environmentally unsustainable. One could easily see those differences by just comparing this property with the Taj hotel that just lies adjacent. I wouldn’t want a holiday at the cost of such irreparable damage to the environment. We have inherited these beautiful natural resources from our ancestors and hence it is our duty to preserve it for our future generations. The nature in its original form is itself a luxury and not something to be created by us for profit-making and thereby destroying the native flora and fauna. 5. The entire team of Spashram were super. They took utmost care during our stay and their idea of arranging dining experiences at various picturesque points were commendable. Engaging local community for taking care of the property is also something that I really liked. Interacting with them would help you understand better about their symbiotic relation with the nature. Lot to learn from them! 6. Last, but not the least, Mr. Singh who we didn’t have the opportunity to meet but just connected over phone, is extremely caring. He was constantly coordinating with us and his staff members ensuring that we have a good time at Spashram, something that we all miss these days- the warmth & the connection! I highly recommend this place not only to nature lovers but also to everyone who really need to experience and understand why we need to preserve our rich bio-diversity and why we must stop creating a demand for those ‘luxurious’ stays at high-end commercial resorts and hotels that contribute to an irreversible damage to our environment. I must also share there is no parking area. We parked our car on the road but it is completely safe. And to reach the property, one has to trek downhill for about 8-10 minutes. It’s a narrow road, so people having any walking difficulties should avoid. But for others, I can assure you that you wouldn’t regret. The views on the path to the property are breath-taking. My 9-year-old kid thoroughly enjoyed the stay.

It was a pleasure to have you both and your son visit us! To know that you selected our property for the preservation we have been undertaking for three decades and then appreciating all its aspects is most rewarding for us! We certainly look forward to a repeat visit when your son can undertake some soft adventure. Understanding our ethos means a great deal to us and we appreciate the detailed review including the walk down and parking as we like transparency. In due course we will have a balustrade for the four foot path, designed for slowing the walker to enjoy the dramatic high views!

We were lucky to find this hidden gem right by the holy Ganga, hidden from the road and approached by a meandering path with hanging forest. The best location with birdlife preserved by the owner. Listening to the sound of barking deer by a driftwood fire under the brilliant night sky is magical. The private Aarti, nature walk and BBQ as well as ayurvedic massage were all superlative. Top class food, linen and dining and under canvas or alfresco experience are etched in our minds and great value for an unmatched experience. We can't wait to return to Spashram next year.

Spashram River Mountain Retreat has excellent place for quick getaway out of the city life. We visited on the first week of January. The rooms are warm and cozy. Besides the breath-taking surroundings, the staff and the owner Inderjit Singh and the staff are very helpful and friendly. The beach was clean and we had a morning yoga session there. We had a wonderful time and I hope to visit again in the near future.

Magical, mystical and all of the abundance one can experience at a single location. I absolutely loved it. The location is breathtaking beautiful. As you climb down the mountain not knowing what you expect, the raw ethereal beauty of Spashram hits you in the heart. Al fresco lunches, bonfire outdoor camps, dinner in a tent to the sound of the night, sky full of stars, the lull of the Ganges as she roars silently down the valley, the early morning chirp of birds greeting you, and the food for the soul. I will go back, again and again.
