Our family of 4 stayed at the Domes of Corfu for 7 days earlier in August. This was my wife and myself plus our 2 kids aged 14 and 7. Overall we had an amazing stay. We had not been abroad since 2020 due to Covid so splurged on a luxury Family room with a swim up pool. The hotel setting itself is amazing, as Glyfada beach is beautiful with an amazing sunset every night and the main pool overlooks the beach. The way the pool for the rooms works is that there is about 10 rooms on the bottom floor which open up into a long thin private pool area for those rooms which our kids loved. There is a deck area with your own sun loungers/umbrella which was great to chill out away from the main pool. The hotel is relatively small which means that everything is close which meant you could just walk from your private pool area to the main pool and beach and vice versa. The food was great as well, we stayed half board and the buffet options were fantastic and we also ate at the Italian and seafood restaurants which were lovely. The staff were so friendly and my 7 year old son made friends with one lady called Demi who he is still talking about now! We got a lounge benefit with our room which had free drinks and snacks which was an unexpected bonus and well used over the trip! Location is great although Glyfada is a little out of the way. There are a few local supermarkets and bars/restaurants but not a huge amount. On the beach they offer watersports but the highlight for me was snorkelling by the rocks at either end in crystal clear waters with lots of fish (although would note that this involves walking past the nudists at the far left end of the beach!). The sea is amazing and an absolute highlight, but if you like to go and see things you will need to hire a car. We did hire a car using a ad from a local supermarket - was able to arrange via WhatsApp and it worked really well so would definitely recommend that and a trip to the old town which is about 30 minutes away. So areas for improvement - as others have said the rooms are quite small even the top end ones, there is a curtain to separate the adult and kids areas in the room but you are quite on top of each other. The other thing was that it seemed to take a long time to get the room serviced - a few days we came back at around 4pm and the room still had not been done. Even when it had been done, I would probably say the standard of cleaning was not really 5 star but acceptable. Overall though little things considering the benefits and sitting here writing this from my sofa I would much rather be back at Domes of Corfu and would go back in a heartbeat - overall highly recommended!

Hotel's Favourite
What a wonderful new hotel. We stayed here middle October 2021 and cannot rave enough about this hotel. It’s a brand new refurbishment and an incredible amount of thought and design has gone into this hotel. The staff at this hotel are all exceptional; every single one of them. I have never been to a hotel where the customer service was so good and all the staff so helpful and genuinely friendly. The resort is very small with basically only the hotel and a small apartment complex in this bay so the hotel basically has its own private beach, one of the nicest beaches on the island too! The hotel is large enough to have a wide range of facilities (including a kids club for younger children), but small enough to be intimate. If you’re after lots of local bars, cheap tacky shops etc then this is not the resort for you. There was live music most evenings (but no cringeworthy tribute acts or karaoke). There’s two independent beach restaurants that was closed this time of year, probably because of the pandemic, but I reckon would be open next summer and an excellent array of watersports and boat excursions available at reasonable prices (independent from the hotel). The hotel has plenty of sunloungers both around the pool and on the beach, with an excellent beach side bar and restaurant, serving very tasty food (generous servings) and top class waiter service. The buffet meals were fantastic in the main restaurant and we ate one night at Topos the seafood restaurant by the beach. We had a dine around package which allowed us to eat there at no extra cost, but even if you had to pay was still reasonably priced and a lovely setting right on the beach watching the sunset. The west facing aspect of this hotel is its secret weapon in my opinion. The sunsets are just incredible. We had a sapphire (ocean facing) room so was able to sit out on our balcony for the view, but the hotel has a fantastic terrace allowing everyone access to this incredible view. The rooms aren’t massive, but very well appointed and we didn’t soend that much time in them anyway (mostly any time in the room was spent on the balcony looking at the ocean!). The beds are large and extremely comfortable. The hotel runs a complimentary shuttle bus to corfu old town, which is a great touch and you can arrange car rental from the hotel, which we did one day when the weather forecast was less favorable. Having explored most of the island that day, I can categorically confirm that this hotel has the very best spot on the island! The western aspect means it’s less likely to rain late in the season and the natural scenery around it was breathtaking. We went for hikes every morning before breakfast up to the nearest little village on top of the hill and around the surrounding trails. If you’re less adventurous (we used a combination of Google maps and All Trails maps to forge our way) then the hotel can arrange guided walks. Well done to an excellent first season, we cannot recommend this hotel enough

Pros: fantastic staff, especially in the restaurants and kids club. Special thanks to Dimitra, our children were heartbroken to say goodbye! (The kids club is supposedly age 4-12 but I think age 8+ would find it v boring.) Food was good and sufficiently varied for us; the a la carte was a v good restaurant standard. Buffet also good, particularly the freshly cooked stations. Haute Living - good selection of drinks and snacks (which seemed to be leftover from previous buffet meals- good not to waste I suppose.) Very comfy beds, including sofa beds for children. The vibe of the place is very relaxed, quiet (which was great for us). Some limited reserving of sun beds but most people didn’t do this and lots free throughout the day. Cons: housekeeping was a bit random- often not the right number of towels or water cartons etc. Rooms are ‘Parisian’- cosy would be another way to describe- not spacious. The weekly ‘entertainment’ programme is not as described (there wasn’t any whilst we were there.) This didn’t particularly matter to us but were a bit disappointed not to see the orchestra as billed. (There is really nothing to do here- fine as this is what I expected but I don’t think I would come to this resort if my kids were much older than 8 or so.) Welcome package of drinks, charcuterie and fruit (we arrived late) was appreciated, as were the complimentary bottle of wine and nougat. Note: another poster mentioned the pool being closed because of poop in the pool- this was a one-off in the 10 days we were there and many people just went to the beach instead which is just a few steps away. Not terribly surprising when some of the babies/toddlers were in nappies only- hotel should bring in a proper ‘happy nappy’ rule! Was more bothered that there was no lifeguard for the final few days of our stay.

We have just recently returned from a week’s stay and what a wonderful week it was. We had a smooth check in even though we were delayed and ended up arriving at 1am, we had a mountain view room on floor 3 which had a beautiful view and partial sea view. When we arrived in our room we had a couple of food platters and some Prosecco to greet us, it was such a lovely welcome. Beach and pools are both brilliant, we have 2 small children so it was perfect to have both a toddler pool and the large main pool for them to swim in. Our oldest visited the kids club regularly and really enjoyed it, the staff there were very lovely. We only visited the buffet restaurant Agora but the food choices were more than sufficient, there was a wide range of delicious food, personally I feel the pudding choices could be a little bit better, but that’s a tiny criticism. We were on half board but had the family package too which included lunch for the kids and an ice cream for the kids every day. I do agree with some of the understaffing comments, especially in the lunch restaurant, some days we were left waiting a while for our order to be taken but we could see there were some staffing issues, and unfortunately with Covid etc we understand that these things may happen. I visited the spa and had a lovely Swedish massage, would highly recommend. There is a very cool, relaxed vibe in the hotel, even with lots of families and kids around. We liked the fact that there was no pool entertainment or loud music at night, it meant we could have a relaxed week away (well as relaxed as you can get with 2 kids) Overall we had a great week away in a beautiful hotel, and would definitely recommend a visit here.

Staff were fantastic, very helpful. Food was good although started to get repetitive in week 2. Room was great although cost a fortune (swim up family suite). Location was great, beach was lovely. Although drive to the hotel through Pelekas was tricky to say the least. The main thing that let this hotel down was the poor entertainment, almost non existent. We went with our 2 daughters, aged 11 and 15 and there was nothing for them to do. They were very bored. Very poor for a 5 star hotel. Should have had some decent shows, but absolutely nothing. They were really bored. I would suggest you go with babies or older teenager who can stay up late drinking in the bar. I've been to 4 start hotels with better entertainment than this one.

Dear tahomer, Thank you ever so much for staying with us and for sharing here your lovely and constructive feedback. We are so glad you had a nice stay overall! Regarding the entertainment, there is a weekly program available with live music, dj nights, olive oil tasting, philharmonic orchestra concert etc. but there is certainly room for improvement and any suggestions are always very welcome. In the meantime, we are sending you our best wishes and looking forward to welcome you back to sunny Corfu in the near future. All my best, Iro Svarnia Guest Relations Manager

We just came home from a week’s holiday at Domes, travelling with our son, who’s 1,5. We were looking for a place where we could relax as a family (lots of convenience and a positive attitude towards kids), but wanted to avoid a crowded family resort with bad food and chaotic vibes. I’d say Domes of Corfu definitely did the job - it’s super family-oriented (so much that I would probably never stay there without kids), but with a tasteful decor and an unbeatable location on what’s probably the best beach I’ve ever come across in Europe. I need to highlight the super sweet staff at the Agora buffet restaurant, who every day greeted us with warm hospitality and lots of smiles for our little boy. You made our holiday truly special! When I cannot give Domes more than 4 stars, it’s because they’re not meeting the standards in several places. First, the cleaning was superficial and often forgot various elements, the pool bar and Spianada restaurant were understaffed (and staff also seemed untrained), which resulted in too much waiting time, and some areas really need finish. As an example, we would consequently find strips of painting in the kids’ pool, and the bathrooms were kind of sloppily renovated. Also, I have to mention that the hotel unfortunately is not doing enough to stop people’s shameless hogging of sun beds. Most often, 50% of all sun beds at both the pool and the beach would be “reserved” by 9.00, without anyone using them before noon. The hotel put up reminders, but honestly - there’s no way to stop this behaviour than by simply removing people’s stuff. One last thing: Be aware that the Tropical Rooms are facing the car park. The rooms on the top floor are probably okay, but the ones from 1-3 have balconies facing the parked cars. We stayed in a Sapphire Room with sea view, but couldn’t help note the creative marketing spin on this fact.

Dear Ida Brixtofte N, Thank you kindly for choosing us and for the time you dedicated on sharing here your review. I am really glad to hearing your nice overall experience and particularly alerted from the low points mentioned. Please let me reassure you, the team is trying their best to prevent people from reserving sunbeds. Also, please accept me sincere apologies on the poor housekeeping service received and rest assured your feedback is already passed on to the housekeeping manager. Regarding the Tropical Retreat rooms they all have a direct window view to the mountain, which does of course differ, depending what floor you are on. I would love to thank you once more for choosing to stay with us and we look forward to welcome you back when your travel plans allow. All my best, Iro Svarnia Guest Relations Manager

We traveled from US to Corfu, we were looking forward to spend a week with our family here. We had booked a Family Suite with a Sofa Bed, we are party of four (two adult two kids). When we arrived they told us they do not have any more rooms with Sofa Bed, they have no roller beds. They refused to accommodate us for the room we had booked, made us wait until 11pm (with two little kids) and could not find the room we had booked. We are paying $850/night plus fees for the family suite and they refused to provide us with the suite we had booked. We are a Platinum Bonvoy member, I called Bonvoy and explained our situation, and Bonvoy manager called the hotel and the hotel refused to even listen to Bonvoy manager on the phone to accommodate us. They have no manager on property. Basically 0 customer service. Please do not fall for the pictures you see on their website or description of the rooms, its not accurate. Very disappointing. Do NOT stay here, you can find a nicer hotel with better customer service.

We have so far stayed for 11 of our 14 night stay and have enjoyed every minute. This resort is absolutely perfect for our needs as a family and thanks to the wonderful staff we have been able to enjoy our holiday more than we ever expected to! We have 2 young children who have made friends and spent a lot of time in the kids club and crèche. I booked both online at home before we arrived to ensure we had our spaces confirmed, but most people are booking whilst in resort. The staff are wonderful as are all the other children we have met. We are staying in a swimup room which I cannot recommend enough! When our baby naps we get to spend time with our 4 year old on the terrace and in the pool. This is exactly the setup we hoped for and are not disappointed. The pool is warm and clean, and the other families in the neighbouring rooms all very friendly. Only down side to the rooms is the poor housekeeping standards, but they are quite obviously understaffed from Covid - like every hotel everywhere! If you want the best massage EVER ask for Statima at the spa. Best massage I have ever had!! The beach is just WOW, the water is warm, clear and shallow. It’s going to be hard to find a better location. Before I left I was worried about some reviews, but I can’t agree with all the moaning. You get what you pay for, and this isn’t the Four Seasons… Wasps, there are plenty but actually arent bothering anyone. Just make sure you wear shoes on the grass. Buffet, food is good we haven’t got bored yet and we have done nearly 2 weeks.. Sun beds by the pool, there are plenty of empty, I don’t see the problem. There is always space on the beach too which is just beautiful. Thank you Domes!!
