We went on a whale watching tour and had not planned to eat here. Keeping in mind that we were all tired and quite hungry, I was pleasantly surprised. Most of the reviews had this place as something to avoid. The food was very tasty, it was expensive but very good. Not sure about the rest of the menu but...

My girlfriend and I stayed overnight in August for whale watching. Our accomodations were great and the staff were helpful. We had a great dinner and breakfast the following morning. I have stayed at the lodge at least 4 times and have never had an issue.

Lodge overlooked the outlet towards the ocean. Beautiful sunset. You can walk down to the lighthouse where we did hear you could actually see whales from there. Restaurant was the only place to eat on the island. We found it expensive and mediocre taste. We asked for extra tea bags as the tea bags they offered were known to be...

We really did not know what to expect on Brier Island this time of year as it was almost the end of the season. The lodge was very rustic but definitely met our needs. The loud TV in the lobby was a little annoying, but the hostess was helpful and this was the only restaurant open on the island as...

Dinner was ok. It's the only real restaurant on the Island- we stayed at Paradise on Brier an air Bnb which was amazing & had a kitchen- we were very glad it did. Brier Island itself is a gem! I highly recommend a trip to Brier Island it's well worth the ride!

During the summer I had planned to go whale watching out of Brier Island, Digby County, Nova Scotia but it was a busy summer with lots of visitors and the opportunity never happened.....however when September rolled in I said this is it and I made my plan to drive the three hours from the South Shore of Nova Scotia over...

My parents and I stayed here on a recent trip to Nova Scotia. Our rooms we located near the restaurant. They were clean and adequate. No TVs or airconditioning. The staff was helpful. We had amazing food. The scallops were extraordinary as was the strawberry and tarragon panacotta. Devine. We did the whale watching package.

It's not cheap but it's not going to break the bank, either. The Brier Island Lodge is a really great place to spend the night on the island before or after taking a whale watching cruise, which is why most tourists come here. The staff was excellent, both at the desk and in the dining room. All rooms have views...

We spent two nights at this hotel and found everything clean and comfortable. No TV which was just fine. Handy to everything on the island and offers an onsite restaurant that has great Digby scallops.

What a wonderful get away and getting away is exactly what Brier Island Lodge is about. Short ferry ride to Brier Island brings you to this beautiful, remote hilltop lodge offering comfortable, simply furnished, clean and quiet rooms with large picture windows overlooking the harbor and its winding road to town. TV is in lobby of main house where you...
