This hotel is old, the elevator looks like it falling apart. The rooms do not have any furniture. No sofa, no work desk, and no refrigerator. The King Balcony view is very nice, but everything is old and falling apart. My shower head almost came out of the wall, the hot water takes a long time to heat up and then it does not last long.
We were not refunded our funds for the reservation even though we didn’t stay there because we couldn’t travel to Puerto Rico because our flights were cancelled due to Hurricane Fiona. They should be more compassionate with clients who cannot not travel due to natural disasters
The room we were given had a leaking AC. After letting the staff know, they changed our room but this room also had a leak near the AC and the AC was so loud that I could not sleep at night. The bathroom had a cigarette smell although it was a non smoking room
My experience was absolutely awful. The bathroom was filthy with residue of so go on the walls from the previous guest still there. The TV was not working. The room was filthy with sand in between the bedsheets and underneath the pillow. The AC did not work. The ice machine did not work. The pool was dirty and the glass surrounding the fence on the rooftop it was so filthy that you cannot even see through the transparent glass. In the balcony you cannot put a chair outside, so the pictures are extremely misleading. And, The AC was leaking into the balcony so I was not able to utilize about them anyway shape of form. There was no hot water running in the shower.
Hotel is under construction with lots of noise. Bedroom sheets were not replaced just organized they had sand all over. The bathroom sink clogged, the shower head power was weak, Our safe box broke never got fixed, our room phone was not working therefore any emergency you couldn't call the front desk. The restaurant on the main level was barely opened due to employees not coming in to work.
We loved the Water Beach Hotel prior to 2017. At this point it is being renovated and not up to the standard that we previously experienced. The staff was very courteous but the rooms had little amenities such as no mini fridge and no place to put the coffee maker as well as not enough soaps and shampoo, toilet paper, etc which for the price of the room should not be in sparse supply The worst experience was with the beach attendant for chairs and umbrellas. He was very surly and at one point told us he wouldn't give us an umbrella because he didn't want to get wet! We had to ask him for an umbrella each time and even with tipping him everyday he did not change his attitude that he was doing us a favor. This was very off putting when you stay at a nice hotel and the beach experience is marred by a antagonistic beach attendant. Gete someone else!!…
My husband and I stayed 07/04/22-07/07/22. The overall experience here was OK. Valet attendant Savi (not sure if I spelled it correctly) was very welcoming, friendly and attentive. He always offered and suggested locations/ restaurants to visit while on our stay. Concierge was nice and friendly. I do feel the pictures online throw off the reality of how the bedrooms are. The bedroom we were accommodated into had no mini fridge which I feel would’ve been necessary for any refreshments we may of wanted to keep cold. There are no night tables/ chest to put away clothes or undergarments the room only offered a closet to hang minimal clothing. The roof top view was nice and had a nice small lounge/ pool area. If I had to choose again I wouldn’t stay unless these necessary minor details where upgraded. We did enjoy the touch of the blue lighting in our room and cleanliness.…
Beautiful hotel staff was very friendly and knowledgable. Overall a great experience. Staff knew exactly what tourist spots to recommend. Front desk personnel made it very easy to check in and even escorted me to my room.
We just got back from a week at the Water Beach Club. We had two rooms, one with an ocean view. The rooms were clean and in a fabulous location right on the best swimming beach in San Juan. It clearly is still recovering from Maria, as we could hear some construction noises occasionally mid-day. Overall, it was a terrific stay with lovely staff. Our waiter for the week was a total doll, and very patient with my kids and their Spanish-in-progress. Overall, it was a great location and great choice. The area was also safe to wander around to try different restaurants each evening, all within walking distance of the hotel. The only reason for the four and not five star review was the price of the rooftop restaurant. I don't think we'd mind spending a ton of money for a nice dinner for a date night, but to feed two teenage boys, it was not a lot of food for a very hefty price tag. (Delicious food, mind you, but $85 for a steak was extreme).…
Awesome experience, went with family & friends & the entire staff treated me and my family like family. Customer service was exceptional and everyone was super sweet, professional and I honestly felt as I was home. Rooms were absolutely clean & Covid safe with all appropriate protocols and everyone enjoyed taking care of the customers. I absolutely adored all of the bellman, the staff who took care of the chairs outside, those at the front desk, those who cleaned the rooms, supervisors, waitress at the KU MO restaurant.. I’m listing names, Marcos, Marcos, Cuba, Janet, Fernando, Jose, Jonel, Andrelis, y Hector. My apologies if I missed to staff. I wish I could do more. I would come back in a heart beat. Sincerely Elba
