We loved this hotel. The staff was kind and accommodating. The room was BEAUTIFUL!! Newly remodeled. The rennovations are still happening so just be aware of that but it really did not bother us or our stay and we were on the floor below the construction. Also, the lovvy and the hallways have some wonderful scent, if anyone knows what the scent is PLEASE let us know!! great experience.

I hate writing this because this is our 4th time staying here. So it used to be our staple, we were loyal customers. We even recommended this hotel to people looking for a place to stay, but I cannot do that in good conscience anymore. When we drove up on our first day after our flights we were HORRIFIED!! It looks like an absolute dump. I understand construction, but when you don’t warn your customers about the true state of affairs, I cannot understand that or even value you as a reliable business anymore. The Uber drivers who dropped us off and picked us up everyday were shocked. They asked if we were sure this is where we were supposed to be. It is incredibly poor taste on the Management not to close it down during the major construction. The outside is unrecognizable and there is sewer water coming up the drainage where the valet is sitting. There is only 1 of 2 working elevators and that elevator only works half the time. I’m not even sure it has walls because it has moving blankets covering the walls. The ceiling tile in the elevator fell, so one is missing. It is truthfully scary. I actually had to walk down the 10 flights of stairs because the elevator wasn’t working. I will say that the renovations to the rooms are nice, but that only goes so far with the rest of the issues. We also did not have hot water in our room. This establishment considers itself a 4 star, but there is no way a 4 star would allow customers to stay during the condition this place is in. For a place that requires you to pay in full upon booking, you should have MUCH more transparency. They did at least refund the “resort fee”, but that was nothing considering the state of affairs. There are two very nice young men that work the front desk and my heart truly goes out to them because they are the ones who have to deal with this and they have no power to do anything. I wish I had gotten their names, but one knows A LOT about the island and can give great recs if it rains during your stay which it did on our first stay and then he gave us great recs when we came back a week later to find calmer waters. The other young man is just so nice. I truly feel terrible for them and give them the utmost respect holding it together during this disaster. All this to say, I think once the construction is finally completed, it would be a good stay again, but no way to know. It’s truly just poor management.…

Had a chance to take my wife for a quick birthday getaway. I have to say when we first arrived a saw the construction going on I was taken back and didn’t know what to feel. Once our room was ready and were able to go to our room there was a huge feeling of relief. Beautiful room, super comfortable bed. Ocean view was amazing. Site stated a balcony. Yes, but not really. Balcony only has about 8 inches of depth so it’s pretty useless. The front desk personnel were warm and friendly. Special shout out to GG at the restaurant on the 1st floor. She could not be any nicer. KUMO the roof top restaurant is amazing and reasonably priced. We actually had dinner there twice and both times we were completely satisfied. Beach service is also worth mentioning. You can have drinks and lunch taken to you on the beach while enjoying the beautiful clean beach. It was a wonderful stay. …

The only thing I found not satisfying was that there was no warning for the on-site construction! We were up and about to see the town so it didn’t impact us but still common courtesy! the outside windows at our room were dirty everything else was clean. I couldn’t see the ocean front that I went there in the first place for! The breakfast restaurant server was very kind and helpful ! the check out agent front desk young lady was also very kind and warmth, Breakfast was better than other places I ate it was tasty! Also the vallet and luggage carrier staff were prompt! Valet personal needs a bit more enthusiasm! The rooms are beautiful and excellent lighting ! This review is long overdue but I wanted to let my feelings be calm so I could write a fair review. I chose the hotel because of the proximity to the airport . My Son and I arrived to the hotel late at night from a flight from Europe. The 2 bell boys who saw us arrived were chatting away and did not bother to offer help. Reception was very friendly and helpful. We chose one of the renovated suites which are very nice. We were comfortable and happy with the room. As we had to leave the hotel at 4:00 am, we had very little time in the hotel so I can not say more. But what I am about to write now is what makes me give the hotel 1 out of 5. I left my diamond earrings on top of the bed in the hurry to leave for the airport. I didn’t realise that I was not wearing them until half way in the flight. The moment I arrived to my destination which was around 8:40 am I wrote a letter to reservations ( the only contact I had) a day passed and no reply. So I decided to call the hotel. I spoke to someone in management and I told her the story and she said that she would call me back after enquiring but she never did. So I called and called the next day until someone picked up the phone and I managed to speak to the same person who told me the hotel manager would call me. The hotel manager never called me. I tried calling and calling , left a message to the manager and I never received a call, letter or reply. So I decided to write to reservations again, telling her that I would be filing a police report on my return to PR . She replied that that was my right and that they had investigated and none of their employees had seen my earrings. I really wasn’t expecting my earrings to be returned I knew I would never see them again but I expected more from the management . So badly handled.…

Birthday trip for me. First time in Puerto Rico. Amazing! Hotel is currently being renovated and work starts around 8am which is kind of early. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The room was gorgeous. They provided complimentary slippers and robes. The hotel is being updated very sophisticated and modern. The rooftop infinity pool phots are a little misleading. But the ocean is steps away. Complimentary beach loungers umbrellas and towels are set up for you with access to a servicer to bring you drinks and food while at the beach. The Wi-Fi is horrible slow and unreliable. But other than that it was an amazing trip.
