This is a standard Hampton Inn property, so you know what to expect and this is no exception. Clean rooms, nice bed, well insulated (it’s close to the airport but the little noise entering the room iwas not an issue for me). I left with a very bad taste in the mouth due to the $38/day “resort fee”. The swimming pool was under maintenance and they offered guests to visit the swimming pool of some other hotel nearby. That’s like asking your guests to sleep somewhere else, but not at the hotel you booked! Nobody wants that, nor were we informed about this swimming pool maintenance on forehand. I understand maintenance is necessary, but you can’t charge a “resort fee” without a swimming pool. Yes, I saw there was a nice lady offering cheap happy hour drinks from 5-7pm (Bacardi + juice), but that doesn’t make this place a resort. I informed reception that I did not agree with payment the resort fee, but they forced me to. For 4 nights I paid over 150 usd resort fee. I barely write reviews and I’m a reasonable person, but this time I feel robbed. …
Stayed July 15 till 20 and I must say I felt special once inside lobby, everyone greeted me and was smiling. Checking in the clerk explained everything from a-z to me and asked if I had any questions. Once in room it was very clean bed was heavenly and ac was cold. Pool was very clean as was area around it. The poolside bar had great drinks and food and Javier the bartender n cook was very great and made sure all your expectations were met. Cause of his personality we went eat at the grill more than expected. Overall our stay was fabulous.
This trip was for our anniversary, so we really wanted a romantic beach front hotel. Because of the many reviews for some of the larger chains about the lack of cleanliness and facilities in disrepair l, we decided on the one. It was clean first off. They commit to cleaning the rooms every three days. We requested a room cleaning every other day. This request was accommodated each time. We requested and early checkin; however, the room was not ready. We also asked for a room near the elevator which also landed us across from the laundry room and the ice and vending machines. We only heard the ice machine once in a seven night stay. Someone was nice enough to leave laundry detergent and fabric softener for gratis use. The machines are coin operated and the dryer works just like most laundromats as it takes many quarters to dry your clothes. The room doors are heavy and auto slam, so if your neighbor doesn’t hold the door you will hear it loudly. The staff overall was great. I would say about 98% of them. Most of the improved customer services would start at the front desk. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the pool and whirlpool. We observed them being cleaned daily. We even saw the filters removed once. I used the whirlpool one morning and it was sparkling clean. The breakfast is what you would expect at a Hampton Inn. We ate it for a few days and then either ventured out for breakfast or complimented what was there with our dinner from last night. They provide two bottles of water when they clean your room. There is a refrigerator in the room that gets really cold. This was great because it didn’t always happen in hotel rooms. There’s a microwave in the common area. The coffee is good and always available. The beach is about three “city blocks” away. You can borrow beach chairs, towels, and umbrellas, and a cooler bag at the front desk. The nearby beach is beautiful and clean. The water is nice and warm. Overall, we had a wonderful time here. We would recommend it to anyone who wants a comfortable stay. …
Excellent service from all staff in all shifts, clean room and hotel common areas, delicious (complimentary) breakfast with a variety of food items, convenient self-parking option, and great pool bar with tasty food. The hotel location is superb at walking distance to many restaurants and pharmacies. In summary, we have kept returning to this hotel because everything is done with great care and excellence.
Me and my wife had a blast it was my birthday and we didn't hold back. We love the pool and happy hour met few people from different parts of the US as well as native Puerto Ricans. It was lovely also check out the rainforest tour if you're visiting it's beautiful.
We only stayed here for 1 night before we checked into our rental house but we were pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was! We got in late after our flight and the complimentary breakfast was perfect to get our day started. The staff kept it stocked & clean and they were very gracious with the bottles of water. We spent the morning lounging by the pool that we almost had to ourselves. It was so so nice with plenty of loungers and outdoor furniture. The swim up bar was really fun & we ordered lots of yummy drinks (the mojito & margarita being our favorites). After check out we wanted to walk around a little & the front desk was very accommodating by holding our bags for us during this time. Highly recommend!
Upon arrival was greeted by very friendly and helpful staff. We got there early but our room was ready for us. Breakfast and happy hour were unexpected but pleasant perks. Please save your money and book here. So worth it!
My partner and I spent a week at the Hampton Inn & Suites from 5/19-5/26 and we were very satisfied with our stay. The room was very simple and clean. It was not a luxurious place. It was a standard Hampton Inn & Suites. When we arrived we upgraded to a King Suite and it suited our needs. We normally stay at the Embassy Suites down the street but decided to go to the Hampton due to the price. We did not regret our decision. You get the same or better at the Hampton for less price. They gave us some beach chairs we could borrow at the beach, no umbrella. First come, first serve. We lucked out and found some shade underneath some palm trees at the beach. The continental breakfast was simple but very good for us. It was well organized and plentiful. Although we had planned to go out for breakfast at our favorite spot near the hotel, we ended up not going and had the breakfast at the hotel. The beach was a two-three block walk, no big deal for us. Our room was cleaned almost everyday we were there. The staff were friendly and helpful. The pool area was simple with a fairly small pool but it was fine, nothing fancy. We only swam in it once since we are more beach people. Since this hotel is so close to the airport, you can hear the planes take off and land. This is epecially noticable at the pool. We could also hear it in our room but not too much. It really didn't bother us since we knew this before booking this hotel. We were ok with it. In general the hotels in Puerto Rico are extremely expensive and offer very little but we found the Hampton to be reasonably priced in comparison. I would definitely stay there again.…
This was our third time staying at this Hampton Inn. The previous times were over 15 years ago. The hotel has been recently updated and is beautiful. It is well maintained and clean. We were able to check in early as our flight arrived early. Our room was clean and spacious. The evening reception party was a nice addition. The breakfast had several choices of items. Everything was replenish and very well run. We also had lunch at the pool bar and highly recommend eating there. The drinks and burgers are delicious and the price is good! We would definitely stay her again, if sailing out of San Juan.
The hotel and staff was amazing, the food and drink were great!! The room was very clean. The location is about 15-20 minutes from popular tourist attractions we will definitely stay here again!!!!!!!
