I recently spent three nights at Chena Hot Springs and came away with a less than satisfying experience. The room in the main lodge was comfortable after we learned to open windows to control the heat. We had to inquire about this at the front desk. The food offered in the restaurant was very good and service tended to be...

The resort is approximately one hour from Fairbanks but well worth the ride. There are hundreds of hiking trails that can all be easily accessed from the road as you're driving there. Beautiful lakes and scenery as well. The resort was fun. The rooms are just basic hotel rooms and there was no air conditioning but the resort location is...

I thought I would treat my family to a stay at this "resort". The pictures looked so promising, but what I found were dirty and run down rooms that reeked of mildew. The thermostat in our room was broken so we were cold all night. The employees not only seemed unhappy and disgruntled, but also and used foul language while...

Spent one day here, had a beautiful walk in mountains but disappointed with resort, poorly maintained, parts like junk yard, not enough restrooms in lodge. Food was good but served by an insolent waitress who had no conception of customer service.

We knew that this was a very popular spot in Alaska, but we still did not expect what we found. Very touristy even off season, loads of tourists coming off buses. The receptionist was impolite if not rude and the rooms..for some reason we expected character...after all this is a place all the way at the end of the road,...

My friend and I stayed here the weekend of September 19th and encountered a terrible case of bed bugs. The staff didn't seem to be appropriately concerned, and said they were already washing sheets AND mattress pads, drying them on high. They needed to do a much thorough cleaning of rooms. We didn't pay for our stay after showing them...

We are sorry for the experience you encountered during your stay. We do take bed bug issue serious. After our staff was notified of the bed bug issue, our management team and housekeeping department conducted a thorough search of the room and the building. We did not find any physical evidence of bugs. Yet, we carried out our counter-procedure for...

We drove up to the resort to experience the Ice palace and the Hotsprings. I am extremely disappointed with the hospitality of the staff. Not friendly and actually bossy to the guests. The Hotsprings are okay but we have been to much nicer. You either have to stand or drag a chair in to really enjoy the benefits of the...

As Alaskans, we have used the hot springs before and this was our first time to stay overnight. We had a great little room and the springs were included in the price. One needs to know that children are not allowed in the actual spring area but can use the pool. My favorite parts were our lovely fall walk the...

We stayed at Chena for one night, and found it to be certainly acceptable - clean, organized, adequate - but not what it was hyped up to be. There was 6 adults in our group so we took a family suite, it was over $400 for the room and passes to the pool/hot springs lake. The word suite is a...

We. Recently stayed at the RV park at the resort. We paid $20 for a site with no hook ups which I thought was a little high. The hot springs pools are good although again $15 is a bit steep. However this is an experience and we thoroughly enjoyed it. However, the resort need to train their staff in charm...
