What a wonderful hotel. We stayed in a junior suite (Room 204) and it was fantastic with breathtaking views of the valley and the bridge from the Juliet balcony. On more that one occasion we opened up the doors and just sat there taking in the views. All of the staff were great but I must highlight the outstanding service and approach provided by Angela, she was fantastic. We arranged parking through the hotel which meant that the car was stored locally in a garage 1 min from the hotel. When we needed the car Angela would have it available for us at short notice. If you are bringing a car, drive past the hotel (50m) into a small square and leave the car on the right hand side outside number 16. You can then walk back to the hotel with your bags. Breakfast was very good with views to die for as is also the case with the restaurant. We ate in the restaurant on two occasions and they prepared on request, with the assistance of Angela, a light meal for one of our party who wasn’t feeling well, truly great customer service. The only slight downside, not in any way the fault if the hotel, was listening to the bedroom antics of the room next door, on more than one occasion, in fact 4 times in 12hrs, I felt that a round of applause was warranted, as probably did the other rooms on the floor.

We stayed in the Marbella Suite at the Montelerio Hotel for 3 nights in April. We arrived by public bus from Malaga and it was an easy 15-minute walk from the bus station using Google Maps as our assistant.
The room was large with a separate sitting/relaxing area with the most incredible views into the gorge and over the valley below.
Breakfast was adequate though not particularly extensive. Unfortunately the hot items weren't replenished often enough and on our first morning the only available eggs were fried eggs that had been sitting around for a couple of hours and were inedible. The second and third days showed an improvement and the breakfast waitress was lovely and welcoming.
A stunning hotel in a perfect setting and we would recommend paying a little extra for a room with a view.

This is a small facility, perhaps 20 rooms, on a narrow street. Google maps will get you there and you will need the hotel’s private parking ((20Euros /day). Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are small and nicely appointed. The view from the hotel’s restaurant is spectacular. We just had a snack there but some claim the food is good.

The most beautyful view from a hotelroom I have ever seen!

It's a charming and well kept hotel, that also is a museum. Clean and beautiful bedrooms, in style with the old building in a good way. Our room had a air conditioner, which is a "must have" in the heat. If you ever go to Ronda, you definitely should check it out! It's placed in the old town, so you can get a break from all the tourists and enjoy the glorious view of Ronda. The receptionist was really helpful and nice, and even informed us about the ongoing festival if we wanted to go there.

The hotel has its own parking garage , and the staff parks your car, free of charge. Although, you will have to pay for the parking lot. There is a restaurant on the hotel, and a pool with views towards the bridge. From the breakfast table, you'll also see the same view of the bridge. The hotel is near everything you'll want to see. I will most definitely be staying there again l! I am looking forward to coming back to this magical place!

(My boyfriend proposed to me in the hotelroom we had. It was really special to have the breathtaking gorgeous view of the bridge from the balcony)💕

We were hoping to dine in a friendly and cozy setting, what a disappointment this hotel's restaurant was! The dishes provided do not correspond to the order. My husband ordered a portion of suckling pig with truffle puree which ended up with a potato drowned in the sauce, not even peeled. My dish was very ordinary. Exorbitant prices. In January, the gas heating on the terrace broke down. The waiters walked by without restarting it. They ended up doing it at our request much to the disruption of the dinner. Despite everything, a powerful current of air continued to chill us. When we left, we realized that the cook had been taking out her trash for half an hour, leaving the hotel door wide open, which was causing a draft in the restaurant room. Absolute horror. Go your way.

Loved this hotel!! The view was absolutely breathtaking from our beautiful room. We had the Marbella Suite, it was very large, so nicely decorated and had a super comfy bed. Angela at the front desk could not have been more helpful or welcoming, she is a lovely person. The parking for dropping off luggage was a little difficult as the road is on a very steep slope so hard to back out of in a standard and if you keep going forward you enter a zone that is not open to non locals. The parking lot that the hotel directs you to is easy to access and only a very short ( and scenic ) walk through a pretty little park to get to. There is a lovely little store just down the street from the hotel that sells the most unique ceramic bowls with metal decoration around the rim. The bridge is a 1 minute walk at most from the hotel and just across the bridge are all the restaurants you could hope to chose from. We went to Il Forno a Legna on Calle Nueva, absolutely delicious meal and wonderful Sangria!! Wish we had stayed longer than 2 nights as Ronda is such a picturesque town with lots of shopping, restaurants and truly amazing views! If you get a chance make a day trip to Cueva de la Pileta to see the cave drawings. It's only a 30 minute scenic drive and well worth the 10 euro admission, an experience I will not soon forget. Hotel Montelirio is a wonderful choice in Ronda and we would most definitely stay here again!

The hotel bears the mark of having crossed the line from "charming" to "old and worn", unfortunately. Was here 7 years ago, and everything is at the same standard as then. The same room (which is of course completely inside), with peeling paint in the bathroom and a hatch in the wall that hangs at half past twelve as in 2016. The restaurant in the hotel no longer has any stars in the world of Michelin, and we can understand that. Booking a table in good time will not be taken into account. Information about celiac disease and gluten-free food is also not taken into account, which should be in place when tables are booked together with rooms several months in advance. We as guests experience not being seen in the same way as before, BUT the food is good! Only one option for dessert for celiacs, and that is fresh fruit. Here, the person responsible for the restaurant should come up with something more creative and exciting. It is not worthy of a top tier restaurant. No, the hotel restaurant at Montelirio has become of a different, inferior class. Plus for pool and serving refreshments by the pool.

Great location for walking around Ronda, and the view from the public areas (and a number of rooms) is classic of the gorge. Staff friendly, room comfortable and spaceous if a little dated and a great breakfast: food choices and view. Would happily recommend

We upgraded our room to a balcony with a view and we were not disappointed. Wow! What a view I don’t think I’ll ever tire of looking at it. The room is compact but has everything you need and a very comfortable bed. We also booked the valet parking which was a little confusing because when the receptionist instructed us to park at 16 we didn’t realise it was to park outside the house with a number 16 on it. But it worked out and was well worth it. We ate room service in the room as we were not feeling well and it was delicious. We got to choose from the restaurant menu so we didn’t miss out. All in all a great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.

We stayed in one of the top floor rooms which had a four poster bed and was decked out in an almost medieval theme. There was also an excellent view from the shower! The staff were great and helped us with parking in their garage just down the street and were very helpful on check-in. See seperate review on the restaurant.

Good afternoon, In our Junior suites we can put 1 sofa-bed, 1 extra bed and 1 cot. The extra fee is 33€ per person and night from 4years old. All our rooms are very confortable but the junior suite is the bigest one in our hotel and ideal for a family. Best regards,

Answer from Travelling_Axe

They do have a garage within about 100m. They will park your car for you and when you need it you can accompany them to the garage to retrieve your car. Leave your car at the beginning of the first street to the right after the new bridge (they have a marked temporary parking zone there) and give the keys to the reception.
