This hotel reminds us of historic B&Bs. It has a lot of interesting details and charm. Our room was spacious and comfortable and the bathroom featured lovely blue tile. Due to the age of the house, it can be noisy. Someone smoked in the courtyard and the smoke entered our window above it. You can include breakfast for 5 euros...

I was completely charmed by this hotel. Beautiful building full of character, comfortable beds in large rooms, perfectly clean. The staff were all gracious and friendly and very helpful, and gave us lots of dinner recommendations and advice. The breakfast is just 5 euros and is the same sort of thing you would get in town for around the same...

This was our favorite hotel during our two week trip in Spain. It is a small hotel with about 20 rooms, located in Old Town, conveniently near the new bridge, the Arab Baths, a number of tapas restaurants, and churches. Our room was lovely. The bed was extremely comfortable, and we were lucky to have a large Jacuzzi tub in...

The experience of staying in the Hotel San Gabriel is one of being a guest in a fine old home, built around two or three courtyards, cozy and luxurious without being stuffy. This was our third stay here over several years, and I'd recommend taking one of the suites, especially the honeymoon suite, which is like a luxurious four room...

Lovely old Spanish noble house converted into a lovely hotel. Terra cotta tile floors, heavy wooden window shutters, lovely courtyard, beautiful wooden staircase, elegant breakfast room and reception area for enjoying a drink. Comfortable beds, good size bathroom, mini-fridge, wall mounted flat screen TV, all the conveniences. Easy walk to the heart of Ronda attractions (#1 the bridge over the...

Highly recommended! Very oldie worldie. Car parking was included in our deal and is a short walk away. Enter Rhonda from the south is easier and you can leave the car outside the hotel while you check in and then park it. We booked the honeymoon suite and it was huge. When you open the suite door you are in...

We have been traveling all over Spain, and this is the nicest hotel we have stayed in so far, especially in our budget of 80-100 euros/night. The rooms are beautifully appointed and include thoughtful touches like a fuse box hidden behind a painting so as not to disturb the ambiance. Our room had a HUGE tub too, with a wedge-shaped...

A more delightful hotel would be hard to imagine. It is situated in the heart of the old town, yet discounted secure parking is only a couple of minutes’ walk away. (Bags can be dropped off at the hotel door prior to parking). From the entrance door onwards the building exudes an air of timeless class and elegance, restored in...

We stayed at Hotel San Gabriel for 2 nights on our vacation through Andalucia and were very pleased with the hotel. The hotel is located in a narrow side street in the Moorish quarter where we unloaded bags and were given good instructions to the off-site parking (included in our room rate). It was a short walk through quaint old...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
This carefully restored building dates from the 18th century and lies in the most historic district of Ronda, surrounded by ancient monuments.Retaining much of its original charm, the San Gabriel still displays an attractive stone façade and the coat of arms of one of its former owners. Spend a quiet moment in the library corner or in the typically Andalusian courtyard, full of plants and a trickling fountain. Here you can start the day with the hotel’s delicious breakfast. You can also enjoy a film in the intimate cinema room, which includes red velvet seats taken from the city’s old cinema. Combined with its privileged location, the hotel facilities make this a truly authentic Spanish setting for your holiday in rural Andalusia. ... more   less
