If this rating was just on the building, it would be 6*. Beautiful, sympathetic restoration (assumed) of an old property. The central stairwell is magnificent.

We spent two nights in room 22. Large comfortable room. Massive bathroom with jacuzzi bath. Staff all very helpful. As we checked in Pedro took the time to outline all the sites we should visit in a map which became our Bible.

Why not 5*?

Three things:

The shower over the jacuzzi bath (which looked like it was unlikely to work) didn't reach sufficiently far or to enable me to stand under it due to the slope of the bath sides. Either replace the bath with a walk-in shower or stick a rain shower in which protrudes over the bath.

The WiFi was terrible. Sound 5 connection to the access point but clearly their capacity can't support the guests. The good news is that the phone signal was fine and I was able to hotspot my phone for our WiFi needs.

We had breakfast on one day. Fairly chaotic. Small room tightly packed. Small buffet. Not clear on the egg situation as the lady suddenly appeared with platers of scrambled egg.

As we checked out the lady on reception gave us a €4 rebate on the breakfast to apologise for the poor wifi. A nice gesture.

Despite above. Strongly recommended.

The structure is housed in an ancient noble palace in the historic center, and it shows: the room, very spacious and full of furnishings and light points, is very welcoming, to be enjoyed for more than a single night, as we did instead. The bathtub was gigantic and equipped with hydromassage. The gem of the mini cinema on the ground floor with the red seats obtained from the old theater is remarkable. The staff is very kind and extremely helpful, and offers a discounted rate for the nearest car park.
Having said all this, the cleanliness of the room really disappointed us, and it's a real shame, with such an elegant room! we found hair (a lot) in the bathroom and in the bathtub, and also on the terracotta floor of the room. The bathtub had a very very slow drain. Even the breakfast (on shifts) left a little to be desired, at nine in the morning they already no longer had croissants (which I imagine would arrive for the next shift).

Beautiful hotel, super well decorated, great location, receptionists very friendly and helpful. There's a movie room that's a charm. There's a vacancy ahead for loading and unloading, but nearby parking is paid and free is far away.
Room gave to an inner courtyard from where came a noise of the engine, discreet but that impaired the first night of sleep, then I used to it. Wall between the bedroom and the bathroom with infiltration, also damaged a little because I am allergic. They offered another room that also had moisture. Breakfast was served by a single employee, who couldn't cook, refuel the food and wash the dishes properly. We had to keep looking for a dish that was clean on the other tables, and we didn't always find it. There is a parking space for the car ahead for loading and unloading, but nearby parking is paid and free is far away.

Hotel in an 18th century building, located in the historic center of Ronda, a stone's throw from all the main attractions and the famous Ponte Nuevo, also of 18th century origin.
Suggestive location, typical Andalusian architecture, stylish furnishings, photographs of artists and references to the cinematography of the 1930s - 1950s, including a very small screening room with vintage cinema seats.
Excellent hotel, recommended for visiting the city. Good breakfast.
(there is no parking, but it doesn't matter, because Ronda is made for walking...)

Pros: Gorgeous building by the bridge. Helpful staff.

Cons: As the building is old, there is no sound proofing. You hear all the noise from the hall, other rooms, and outside. The mattress is terrible. It squeaks when you sit on it, lay on it, roll over etc. It’s like a 30 year old mattress your grandmother would have in her guest bedroom. I’m shocked that a hotel would put this terrible of a mattress in a room. The mattress needs to be replaced as it clearly should have been thrown out years ago. No outlet near the bed for your phone or a white noise machine. No shelving in the shower for your toiletries. The lighting is terrible; small, fluorescent wall lamps that shoot light up. The bulbs should be switched to warm light and the room needs to be better lit. Having to use a physical key to lock door both from inside and outside as well as a physical key to access safe that in awkwardly arranged in a dark closet that doesn’t have room for full length dresses. The room is not pleasant to be in or sleep in and I would not recommend staying here.

We stayed for three nights. The hotel is in a superb location and the staff is experienced friendly and helpful. The biggest issues were that the bathroom had a horrible odor coming from the drain and the two sitting chairs were utterly worn out, one of them totally sprung and other’s fabric worn through to the frame. We stopped up all the bath drains which helped to reduce the odor but it was still very annoying. The bath had no ventilation at all. The breakfast spread not large but adequate however the room was quite small. Reservations are required but apparently guests ignore this commitment. The coffee machine was not working well during our visit. The cappuccinos were actually watery hot chocolate. A staff member did immediately replace one or chairs and prepare a remote breakfast table for us, which was greatly appreciated. If we had a different room than Room 12 maybe it would have been a better story.

The hotel is in a historic building from 1700. It certainly had better times as a tourist accommodation, given the plaques at the entrance: now the environment seems tired and ruined in all its spaces; it has little original, but many cheap paintings, fake plants or , if it lives, poorly cared for. Mirrors are not very clean. We were in small room 21 (paid like the huge 18!) with even smaller bathroom. Details need to be taken care of more, such as the exposed limestone or the lack of hanging or the absence of the intake fan in the blind bathroom. The temperature of hot water, often cold and low pressure, as well as double shampoo and no soap in the shower, is unacceptable. Good breakfast, but expected better. I do not recommend.

It's complicated to write this. I've never had such a negative review of a hotel. And yet, never so positive from the guy who handled the front desk. Kai is fantastic. A man who knows how to treat customers.

Let's go to the bad. It's surprising you're woken up by a drill at nine. A huge drill. With hammer to break bricks. Almost at the same time, the person cleaning the room, who had entered our children’s room without permission at eight-thirty in the morning (as if at eight-thirty two boys of 14 and 15 were not sleeping) told me how I could not make the room at that time. We didn't put up the sign. Terrible mistake.

According to her, I did not have to know if we stayed several days (and yes, we stayed) and, therefore, my obligation was to signal if I was inside. One has the right to be in a rented space without being required to sign. I guess that's what the hotel has.

In no hotel in the world, and I have been in many, I have been required to put up the sign before bed. That, struggling with the noise of the drill. We couldn't hear each other.

At night you forget the morning headache. I assure you that two hours of drilling and hammering are hardly forgotten. At eleven o’clock at night, I know it’s late, they wouldn’t let us finish watching the noisy “Casablanca” in a private cinema, Humphrey’s, in case we disturbed guests.

Just one silly thing... the sound level of the works in our room would have far exceeded the works of the Bernabeu. I think the septum almost fell.

Except for Kai and a nice guy who helped me with Casablanca for a while I can’t say anything positive. Nor do I think it is a particularly comfortable place. I had to give more than I got.

As all that has happened, I put the Minimum Rating. And I'd put even less.

The hotel is located in the central area and has a parking available 300 meters at a discounted rate. The atmosphere is truly unique, fascinating and tastes of times gone by. The really surprising thing is the affability of the two girls at reception, Isabel and Maria who do everything to make the guest feel at home. Absolutely to recommend. Excellent value for money.

Lovely hotel in a quiet neighborhood in the old town area of Ronda. Most of the popular attractions in Ronda are no more than a 10 minute walk from the hotel. We arrived early in the day via train and staff was able to hold our bags until check-in. Staff was very friendly. The walk from the train station was easy, about 20-25 minutes.

The hotel has modest amenities, with only breakfast onsite. But there are plenty of restaurants and cafes a short walk away. Our room was a nice size, although the air con was a little less frosty than other hotels we stayed in during our trip. But it was still ok despite the unseasonable heat. We would recommend this hotel if you're looking for a quieter, but convenient, location in Ronda and do not want/need views of the bridge and countryside.
