Hotel a show all super well! The soundproof rooms do not hear a noise the rooms and bathroom and shower a 10 !! The worst thing is when you want to go up to the 4 floor where there is the terrace overlooking the Bullring q you have to wait for a tremendous queue one 1h had to have preference the hotel people do not q arrive street people and friends of the waiters arrive and do not even queue them pass the pull that is very bad because q people are waiting and you are and q the hotel people q pay a paste to stay and have to wait a 1 queue for q then the drinks are very expensive is a pass q charge you the drink on the one hand and the soft drink on the other is an abuse q do it to people outside but not the people q are staying!! Otherwise a whole 10 and the spa and massages a 10 I advise everything except the terrace q q had to see for their customers staying not by the street people and friends of waiters q with all their nose look for them quickly a table and do not expect queue or anything and then if you say something to the staff q is taking it hard if you want well and if not it is what q there and it is not so!! Or a few hours for street people and other hours for hotel people!! That's a total 0!!

Great location as it is right at the intersection of the main shopping street (Nueves) with tons of shops and restaurants, the street to the bridge (about a five minute walk), and bullring (across the street).

We stayed in a junior suite facing the bullring. Room was spacious, new, and had high ceilings with small balconies facing the bullring and shopping street. Room was quiet and had minimal noise even though we were facing the main street.

Nice touch was the large bottled water, free drink ticket provided for Catalonia hotel members, and free chocolates, so definitely become a member when booking this hotel.

4th floor has a bar with nice views of the countryside.

To unload your car when checking in, park across the street in the spaces in the bullring. You are allowed to park for a short time to check in. They will move your car to the garage for you. Parking is 16 euros a night.

This hotel was recommended to me by a friend and I, in turn, will be telling everyone I know about it. On our recent holiday in Spain we stayed in three hotels, this was by far the best (and the cheapest too!)
We stayed in a junior suite and it was definitely worth the extra spend. It had everything you could ask for and more, designed in a thoughtful and intelligent way. Our bed was extremely comfortable, with top quality linens and a choice of pillows,. We asked for a quiet room and were facing onto a side street. Excellent soundproofing meant that we slept like logs. The bathroom was especially well laid out with a separate loo, separate shower room and main bathroom. Lots of room for cosmetics and toiletries too. Breakfast each morning was a delight with everything you could wish for and more besides. Prior to travelling, we booked a transfer from the hotel to Malaga airport and David on reception ensured that everything worked smoothly. This hotel is an example of how good hospitality should work, it ticks every box that the discerning traveller could have. I look forward to returning.

We had the most amazing experience from start to finish during our stay. We travelled to Ronda for a weekend and intended to stay for one night. Unfortunately on the way our car broke down and we had to get a taxi to the hotel to finish the journey.

On arrival, after a very stressful day for us and our 8 year old little girl, a member of staff named Juan Diego greeted us. He saw we were a little stressed and asked if we were ok. After explaining to him what had happened he helped us so much. He called local garages to try and arrange for our car to be taken to, he helped arrange two additional nights stay at the hotel for us and on the day we left he arranged a taxi for us to where our hire car was to be collected after our car insurance failed to do so. He even took all of our luggage to the taxi before we even knew it.

Juan was amazing to us during our stay and took so much stress away from us. The last time we experienced customer service like this was in Dubai. Juan, thank you so much for everything you did for us. You helped turn a stressful situation into a very enjoyable one. You are a real asset to the hotel!

In terms of the hotel itself it was perfect. The location couldn’t have been better with stunning views of the mountains and especially the bull ring. The pool was beautiful and a great way to relax after exploring. The service and the staff at the bar were also great. Everyone at the hotel was.

The rooms were really nice, modern and well proportioned. For the standard and location of the hotel I thought the pricing of the room represented amazing value for money.

What started off a nightmare for us ended up in the most amazing few days and a trip we will never forget for all the right reasons. Ronda is one of the most beautiful places we have ever been and we will be back again very soon. When we do we will definitely be choosing the hotel again.

Thank you to everyone at the hotel and huge thank you again to Juan!

Elegant and excellent hotel located right in front of the Plaza de Toros, close to the famous bridge.

Our room on the third floor had a spectacular view of the inside of the facility where the bullfights take place. And the sunset over the arena is beautiful to see.

The hotel is located in the premises that once housed a bank (which is still active in the building next door), therefore the spaces in the reception and also the entrance hall are rather narrow.

No problems, however, everything works.

On the fourth floor there is a fitness area, bar and panoramic restaurant (whose menu is truly excellent and deserves a separate review) with a view of the bullring, on the fifth and last floor there is a swimming pool and panoramic terrace.

Large, spacious, functional room with everything you need, the bathroom is in proportion, with tub and shower.

Perfect sleep quality, impeccable cleanliness, in our two-night stay.

As mentioned, it is located where there was a bank, so it does not have underground parking.

However, the hotel has an agreement with parking (for a fee) located 100 meters away.

Beautiful hotel right in the heart of beautiful Ronda. The hotel is opposite the bullring and on the corner of the pedestrian street. It’s a short few minutes walk to the new bridge. The staff are exceptional and we were treated way above expectations. We were in the junior suite which was a large room (for European standards) and was given champagne, fruit platter & chocolates on arrival. A lovely touch. Our room was immaculately clean, shower was elite like a steam room with lovely amenities. Our room was pretty quiet despite being on a busy corner. A few street lights were a little annoying but that was our biggest issue. We had a car and parking is available at a public car park a few hundred meters up the road. You can stop at the bullring to unload your baggage. The rooftop bar on the 4th floor was one of the best I’ve been to, giving a birds eye view over the oldest bullring in town. There is also amazing views of the mountains and is the best place in town to have a vino or 2 ! Highly recommend to anyone visiting Ronda.

I really liked the location as it was close to Ronda's famous Pont Nuevo and right in front of the historic bullfighting arena. Upon check-in, the reception staff were very friendly and made a lot of effort to help us as we were not very familiar with English. And the hotel porter guided us to the room, carried our luggage, and kindly gave us information about the facilities in the room. He was very kind and helped us when we requested to store our luggage for sightseeing after check-out. Gifts such as welcome chocolates also appealed to children. The room facilities were very clean and I was able to rest comfortably. Although there is no private parking lot, we were directed to a nearby public parking lot and were told that valet service was also available in case we want. Another advantage is that the top floor cafe overlooks the bullfighting arena. Overall, I loved everything I experienced during my stay. It's best!

We had a great stay at Hotel Catalonia.
The location is perfect - within walking distance to everything you want to see in Ronda. Even though its centrally located, you do not hear the street sounds in the room - the window insulation is perfect!
The view from the bar, breakfast room and pool are fantastic.
The staff is very friendly and very helpful.
The rooms are clean and well-appointed and the bathroom large.
The beds are comfy too.
The hotel receives a huge bonus point from me because each room has an iron and an ironing board which is so welcome after traveling with a tightly packed suitcase.

Staying in this wonderful hotel saved us from getting depressed by the SS rain. Although it does not have parking, you can leave it at a good price in the nearby Merced parking lot. The location is splendid, from the breakfast room you see the entire bullring. The perfect room (the price for a triple with breakfast is about €250). The perfect breakfast, you couldn't ask for more and also very well attended and without fuss. I also liked the bar on the top floor where you can have a light lunch (we had chops and hamburgers) or snack, with a 10% discount if you are a client of the hotel chain. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that they didn't warn that the spa is only for people over 18 years old.

Spent 2 nights in this wonderful hotel. Staff excellent & hotel beautiful. We had a superior room which was very spacious. Comfiest, huge bed to enjoy a great nights sleep. The bathroom was modern & really lovely decor. You can’t beat the location. Rooftop pool & bar offers views over the bullring & Ronda. Very easy arrival. Parking available on other side of road to let you unload your car. The hotel has an arrangement with garage on same street where you can park for 16 euros per day. Valet service provided. Well worth a visit.

We also had a car. You can park for 15 min free facing the hotel to unload and then drive a min to a public parking and recieve a discount from the hotel. I don’t remember how much it cost but not outrageous

Hi, we arrive at Malaga airport at 18.30 on 17th March. What is the best way to get to Ronda without hiring a car?
Answer from solo70
Mijas, Spain69 contributions73 helpful votes
It would not be easy! You would have to take a taxi into the city and then take (probably two) trains Option 1: The AVE (high speed) to Cordoba and change platforms for the Seville train, provided it stops at Ronda. In the spring, I'm not sure if it does. Option 2, from Malaga city take a train to Antquera and change to the Ronda train. You must look up the railways (renfe) website for timetables. Why don't you hire a car? With a car it's an easy drive by motorway along the coast to San Pedro then up the hills to Ronda on a well-surfaced road. Suggestion, at 18.30, I'd spend the night in a nice hotel near the airport (example The Parador de Golf) and go by trains or car next day. (I can't tell you anything about bus travel. Personally I wouldn't contemplate it.)

In our case, breakfast was included in the room rate, so I can't tell how much they charge for it separately. In any event, it was really excellent, with lots of choice, all fresh and tempting, and great coffee.

Bus is the easiest and cheapest (and with beautiful views!) to travel from Malaga to Ronda. We took a bus from Ronda to Malaga at 12 o'clock and it arrived 15 minutes earlier than it was at schedule. It costs 11€ and took 1 hour and 30 minutes.
