Spent 3 days at Kairali with my mom on their Rejuvenation Package. The experience was wonderful! The village is well laid out where each cottage feels private with a stream running right in front.
The care taken to maintain the property is evident in how clean and well maintained it is and the number of staff you see walking around cleaning and picking up.
Each and every person of the staff we met, and there were many, were pleasant and went out of the way to be helpful.
Our treatment part of the visit started with a consultation with Dr. Accamma Chandy who was very patient and knowledgeable and followed up with us each day before and after treatments and gave us a detailed individualized plan at the end of our time.
The massage therapists were, likewise, responsive to our needs, with special mention to Usha, Renuka, Chitra and Sumitra.
The food was delicious and the canteen staff were again excellent, especially Hari and Mahesh, always willing to go the extra mile to make sure the guests were taken care of.
We enjoyed starting the day with yoga and ending it with meditation in the meditation center.

We hope to go back for a longer stay in the future.

My husband and I went to Kairali Ayurvedic Health Village in Palakkad, India for 3weeks in June 2022 and had the most amazing ayurvedic experience.
All the staff from the reception area, the doctor Dr Priya, the multiple therapist, the waiters to the cook were
extremely courteas, cheerful, polite and most of all helpful. A special thanks goes to Mr Anoop(GM) who was always willing to reach a hand out to help us with our requests.
We came away from Kairali telling ourselves we will be making another trip back to Kerala just for the benefit we received for having done our treatment at Kairali
The greenery, pollution free environment, the yoga and meditation classes were a bonus.
Thank you very much to all of you for the rejuvenation of our health as we came away feeling years younger and healthier!!!

I visited kairali for issues related to my back and weight management.

Positives: Dr Deepu curated my treatment basis my condition and demonstrated great care. The therapists there were very professional and experienced. The program including diet, exercise and therapy helped me drop over 6 kgs in weight over a two week period. Even though this is a hospital, the resort like ambience is great for a long stay.

What could improve: While the diet is curated for weight loss, the food can be made a bit more tastier. Also, the cost of the treatment for long durations mat be unaffordable for some. I wish the cost could be brought down for more people to benefit from this.

I spent 28 days in the clinic, without a doubt my body became stronger and digestion improved within that time.

There are plenty of positives to mention… the location, the care given to keep up the beauty of the location, many of the staff… including the service, therapy, housekeeping & gardening staff…

As the Indian saying goes:
Atithi Devo Bhava, A guest is akin to God.

And as the English saying goes:
You can’t polish a turd but you can roll it in glitter. Kairali has glitter in abundance!

This leads me onto the negatives which essentially undermine the positives…

The head office in Dehli run the show, no decisions are made on a local level. Management at Kairali is essentially non existent which raises the question… why bother with a team locally when they are given no authority.

The set up is dictatorial and dependent of protocol defined by a head office more than a thousand miles away. This affects decision making on all levels.

Control is a big thing too, control of staff and customers is similar.

Staff are not embraced in the „healing aspect“ which is what Kairali claims to embody. What becomes quite evident if you take the time to observe the goings on, is definitely management by fear.

Management dictate that no tips are to be given individually, instead the guest is instructed to put them in one of three tip boxes with no possibility to record how much was given. This system lacks transparency & left many guests undecided on how to tip.

Staff refused tips because of fear of losing their jobs!

Obviously it is lost on management that the guests form personal relationships with certain members of the staff & therefore want to „thank“ them by offering a tip.

The current system rewards everyone regardless of effort. It reminds me of communism.

In an environment of supposed healing one should practice what one preaches. When the dietitian is the most overweight person there, it’s hard to take dietary advice seriously.

My intention was to gain weight but lost 3kg by the end of my stay, only to be told that everyone loses weight.

The love of money will eventually ruin Kairali which will be a real shame as it has such potential but not with the current management style or culture in place.

I arrived 5 days late due to visa issues & my stay was automatically extended. On check out I was told to pay €765 for the no show.

I refused to pay as this is a conversation which needed to be had on arrival not on departure.

I won’t be back as superficiality doesn’t work for me.

Not everything that glitters is gold especially if you scratch the surface.

Dear Mr. Lucien, First and foremost, thank you sincerely for taking the time to share your detailed feedback regarding your recent stay at Kairali. We truly appreciate your positive comments about our beautiful location, the dedication of our staff across all departments, and the care we take to maintain our environment. Your recognition of these aspects fills us with pride and motivates us further. We understand that not every experience can meet expectations, and it's clear from your feedback that there are areas where we need to reflect and improve. Your candidness provides us with invaluable insights, and we are grateful for the opportunity to address and learn from your concerns. *On Decision-Making and Management:* We hear your concerns regarding the centralized decision-making process and recognize the frustration it may cause. We're committed to reviewing our management structure to better empower our local team, ensuring they have the autonomy to make decisions that directly benefit our guests and enhance the healing journey. *Regarding the Tipping Policy:* Our intention behind a collective tipping system is to acknowledge every team member's contribution, including those who work tirelessly behind the scenes. However, we understand your points about personal relationships and transparency. We're taking steps to refine our approach, ensuring it respects our guests' wishes to show appreciation directly while still honoring the collective effort of our team. Your feedback is instrumental in this process, and we assure you of our commitment to fairness and transparency. *Dietary Guidance:* We believe in a holistic approach to health and well-being, where our professionals, regardless of their personal challenges, are dedicated to providing the best possible care and advice. We will reflect on your feedback to ensure our team's presentation and approach in all aspects are aligned with our guests' expectations and our healing ethos. *Reservation and Billing Concerns:* We apologize for any confusion regarding the charges for the extended stay due to visa issues. Our policies are designed to manage reservations efficiently, but we recognize the importance of clear communication, especially in unique situations like yours. We're reviewing our procedures to ensure future guests are fully informed and such matters are handled with the sensitivity and clarity they deserve. At Kairali, we embrace the mantra "Atithi Devo Bhava" — treating guests with the reverence we would accord to God. We're committed to embodying this principle in every aspect of our service. Your experience and feedback have highlighted areas where we can strengthen our practice of this belief. We invite you to reach out directly to us at gm.hv@kairali.com to discuss any further suggestions or concerns, or even to let us show you the improvements we're making. Thank you once again for your feedback. It is guests like you who push us to do better, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future to experience the positive changes your insights have helped us make. Warmest regards

From the moment I arrived to the moment I Left my 2 week experience was absolutely wonderful, magical in fact. The place in such an amazing setting that you feel at peace instantly. The villa I was allocated was beautiful.
I was under Dr Sali who was very professional and checked in on me daily. She sent me away with medicines to continue (optional to buy and very reasonably priced)
The massages were amazing from the head massage to the face massage then the full body treatment. I left every treatment feeling great. The main therapists that worked with me were Shreeja and Chitra, lovely ladies that put me at ease straightaway and always had a smile on their faces.
The facilities throughout are very clean.
There was no pressure to tip, in fact tipping was encouraged to be placed in a box and shared equally which is a much better idea and I did in fact leave tips for both therapists and the restaurant staff.
The restaurant serves delicious food that is made fresh daily, nothing is refrigerated and that is evident in the taste of the food. The staff were always friendly and helpful answering the numerous questions we were asking about ingredients etc.
Cooking classes take place twice a week and I managed to learn some recipes that I plan on making once I return to the UK.
Sunil the yoga teacher was very friendly and I loved the morning yoga, yoga nindra at lunchtime and the evening meditation.
I left feeling refreshed and invigorated and hoping to have the opportunity to visit again next year.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff have been fantastic. The restaurant staff were always so attentive and quick in serving food. Had very pleasant conversations with Hari Krishan who in particular looked after us well and made sure we had a nice packed lunch when we ventured out.Rajesh, Biju and Dibesh were all excellent too. Always smiling and ready to explain about the food.
All the Dr’s (special shout out to Dr Krishnapriya) treatment staff were courteous but would be nice if they could speak a little bit more English to improve communication. The front desk were really helpful in providing extra services as I needed a letter couriered. It was very thoughtful of the front desk to check if we had eaten dinner before they shut the kitchen in the day we went out. Really personable touch.
Great place to come to but bring a book or two with you and maybe download something to watch as you have lots of spare time.

We visited the KAHV in March for detoxification and rejuvenation. We stayed there for one week. We are feeling so relaxed for the fine time that we had there. We were a bit worried about the kids not enjoying, but they had a great time and enjoyed the place, the nature around them as well as the food. It was all vegetarian food, and the F&B people strived to accommodate all of our diets. I would really like to give a big round of applause to Hari, Biju, Deepthish, Manoj, Rajesh, and Mahesh for all their superb service and dedication. Thank you all so much for making our stay memorable.

Kairali is a unique place, hospitality is heartwarming. Took a 5 day detox package and the space is very positive, quality of food is world class, the treatments made a difference with improved metabolism, yoga classes early in the day are a perfect start. Dr Deepu and other staff, genuinely care for individual well-being and do what it takes to keep us on right track. Took Kairali cab both ways and drivers are great, gave helpful tips about the town and surrounding areas and dropped me on time. Highly recommended for a good reset for your body and mind. The entire day routine is designed to bring back balance.

Hi.. You can speak to the Resort guys and they will be happy to get this done. Though it's not a child centric place still you have Swimming Pool and vast natural surroundings to be in. a Also i have seen children take great interest in Yoga and meditation as they are curious to know about new things. You can try getting them.involved in such activities too. Also they can go for a round in their Herb and kitchen garden which will enhance their knowledge. All the best and I am sure you will love this place.
