This has got to be the very best accommodation for price that you will find in RA. The fact that it’s booked out for months is testimony to this. From the minute you arrive you are cared for and provided with the most incredible accommodation and food (all included in the price).
Coffee, tea, fruit etc all day long. Andy the English owner has great attention to detail. Everything is spotless.
And it’s worth noting that you have proper flushing toilets, absolutely fresh ( not brackish) water and great wifi and all day and night electricity. We take this for granted at home but in RA it’s only to be had in the best places. Plus daily housekeeping.
The food is so good and healthy. You eat with everyone which is a plus. Beer and soft drinks can be bought. Bring your own wine or spirits and you can keep them cool (possibly) for a price. We just brought spirits and our own ice tray.
After dinner Esni, Andy’s fluent English speaking wonder woman will sort out your trips for the next day and anything else you need done. She accompanies you on your snorkeling trips and knows so much about the underwater life.
Every homestay/resort needs an Esni!

The snorkeling on the wharf is absolutely wonderful.
And you can also walk to the local village. (They appreciate gifts of old reading glasses, sunglasses, fishing hooks, footballs, colouring pencils).
This place has it all!
Make sure you buy a t shirt!

We were planning to stay 3 nights in the overwater villa but Lion Air delayed our flight by 24h and we only had a short but memorable two night stay.

Andy assisted us with arranging a driver and permits. (Request an e-mail address to simplify communication.)

Upon arrival at the ferry terminal Esni met us and soon we were on our way. Poncho's and water was available on the boat and our luggage was covered with a waterproof sheet. Nice.

When we arrived at Nyande we could immediately see the thought that went into the design of the place. It is a labour of love.

We had great food at the expensive resort where we spent the rest of our time in Raja Ampat. Despite this I have to say that the food at Nyande had better flavour and they even sourced some Coke Zero for me!

The room itself was light, airy and clean. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The views are stunning and the wifi works if that's important to you. We saw a turtle feeding at our villa while we were enjoying our morning coffee - priceless.

My husband had a fall the first night since a step to the reef was missing a plank. It was attended to the very next day!

We joined Esni on a snorkel trip and it was outstanding!! The most fun day of our 9 day Raja Ampat trip. She is a gem!

We only had one morning to explore the house reef. It was great but unfortunately the currents brought some rubbish.

We met some really wonderful people while staying at Nyande. It was truly special to enjoy the spectacular sunset on the pier with nice people. A BIG thank you to Gavin and Claudine - your parting gifts served us well.

I can say with certainty that we will try to stay at Nyande again if we return to Raja Ampat.

We stayed at the Nyande from 3rd-10th of July. What can I say… this was such a wonderful experience… the location, the bungalow over water, the food, the house reef… Everything just perfect!

But the most important thing: the people there… Andy, Esni, the whole crew… freemimded… caring… open… they really give u the feeling and space to let all the things behind u from where u came from. Just holidays. Wonderful…. We Never visit a place 2 times on this earth… but for the Nyande we will make an exeption.

U won’t find a better Place in Raja Ampat… believe me.

Andy, the hotel operator, almost got myself, another guest, and 3 employees killed through his reckless behavior. There is an hour long boat transfer from the ferry at Waisai, for which he sends a tiny single engine boat, without life jackets. Under the best of conditions this is slightly risky, but Andy doesn't check weather conditions for the boat transfers, so you may very well end up in extremely dangerous conditions like I did. The day I was transferring back to the ferry, halfway to the ferry, we hit swells the size of the boat, with waves fully crashing over the boat. The boat sides touched the water and nearly capsized three times (without life jackets on board!) Thank god for the amazing boat men who incredibly skillfully led us through a terrifying and terrifically dangerous situation. I owe my life to those men! I'm still shocked and appalled Andy didn't bother to check the weather or put in any level of safety precaution, and clearly has no regard whatsoever for guest or employee lives. To add insult to injury, it turns out the ferry we were on our way to catch, didn't even exist that day. I had confirmed my travel schedule with Andy before booking, which he clearly didn't bother to verify either, so I ended up having to pay $600 to book a new last-minute plane ticket, a last minute hotel room, and no-show fees on the flight I missed. Andy is a deeply unserious man and you would be wise to not trust him with anything you take seriously, like your time, money, or life itself.

Nyande homestay targets visitors that want more confort than the average homestay, but do not want to spend a small fortune on a stay in a resort. And I must say, they absolutely deliver..From the exelent food served in a very nice dining area overlooking thr ocean and stunning over-water bungalows, to the amount of effort put in designing and maintaining the homestay.. Very well maintained with clean toilet and shower units. Each bungalows has his own toilet/shower unit..We stayed in the over-water bungalows, again very good build quality and eye for detail..24/7 electricity, deliverd by solar panels and batteries. They even have wireless charging and usb ports next to the bed !! The view from you bed is stunning, and the walls are designed so that you can open them and have a wonderfull suset/rise..depending in wich of the 2 bungalows you are staying.. The reef has lots of live and is excelent for snorkeling..There are plenty of birds around the terrain.. The staff is super friendly. We enjoyed our stay immensly . Wish we could have stayed longer...

I spent 6 nights at Nyande, 3 of which were in the water bungalow and 3 in the beach bungalow. The Resort is located in a ski paradise, with a beautiful coral reef suitable for snorkelling even from the shore. Compared to Raja Ampat standards, this is luxury accommodation. The water bungalow is really very beautiful and spacious. The only partial drawback is that it has a private shower and toilet but they are not inside the bungalow, so in case of need you have to walk along the stretch of pier that connects them. Nothing that uncomfortable. The beach bungalow has a shower and bathroom shared with a second bungalow of the same type, but the bathrooms are attached to the two bungalows. The beach bungalow is also located above the water but is also directly connected to the mainland. It's a little smaller and wetter. I enjoyed the meals, especially breakfast.
In the period in which I was there (first half of September) snorkeling from the shore was possible in the morning, until around 11am. Then the tide goes out and it is difficult to get back onto the pier. This problem could be easily solved by adding a rung to the ladder (it was there but it broke and was not replaced. Then, in the afternoon, especially in the period in which the tide rises again, the currents are very strong and it can be done snorkeling without problems only for a limited stretch near the pier.
With the accommodation I went on two excursions. The cost is high due to the cost of fuel. So, traveling alone, I had to join other guests. The first excursion to Pianyemo was perfect. Furthermore, it took place in conjunction with the birthday of one of the owners: Andy and it was also joyful. Andy is English and although a reserved person, he is very efficient and friendly. The second excursion was dedicated to snorkeling at various points around Mansuar and Kri. The snorkeling was excellent. However, the day was bad luck for me because, during the journey to the sea, while I was putting on sun cream, I slightly moved one of the 2 arms of my eyeglasses which literally flew off. During this excursion I was also a little perplexed by some of the attitudes of the guide. Probably also because he was nervous about losing his glasses. I once stopped to photograph a fish and never found the guide. I was then "fished out" by the two members of the boat's crew. Another time, as soon as I entered the water, my mask broke (unlucky day) and I had to change it. Again the guide didn't even notice what had happened. Nothing serious, but if I had any serious problems the guide wouldn't even have noticed. From what I understand, the primary task of a guide is to never lose sight of the group. Finally, I was annoyed by the fact that during the second excursion you couldn't smoke on the boat, while you could on the first. They explained to me that the reason was that on the first excursion you could smoke because the boss, Andy, was there.
However, apart from these small inconveniences, I recommend this accommodation and the excursions it organises.

Nyande is a paradise, I could not stop looking around and consider myself immensely lucky to be there. Both rooms and common areas are impeccably maintained, the food is great and the staff friendly and always available. Just dive in and find yourself in an aquarium. I hope to return one day.

Beautiful experience in this homestay, with Bungalow on the water with a nice reef and bathroom every two rooms (really clean and European style with shower, even if cold). Very cozy common dining area that resembles a tree house where breakfast lunch and dinner are served (always good if a bit repetitive) and where you plan after dinner excursions for the following day all together coordinated by the real added value of this place: Esny, a kind and always smiling woman, an excellent Snorkel Guide who shows and explains a lot about the reef and the Ocenano. A really special person. positive experience and to repeat. Boat tours a bit expensive

Due to availability we stayed 3 nights, two in the houses on the sea, which I wouldn't give a 10, they deserve a 12. Incredible views, private access to the reef, bathroom and shower for exclusive use for us, all new and very clean, a luxury !!!. Excellent food and super friendly staff. It is worth booking the excursions with them, Jody is very professional and charming.
We didn't like the night we spent at the shared beach house. There is no privacy on the terrace and in bed you spend the night listening to your neighbor snore. However, you continued enjoying the facilities and this did not stop us from thinking that we were in paradise.

Wonderful place with lush nature and the resort surrounded by greenery. The construction materials are eco-sustainable, with solar panels and attention to the environment. Everything is spotless and furnished with style and sobriety. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are cooked with care and attention to the customer. Water, coffee, tea and fruit always available. Snorkelling equipment and a canoe available. The coral garden can be reached from the shore and, if you calculate the tide flows well, it is easy and unmissable. The overwater bungalow is a fantastic experience, but you also appreciate the ones in the garden attached to the bathrooms (which are outside the rooms). Esni is kind and thoughtful, she can organize excursions and tours for every need. Nearby (half an hour walk) there are two small villages to make contact with the locals. A must if you visit Raja Ampat!
