I visited 36 palms in January and the weather was beautiful. I had a sea view room, which had the most amazing views of the ocean and had the relaxing sound of the waves and the sunsets were breathtaking. The bed was extremely comfy and had a very peaceful night sleep. I was greeted with a very warm welcome and that continued through my stay with all staff members and all very accommodating to anything you needed. Clean wasting eating fresh every day and very reasonable with the restaurant overlooking the sea. I indulged myself in the treatments they offered and was not disappointed. Leela was my therapist and she was very professional and gave an incredible massage. So overall this retreat was 10/10 for me it ticked every box for a solo traveller so much so I am taking my son with me next year as it was like home from home with a luxury touch of TLC Thank you so much to Dori and all the staff as my love for india has been reinforced with my stay at your beautiful retreat. See you next year. Much love Alex 🙏…
36 Palms is unique, it’s traditional and m decorated sympathetically to blend in with nature. The beds are comfortable, air con and hot water all reliable - as is the Wi-Fi! The staff are incredibly helpful and have plenty of tips and advice to offer travellers, and the food services is traditional, delicious and fresh. If you want to kick back, relax, be somewhere quiet to unwind as part of your India trip, then I highly recommend this place. The spa treatments are authentic, value for money and will leave you floating, you can also have private yoga lessons, and the staff can arrange trips for you too.
We had a room with ocean view and private terrace which was absolutely lovely. The rooms are simple but spacious and charming. The pool are and the restaurant were also amazing, to always have the ocean right outside was to us an amazing experience. The food was also really good! Not overly spicy so I guess if you enjoy really spicy food it’s not for you. Breakfast was also delicious! Overall an amazing place well worth a visit
There are only eight rooms in the resort. Two Rooms in the main area of the resort alone is sea facing.. We booked the resort with an intention to stay in the sea facing rooms. We were allotted with the rooms in the heritage wing is not sea facing. The same is like a normal room with a small garden in front. If you climb few steps, you will be able to face the sea.. That area is a private space for these 6 six rooms and dining is provided in that area. Food is ok.. You have only limted choices for dinner. Break fast was also ok.. The break fast is arranged in the main building. There is an infinity pool in the resort. But the resort is not maintained properly. The staffs are friendly. But they don't have any professionalism in their attitude and all. Its not a beach side resort.. You can just sit and view the sea from the restaurant and the dining area of the hotel or from the two sea facing rooms…
Excellent view but nothing much. Worst food. Not worth for more than one night stay. Price is too expensive for the facilities they are providing. Even parking space is less. In walkable distance you will find restaurants for good food
Fabulous property very good ambiance clean and safe very courteous and helpful staff fantastic food good location by the sea see dolphins playing around the rooms are very large and spacious and well furnished with a TV and a refrigerator
They will not give the rooms which they promised while booking. Rooms are like a lodge. For locking the room you will be given a key and lock. Bath tub was stained and it is atleast 15 years old.Even bedsheet was also stained. Not at all worth Rs. 7500. You have many other good choices in Cherai. I will not ever choose this again.
We traveled their last year. We stayed their for couple of days. We chose the antique room with bath tub. The resort was calm and beautiful(outside) but for some reason we were not feeling secured. It looks deserted for us. The room was also not worth the money we paid. There was a column in the middle of the room. There were some sketches on the wall and a wooden cabinet that doesn't made that room antique. And the bathroom was worst, old and stained bath tub, stained mirror, uncleaned flooring and there was no phone. You need to go search for someone if you need anything. About the food, no taste, limited varieties, way too costly. The free breakfast will have 1 or 2 varieties. You cant find any good hotels nearby. The previous night we stayed at Dunes, Cochin, the quality service and the food varieties was no way comparable with this resort. I think I am adding more negative points. There is one more, the pool, not at all clean. Ok now the positive points. The upper deck, the ocean view was pleasing to the eye. If you are lucky you could see dolphins and big fish like baby whales. Dont know exactly what we saw, it was huge. And the infinity pool, apart from uncleanness, the sunset view from the pool was a chilling experience. Overall if the management make some changes to the place it will be the most beautiful stay for the guests.…
This place is the best kept secret on cherai beach. The infinitea pool and the views from the rooms was exiuisite. Spacious and extremely clean rooms.the best part was staff. It was so nice meeting such beautiful soul.
Although stayed in Kochi for business opted for this place because of the proximity to the airport and excellent sea view and was not in a least bit disappointed. The place is thoroughly maintained and well designed. Spacious rooms with all the necessary facilities available, picturesque terrace, clean swimming pool with a nice view. The restaurant is great either, food served is delicious. Loved the premises a lot, great for relaxation and unwinding after a hard day. Would definitely like to return here when next time in Kochi.
