Standing a shell’s throw from the warm crystal ocean waters, Pelican Point Vacation Apartments are located beachfront on Sandy Beach in Rincon, the center of beach life in Puerto Rico, right next to the world famous Tamboo Beach bar. From the courtyard-level, second-story and penthouse vacation rentals, vacationers looking to unwind will find themselves in the middle of the idyllic tropical scenery. Clear-water swimming and snorkeling, uncrowded stretches of sand and brilliant sunsets are Pelican Point's natural amenities, also offering a perfect destination for a Rincon beach wedding and wi-fi internet throughout the property. Turtles nest on the beach, iguanas crawl up the palms, and Humpback whales breed offshore. (To see additional wildlife, watch surfers ride the world-class waves directly in front of our apartments.) Most beaches along the volcanic coast are unsuitable for beachgoers, but Sandy Beach is true to its name. We specialize in weddings and large group events.

Detailed Reviews
As always, a wonderful stay here at Pelican Point. We have stayed on this property multiple times over the years and always wonderful. Great vacation location. Beautiful beach and view. Jim has made many improvements over the years and is a great host. Apartments are nice and clean with all you need on a beach vacation. Property is beautiful with great outdoor area. There is a grill and many places to sit outside and enjoy the sun. If you surf or just want to swim, enjoy great local restaurants or sight see you can’t beat the location.
The property would be an excellent spot for a wedding. Puerto Rico is one of my favorite places and this is definitely one of my favorite locations!

This is a perfect place for a couple, a group of friends or a family. The estate is very comfortable and in a perfect location. Sandy Beach, right in front of your apartment lives up to its name. The sand makes it perfect for kids of all ages. Beginning surfers will find it a great place to practice, with more challenging waves a short walk away. Coffee shops, breakfast lunch and dinner choices are within easy walking distance. Jim is a very good host and helps add to the community feel of the estate. We highly recommend this for your vacation in paradise.

As I said to Jim, the host, "We don't come for the view, we come here for you."
He is an amazing host who makes you feel like family (the kind you like to spend time with.) The apartments are perfect - we've stayed in the penthouse, the middle floor, and the ground floor units. You can't go wrong with any of them.
The view is phenomenal and I love hanging out on a hammock in the courtyard or on my balcony and listening to the waves. If you've never been to Pelican Point, don't hesitate to book. You will not regret your stay!

We had another wonderful week at Pelican Point. Third time staying with Jim Springer, the owner.
We needed the relaxation after the weather delays ordeal of trying to get there. Lots of interesting people to talk to in the courtyard. So much fun watching the surfers.
Thanks for the recommendations for 3 "new to us" restaurants.
So glad I could get my daily beach walking done.
Wish I was there.
We did recommend your location to a couple who live near Fajardo (originally from Austin, Texas). They were staying in Rincón for a few days and said it was noisy "downtown".
It is currently 3° here, headed for high of 5°.
And in the next 24 hours, it will be 102°F temperature difference between Rincón, Puerto Rico and Ames, Iowa.
Did I mention that I wished I was there?

Jim was such an amazing host, provided a relaxing vibe for my friends and I and offered to help whenever he could. He always went above and beyond for us whenever he could . I am looking forward to going back and staying at Pelican Point again! Can't thank Jim enough for the hospitality and the wonderful stay in Rincon. Awesome host but an even better guy! Cheers,
Sean

We were down in Puerto Rico for spring break. We stayed at the pelican estate inn and had the best time of our lives. The view of the ocean was breath taking, and the beach was great. The owner came by and was nice as can be he talked with us and couldn't have been more helpful. Everything about this place was fun and I would highly recommend it.

Please be aware!!! After checking into this property and paying in full 2 month prior, the property owner claimed that he gave us the wrong price and tried charging us an additional $800. I would not recommend staying here.

Response from Jim Springer, Owner at Pelican Point Estate
Responded 23 Dec 2021
This was a horrible mistake in booking and I still apologize, I'd never want to rip someone off and the reason we are the least expensive rentals around. Merry Christmas in any event.

We were four friends sharing a two bedroom apartment with an amazing view over Sandy Beach. It had a fully equipped kitchen and a big balcony. The place also has a shared yard with a great barbecue, hammocks and stairs down straight to the beach. The owner Jim is superfriendly and helpful. We will definitely stay here next time we visit Rincon!

To Start, the owner of the Inn, Jim Behr, is cool. He made himself available at a really odd hour to ensure that we found the place. It is tucked in the hills amongst some homes and other Inns and Villas. We got there at like 3 in the morning and he lead us straight to bed. That was nice no paperwork or anything to deal with. In fact I simply paid with a credit card over the phone and there were NO hidden charges. He is a super nice guy. All be it sometimes hard to get a hold of. You can call but often you are left leaving a message and hoping he calls you back. We stayed in a small 2 bedroom apartment type which only lacked a full kitchen which was fine because after the good rates we could afford to eat out for our meals. The apartment accomidated 4 of us for only $401 after tax for 3 nights. No extra charges for extra people either. We had a fridge and microwave and even some plastic ware for eating. I loved how each room had its own AC because it got pretty hot. The apartment was clean for the most part. The shelving in the bathroom didn't look very clean. It just needed a bit of deep cleaning and the rugs on the floors had alot of stains which wasn't very appealing. On the morning of the 2nd day of our stay there was no water in our little apartment. That meant no showers or washing of hands. We couldn't even flush the toilet. This posed a problem when you wake up and the only thing you want to do is go to the restroom. I called Jim and didn't hear anything back. We finally just left and held it until we arrived at a place with a restroom. That was a bit inconvenient. Luckly we had family staying at a different hotel and they were nice enough to let us use theirs for the rest of that day. When we returned later on that night the water was working but we still hadn't heard from Jim. We were to leave the next morning early and just left the key in the room. I never did hear anything back from Jim about the water or how our stay was. I guess he assumed everything was ok. In the future I will try to dig a bit deeper and make sure the place is big enough to at least have a staff on hand if something goes wrong.

Response from Jim Springer, Owner at Pelican Point Estate
Responded 9 Sept 2022
This is Pelican Estate (Jim Behr) in the same general area up the hill in the neighborhood and not Pelican Point (Jim Springer) located in the center of the famous Sandy Beach. This review should have never found it's way to our beachfront accommodations review page.
