Sunset Paradise Villas was a beautiful gift to our mission team of 16 from Cedar Hill, TX. At the end of long days serving families affected by the recent earthquakes in Puerto Rico, we were blessed with coming home to a beautiful, peaceful, relaxing, and clean place. The ocean views, colorful sunsets and starry night skies were spectacular!!! We stayed in the lower and upper units of villa 3. The apartments were very spacious, beautifully decorated and filled with quality furnishings. The massive outdoor living room on the balcony became our favorite spot for meals and nightly debrief meetings. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub as well. When we first arrived both apartments were sparkling clean and nicely and cooled. The linens had such a great aroma we could tell they were freshly laundered. Plenty of clean bath and beach towels too. Great job Grizel! Our experience with Carlos, the maintenance man, was also lovely. Every time we requested something he responded immediately and was very kind and courteous. We requested use of the kayaks and had them at our villa the very next morning. Fresh towels— he quickly grabbed some more from a storage closet for us. We needed more propane to use the grill—it was there in 5 minutes. The remote control for the AC unit in one bedroom was not working but Carlos took care of it immediately. We accidentally clogged the kitchen sink, which caused a leak, but Carlos was there within a few minutes of our call to fix the problem and clean up the mess. Some of our missionary activities were cancelled our last Teo days there due to the Corona virus protocols established at the time. Carlos kindly stored our unused distributions inside a garage until our host church could come pick them up sometime after our departure. Very attentive and courteous staff! Charming, quiet and safe neighborhood too. We highly recommend Sunset Paradise Villas and hope to come back again!

Our third visit to Sunset Paradise Villas in Rincon did not disappoint. As always, the property was well maintained and equipped with everything you need. Meals are easy whether you choose to prepare your own in the full kitchen or go out. Within walking distance of ½ mile, there is a grocery and pharmacy as well as several casual dining options (El Patio, Taco Libre, pizza, sandwiches). The villas are located in the Stella neighborhood of Rincon, which is about a mile south of the downtown -- we like the residential feel of this area. The inside of the villa is spacious, light, and airy. Ceiling fans keep everything comfortable and you only needed to put the air conditioning on if at home in the afternoon; then after the sun goes down its lovely and cool again. There were virtually no insects – perhaps because of the breeze off the water – so it’s no problem keeping the doors open to the beautiful terrace. The incomparable terrace view of the ocean provides ongoing entertainment of pelicans with your morning coffee and spectacular Rincon sunsets over wine in the evening. Whether you want sun or shade, you can find your spot. If anything is less than 100% or in case of emergency, Grizel and Carlos are available to help. They are each experienced, personable and professional. The owners and the guests are lucky to have them there. We would recommend this accommodation and hope to return.

We stayed at Villa 3 Upper, this place is a dream come true. Everything went seamlessly from the reservation and payment process with Jose Luis, through all the stay. The check-in was super easy. The communication was spotless, Grizel answered all of our messages in a matter of minutes in a very warm and professional way. The villa and the common areas are extremely well maintained, it shows that they really take great care of the property.

The villa itself was pleasantly comfortable with enough space to accommodate our family of 10 in a way that everyone enjoyed the group experience, but had space to be apart when needed. The infinity pool on the rooftop and the jacuzzi provide great relaxation. The views are to die for, and I'm Puerto Rican, so I'm used to great beaches and pretty views, but this was something else.

You only have to pack your swimsuits and the food you are going to cook, the villa has everything else you will need. The beds are very comfortable and the air conditioning works well. The place is located in a usual Puerto Rican neighborhood and it was very tranquil, no music blaring or insidious noises.

We will be back to Sunset Paradise Villas, I think this is our new paradise vacation.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Rincon staying at Sunset Paradise Villas. We stayed in Villa 1 upper, a one bedroom that was more room than we needed but we managed to use it. The best part of the Villa is the covered porch on the ocean - easily 15 feet deep and over double that in one half, and probably 40' wide with an incomparable view of the ocean. The owners provide very comfortable outdoor furniture, very important since that is where we spent most of your time when at the Villa. The ocean is truly just below the porch and the soothing sound of the ocean is a constant.

The villa has all the usual amenities although to use the washer/dryer you need to walk over to another villa. Also, the infinity pool is a few villas down and up some steep stairs. The hot tub is conveniently adjacent to Villa 1 upper. Access to the ocean is just below and stairs take you down to a very shallow beach and immediately into the water. Strong tide.

Sunset Villas is south of Rincon proper but not too far, about 1 mile or so. You do need a car to get around. Walking to places from Sunset Paradise isn't easy. Sidewalks need improvement on the main road and we couldn't find cut through streets that didn't dead-end. Rincon is very relaxed in general and very informal so no need to pack dressy clothing unless you're inclined. Downtown Rincon has several terrific restaurants and going north of downtown there are yet more restaurants, the best beaches, and assorted beach activities. And again, more amazing views, oh, and whale watching!

We will return.

We had a family reunion that was amazing as we got together for the first time. Our reservations at Sunset Paradise in Rincon, PR were completely disappointing. Our family reserved 4 villas and spent close to $10,000 for six days. One bathroom had a leak coming from the ceiling. Another shower jet was not working. Air conditioning was not working in one room for two days. Microwave was rusted, extension cord used to power other electrical items placed in a spot where one can fall, rubber around freezer was coming undone each time we opened the freezer. Everything was dated and/or in terrible condition. We requested van service prior to our trip to transport family around the island and we were assured we can make reservations to have van service but no one was available to provide information after our arrival. We were given a number and our call was never returned. Very very disappointed with villas, lack of response. So many other things were wrong but too lengthy to include all. Definitely not a place our family would visit again.

I reserved this place, it looks great. A member of my party passed away, a dear family member. Jose the owner had over 1 month notice and we only held the reservation for a week. He charged us over $2,000 even with proof of obituary - I do not endorse businesses that treat other people this way.

Twenty-three family members flew into Puerto Rico from Hawaii, Florida, South Carolina and New York. The only good thing about the vacation was that we were together the accommodations were terrible we reserved 4 villas. Our villa #4 lower had 5 rooms no a/c in one room and a hole where a light fixture use to be with wires sticking out and leaking brown water from the hole, another room had a sliding door to the bathroom that would completely fall off when you open or closed it with duck tape holding it together. Microwave were dirty and rusty inside and toasters did not work.

This was my second visit to the Villas. The first time as a guest at a wedding, but did not stay on the property. We decided then to plan a big vacation in 2020 and stay here.

We stayed in Villa 4 Lower and it wasn’t great. 4 of the 5 bedrooms had major leaks. One they fixed but didn’t clean up the bed, making it unusable. The other three were in closets or next to the bed, wet but avoidable. The hot tub never worked after multiple calls to maintenance. The common laundry service did not work at first, but then it did, however pieces of plastic were breaking off during the spin cycle. We had a portable radio and sun glasses taken off our patio, while we were away. Yes our fault for leaving it out there, but unfortunate for sure.

All of this after fighting to reschedule two times due to Covid (March 2020 and again in February 2021), we were looking forward to our stay.

I know the Villas are under new ownership, since my first visit. Hopefully they will put more thought and care into the property and it’s security.

We booked what was advertised as a villa, but upon arrival, we were given a 2 bedroom apartment. The listing on booking.com was incredibly deceptive. The promised whirlpool didn’t work, and the overall cleanliness was very bad. Mold was in the kitchen, and the furniture was in dire condition. To top it off, the air conditioning in one of the bedrooms was malfunctioning. The kitchen equipment was shockingly inadequate.
The property itself seems precarious. Erosion from the sea has already compromised the foundation, and one of the neighboring houses of the same complex has already collapsed. It appears the owner is solely interested in maximizing profit from these properties, as there’s no other explanation for their dismal state. Needless to say, I would not consider booking here again.
The location is great though, the ocean reaches under the foundation of the house. That might not be a good thing though...

About 3 hours for sure. We got lost and ended up in a town that we told not to be in. But if you are wanting to go just shop before you get to the villa because Walmart and sams club are 1 hr 1/2 away. Plenty of local store around the villa.
