If you are planning a trip to Rincon, look no further than Amirage or Sol y Playa for a place to stay. I cannot emphasize enough how kind and accommodating Joy and David were during our stay there. Because we stayed during an unusually busy time, we found out at the last minute that we were unable to rent a...

I have known Joy and David since the year 2000. When my daughter got married in May 2005 to a young man from Sweden, she invited 32 of their friends from the University in Boston. They were from far away places (Sweden, Norway, England, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Taiwan and even Singapur) so we thought few of them would come... well,...

We had a great time at Amirage! The views are to die for, warm & tropical weather, palm trees, a real surfing beach 15 minutes away & just an all around clean, spacious & well appointed establishment. Best in town!

I recently wrote an email to Amirage, asking for some rates for a weekend getaway. I wrote it in spanish, (cause I'm Puertorrican and it'slocated in Rincon, PR) and for my surprise, they answer back with a: "No Habler Español"!!! I was like "What the hell?" They manage a hotel in PUERTO RICO, and they can't answer my mail correctly...

My family and I recently returned from our vacation at the Amirage. Little did we know that the "Great Price" we received from Joy, the owner, for booking all 3 units would cost us MUCH MORE at the end. First, the inviting Jacuzzi & Kayaks you see in the Amirage website are NOT available for guests unless the owners are...

If you're bringing your kids, I would pass on this place. Spent 4 days with wife and son and owners got agitated when 2 cousins showed up to play with us on the beach one sunny afternoon. Her concern was the possibilty of more guests arriving....?? My recommendation to her was to let guests know ahead of time (post rules,...

Although the place is quite pretty, beware of the owners! These two people are the most bizarre people I have ever met. When speaking with them keep a tape recorder on so that you can go back to the tapes. You say one thing to them and they come from left field and say another. When attempting to pay with...

Seven of us went for a five day trip in the sun. What a great place to hang, swim, barbque, etc. The hosts were perfect for us - around when we needed them - virtually invisible when our group wanted to hang out on the gorgeous waterfront deck complete with gas barbque, hot tub, lounge chairs, and large table that...

My husband and I visited Rincon, Puerto Rico and stayed at the Amirage. We highly recommend this location. The owners Joy & David Auerswald-Wilcox were lovely people and made us feel very welcome. Amirage is a lovely place to stay. We hope to stay there again next year. We highly recommend this to other visitors.

I recently stayed at Amirage (mid-January 2005) along with friends who planned a wedding there. It was the most magical place and wedding I have ever experienced. Joy and David were wonderful hosts and I believe every single wedding guest had a great time and will remember the wedding for the rest of their lives. My theory is that the...
