Detailed Reviews
Located on top of a hill overlooking Tres Palmas and Steps Beach you get your own private ocean and sunset views. The staff was gracious and kind and always helpful answering questions or making suggestions.
Just a short walk to Maria’s/Domes and Tres Palmas/Steps beach and a quick ride to any other location in Rincon.
Housekeeping was always attentive and the rooms were gorgeous!
The restaurant was fantastic and overall this place is magical.
Sometimes you may hear the traffic rolling by as it is located on a main through way, but it slows way down after dark and barely noticeable.
Bring binoculars, we saw whales and many other fun things from the balcony.
We will be back next year!

The Hotel was very clean, rooms were nicely updated, nice tile, wood doors and nicely decorated. Amazing view from my room. Cleaning staff and manager Kim did a great job daily. Highly recommend. 5 min walk to Tres palmas and Marias. Only downside was restaurant was closed. Would stay there again.

We stayed at the Tres Palmas by La Cambija Hotel between Christmas and New Years during our annual trip to Rincon. This was the first time that we stayed at La Cambija, and there was a lot to like. Overall, the property is impeccable inside and out. The building has been beautifully renovated and is well maintained. There is not a thing out of place. And, our room was just as described online. It was beautifully decorated, quiet, and comfortable.
In the evenings, when the restaurant is open, there is a crush of cars all trying to park in the small lot. This is never an issue for hotel guests, because management has a person managing the lot each evening, and there are always spaces held for guests. (Honestly, the staff members who handle the lot do an amazing job. They carefully orchestrate the arriving and departing cars, and make the absolute most out of a small space.)
The contactless check-in/check-out process worked well, and the hotel and restaurant staff members that we interacted with throughout the week were very friendly. This would have been a five-star review, except for our frustrating experience with housekeeping. Our room was not made up two days in a row. The first day, we put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign for an hour while at breakfast. We returned; changed; and left the room for the next 8 hours. Somehow, this confused housekeeping staff and they claimed they never had a chance to service room. Okay...no big deal. We managed to get a couple of fresh towels and moved on. The next day we did NOT put up the "Do Not Disturb" sign at all. And, again, after breakfast, we left the room for the next 8 hours. When we returned, we found the room had been missed again. We were told that housekeeping didn't have an opportunity to service the room, and since it was New Year's Eve, there was nothing that could be done. Again, in the grand scheme of things, it was not a big deal, but clearly someone was not doing their job. The next morning, the maid asked me if she would have the opportunity to service our room. I said, "yes, we'll be out of the room for the next 8 hours, just like we were yesterday." We texted management shortly after departure to make sure there wasn't any further "confusion."
Overall, we liked La Cambija and would have never given it a second thought if our room had been missed one day. But, two days in a row, followed by the suggestion that we'd done something to cause confusion, was a bit too much to ignore. The owners would be wise to watch this a bit closer; they've done too much right to have it spoiled by staff members who are not paying attention.
