In terms of 'glamping' this is would fall in the category of less glam, more camping. It's luxurious in the sense that you can sleep on a real bed and have a stunning view -- in the middle of a forest -- floating above the tree tops. Outside of that, the accommodations are (charmingly) rustic. A few considerations: Even with...

I was in Rincon in March 2010, and staying in the treehouse for about a week was an absolutely amazing experience. You're surrounded by beautiful nature on top of a large set of hills. And as weird as it seems, the most amazing part about this was sleeping. There aren't many, if any walls in the main treehouse. So all...

First of all, this is not for the out of shape or faint of heart. We stayed at the new Buddha Hooch, a three story bamboo tree house, about a 1/4 mile hike from the car through the jungle up and down a small path. Travel lightly my friend. That was just part of the adventure. The first floor has...

We stayed in Sunset Hooch and had a great time. The bathroom in Sunset is private and has a curtain. We cooked dinner in the tree house both evenings of our stay. There is a nice grocery store called Fam Coop right down the road. They even had nice selection of beer and wine. Jo encourages you to hike around...

This was my most unique "hotel" experience while in Puerto Rico, and I highly recommend it! The treehouse itself was mesmerizing! Definitely try to meet the owner as he built all of the tree houses himself, and can tell you a lot about Puerto Rico!! This is a great romantic escape which truly is in the middle of the rainforest...

The treehouses were really cool and we had a wonderful view from the Sunset hooch. I felt well-secured from the bugs because there was a nice net around the bed. The noises at night of the frogs were mesmerizing, I loved it! The shower and bathroom were in the middle of the forest and it felt liberating to shower in...

If you are going to visit the Island or live there this is something you must do. Much like camping you should bring your own towels, ice and snacks. There is a market about ten minutes away and some nice restaurants beach is minutes away too. Do, bring a flash light you will need to walk to the bathroom at...

I have lived in Puerto Rico all of my life, I do appreciate nature but this was a totally different experience.. we loved it! Perfect for couples, so romantic. We stayed at the Buddah hooch, we had to walk a lot to get there. The first floor is the bathroom, no walls, had the giggles everytime :D. The kitchen is...

If you are looking for a unique stay in Puerto Rico, this is it. The night we spent here is one of my most favorite memories of our vacation, and I would go back again in a heartbeat. The rates were very reasonable, the hooches were very well crafted, the owners were nice but direct, and the views of sunrise...

If your looking for a super cool and unique sleeping experience, look no further. This place has three awesome little treehouses (sunset, buddha, and another i can't recall the name). My girlfriend and I stayed in the buddha hut for two nights and were blown away by the experience. We could have stayed up all night listening to the bugs...

“Sunset Hooch by far more than meets your needs if it's just two of you. Bring your food/cooler/drinks and enjoy. There's a dog that barks alot at night (at least our experience)...that was seriously the only negative.”
