We visited Rivermist resort to usher in our 1st anniversary celebration. I got to know about this place from a friend of mine and after doing a little research, we went ahead and made a reservation for a 4 night stay.. The property is perfectly nestled amidst the wilderness with the chirping of birds, the series of hills surrounding it and the soothing sound of water from the nethravathi river, all of which are the perfect ingredients for a getaway with your loved ones.. There is a private waterfall within the property. The water isn't deep and one can even make their way right beneath the waterfall to experience what literally feels like a spa session. We were totally blown away by the hospitality extended to us by the courteous staff.. During our stay, I had planned a candle light dinner for my wife. Words fail me to describe the lengths to which the staff went just to ensure we had the most magical dining experience under the star lit sky.. I would like to extend a special thank you to Ajith who made us feel very comfortable and who looked into our every need with a smile. It was a pleasure to be a part of the nature walk - my wife and myself got to learn alot from Ajith who is a naturalist and loves exploring the wild. I would also like to thank the General manager Anush who spent time explaining to us the heritage of the place and gave us good suggestions of places to visit. Him imparting his knowledge about the history of the region made our visit to the surrounding tourist hotspots all the more meaningful. Big thank you to Mithun for ensuring we were satisfied with the food and serving us ever so graciously. Last but not least, a big thank you to Krishna who drove us around and patiently explained about the history of the region and Guru who ensured that we had a very comfortable stay. Awesome stay , awesome food and awesome location. This property is heavenly with its private waterfall and informative & fun nature walks ! It is in the middle of a forest and reaching there includes crossing Netravathi river. They provide a pickup and drop from the main road (Ranijhari coffee shop). Also they have a gated parking for our vehicles. So it can be safely parked there. SUVs can be comfortably driven to the resort , bit of a challenge for sedans and hatchbacks.

This place is a must visit for people who enjoy nature. The property is very close to the birthplace of river Netravathi and streams pass very close to the property. The views of the mountains is breathtaking. The property is well maintained and the staff is very friendly and courteous. The food is a highlight deliciously made and the spread for all the 3 meals is really nice. The 4x4 ride in their jeeps is thrilling and an experience to remember. The nature walks by the staff in morning and night is really fantastic and very informative.

One of the best resort i ever stayed so far.. The management got in touch with us a day before our check in to make sure that they track us on our live location until we reach the destination as it's located in the very remote place with no network.. I was overwhelmed by their call to catter to our need and find out our food options The location, ambience, room, service, food and nature is extremely awesome.. Special thanks to Ajit Padiyar for taking care of all our needs and he has amazing knowledge about the nature and species around the western ghats.. Thanks to mufeed, Chetan and Ambrish for excellent service The strech of 3km road leading to the resort is an adventure and crossing the river stream is amazing 😍 The private waterfalls inside the property is best place to relax and enjoy The buffet spread of all the 3 meals is very lavish The night campfire, the sound of Tree frogs and crickets is very pleasant to hear .. Stayed 3 nights at RiverMist last week. Its a nature paradise surrounded by coffee plantations and lush green forest. The private waterfall at the property and the infinity pool bring out the child inside you. But the USP of this place is the customer service and the delicious food. The managers and every staff member bend backwards to keep the customers happy. They kept asking us if we needed anything and cooked our favorite food for us at every meal. Many guests celebrated their special days during our stay and the staff did an excellent job setting up a special table for them. They also organize day and night nature hikes with a nature biologist who is an expert in spotting the flora and fauna in this area and sharing interesting facts about them. We were a group of girlfriends meeting for our college reunion and felt very safe and comfortable during our stay. I’d highly recommend RiverMist to anyone planning to visit this area. In the folklore Aladdin and The Magic Lamp, Aladdin had three wishes to make to his genie and those wishes are all fulfilled. When you are in Rivermist Resort, you feel like Aladdin and guess what, you have unlimited number of wishes to make and the team led by Mr. Srijith and Mr. Ajith, at the resort makes sure that all your wishes come true. Our stay in Rivermist Resort was nothing short of a magical experience of 3 days. The team at the resort gives you a Disney like experience. The moment you arrive, your bags are taken and all you need to do is to soak in the beautiful property and the amenities/services they offer. The property is in the middle of the forest, and you have to cross a river stream to reach, the journey is an offroad drive which in itself is quiet exhilarating. The property is surrounded by lush green forest and coffee plantation with abundance of flora and fauna. Mr. Ajith, who is a naturalist takes you on 3 trips, 2 of nature walk (day trip and night trip) and 1 of a river walk which is an amazing trek like journey through river Netravati. His knowledge of the wildlife there is mind blowing. Don’t miss any of these walks and treks. We stayed in the Premium Cottage rooms which are big and spacious, even the bathrooms are large with the most modern fixtures. Despite being in such a remote location you will get a feeling of being in a luxury hotel in the city. The balcony opens to the Charmdy mountain range, and the mornings are something you would look forward to with birds chirping and the greenery of the property, with only the silence of the valley to gather yourself. Then there is a waterfall a little down the property which is accessible only through the property and that makes it a private waterfall for you. You generally don’t have a waterfall only to yourself in today’s world, but here at Rivermist its only for you to enjoy. No one will fall over your shoulder while taking a selfie, its just you with your dear ones! In a remote location you would always worry about food, but rest assured the buffet spread for breakfast, lunch and dinner will just surprise you. Each and every dish was delicious, and they catered to our requests of customizing few things without any fuss. Can you imagine 3 choices of desserts for lunch and dinner in the middle of a forest?? I won’t have to speak about the main course spread!!! They host an activity everyday at 7:30pm where all the lights of the resort are turned off for 5 minutes and guests can enjoy the sounds of the forests, fireflies light up the forest, toad/frog calls, crickets chirping and listening to many other insects and birds’ calls is an unique experience to have. We would certainly be going back to experience the post monsoon hues of the property and we are already looking forward to it! We are grateful to Rivermist team for taking such great care of us and ensuring that we really go back refreshed with loads of pleasant memories. Superb rooms, exceedingly friendly staff, great traditional food The nature is simply at its best, with greenery, serene waterfalls, far away from the hustle & bustle of the urban Bangalore. The rooms had clean linen, excellent toiletries with a beautiful view of the western ghats. The approach road for the last 5 km was a real adventure, best enjoyed with an SUV, including a river crossing with the SUV. The welcome to the resort make one feel a King, hospitality is far excellence. The evening Earth Hour with a 5 minute of electrical disconnection followed by a bonfire, is an absolute treat in the midst of the abundance of oxygen. The food is very traditional, off course continental is available. All in all a much needed break from the loud urban lifestyle.
