We stayed three nights over Christmas at this small resort located on the highway 3-4 km west of the Bagori reserve entrance. It has only 8 rooms located in two separate buildings along with a separate reception and small restaurant for all the meals. Though two of the rooms face the highway, they were well insulated from the sounds and we slept undisturbed. The rooms are clean and of adequate size with king or twin beds, a wardrobe, full length mirror, chairs, side tables etc. The bed and bath linen were clean. There was 24 hour running hot water, even though the flow was a little erratic. Basic toiletries were provided along with a surprising complimentary snack basket. The buffet breakfast had adequate spread and provided eggs made to order. We had five meals in the restaurant and found the food tasty without being oily or spicy. The service was excellent. The resort is located almost a half hour drive from the Central Reserve at Kohora and is quite isolated.

They are really helpful people specially the manager if you get a chance to meet him he will make your trip more comfortable. The service is good f&b services are available till 9pm at night so have your dinner early. Located in western range midst of forest. They have limited rooms if you want to stay here better book early I booked through MMT later come to know they manager their own website where booking takes place at 20% cheaper as MMT charges commission from guest by increasing price. Thanx.....

We had a very good experience at Jungleciti. Rooms are well appointed 24 hrs hot water shower. The daily house keeping is done only when we request at the reception. They say we do not open guest rooms with master key for cleaning unlike others. Over we had italian food here. The chilly fish and grilled fish lemon butter is cooked excellent here. Safari guide came on time. We can recommend this hotel to people. Thanks

Easy to locate, right on the highway. Food is very tasty. Staff is courteous and very helpful.
However, i had the most terrible experience. We’d gone to Jungle Safari in the morning, when we came back in the evening the room was cleaned and made even though we didnt tell them to clean it. We had all our valuables lying around and carried the key along with us. They used a master key and entered. When we raised the concern, the management was not even remorseful. They said “housekeeping does things on their own.”
Also, water tanks are small and water runs out quickly- both hot and cold. They dont have additional cots, so extra bed is a mattress on the floor.
But they provide heaters in case it is cold so make sure to ask for it. They will also book the safari tour for you. National park entrance is a bit far from the hotel though.

Staying at jungleciti resort in Kaziranga was an unforgettable experience filled with natural wonders and relaxation. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene beauty of the surroundings. The resort seamlessly blended into the lush jungle landscape, offering a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of city life.

The accommodations were cozy and comfortable, providing all the amenities needed for a pleasant stay. Waking up to the symphony of chirping birds and the rustle of leaves was a delight for the senses. Exploring the nearby trails and observing the rich biodiversity of Kaziranga National Park was a highlight of my trip. The resort also offered guided safaris, allowing me to spot magnificent wildlife, including the iconic one-horned rhinoceros.

The staff at the resort were incredibly hospitable, ensuring that every aspect of my stay was enjoyable. From arranging delicious meals featuring local cuisine to organizing cultural performances, they went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. Additionally, the eco-friendly practices of the resort, such as solar power and waste management, showcased a commitment to sustainability that was commendable.

Overall, my time at the jungleciti resort in Kaziranga was a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. I returned home rejuvenated and with memories that will last a lifetime.

If you visit Kaziranga with family i would recommend Jungleciti to you. The services are great. The food are freshly cooked and served all the times. I have stayed here for 4 nights. The resort manager is cooperative and front office always listen to us. They also have Baking items such as pizza , pastries but only available during high season dec and jan as the restaurant said. The property area national highway in the front with diphulu river as the back. Overall excellent stay in western range. If u stay in western range it is easily accessible all ranges. Jeep will pickup from this place at no extra cost. It is better to hire jeep from the hotel as they are more experienced than a new visitor.

Things that went wrong for us

1) Found red ants in the bed the day we checked in
2) water stops in bathroom and you have to remind them. Happened two consecutive times
3) In breakfast not ready to provide any alternatives for jain/veg people. Example asked to make plain uttapa instead of onion uttapa.denied.
4) Hot water in bathroom ends frequently. Giving you ample time to think in between why the hell you booked this hotel

There are other smaller things I am not even mentioning. But in a nutshell the current mangement can't even run an Airbnb/homestay.

Non courteous, understaffed, untrained.

P.S. I have paid 7k+ for one night and I had made booking for two nights.

Dear MSALOT, We appreciate your feedback. We would like to provide a response to the review submitted. 1. Regarding red ants our housekeeping have replaced your bedsheet immediately when informed. 2. Water supply is controlled automatically by some computerized device and pressure is optimized as per usage. 3. Our service team informed that you had normal Dinner with Onion and Garlic so the Jain Breakfast was not prepared but we have Jain / Veg foods are readily available. 4. Hot water flows 24 hours through our faucet and tested by our Supervisors on continuous basis if the Water Heater Switch inside your bathroom is turned on. Our housekeeping informed us that you have not switched on the Hot Water. 5. Room Heaters and Air Conditioners are available for each room. In terms of amenities we provide all amenities which complies 3 Star Hotel rating and some amenities which complies 4 star rating. In terms of pricing it will vary if you compare a star rated Hotel located in New Delhi and the same in Kaziranga National Park it will vary. In Kaziranga National Park the hotels are operated for six months and 3 months are high season so the pricing is on higher side as the Hotel or Resort have to keep there standards and staff for another six months with the revenue generated from that three months. All amenities are sourced from Delhi and Mumbai and outside Assam. The current management have catered Normal Public / IAS / IPS / Indian Army / Senior Government Officials / Diplomats and 98% of the guest have rated positive and enjoyed the stay. We provide personalized service and try to understand each guests needs and fulfill. Thank you for your valuable feedback. Thank you.

Quaint Hotel with a backdrop of the Diphli river is a nice resort and rooms are simple and spacious.

Staff were good and courteous and the evening tea and snacks was good considering it rained both days.

The hotel is very close to Bogora gate which is where we can do an Elephant Ride ( for Indians) and even the Jeep Safari was great as we got to see many rhinos in close range

The Kohora jeep safari was a disappointment and sighting was limited

The reason for a 4 rating was the food.. we ordered Paneer Chilli and was so salty.. we asked to make a fresh one and was more salty and they charged for both. When i asked the Sous chef an told him u need to reduce the Ajinomoto or Soya sauce as th Fried rice was perfect, he said it was on account of Tomato Sauce :) .. really give me break

Even the buffet spread is more Continental and u would only find Aloo Puri or Chhole Puri as an option if ur a strict vegetarian and have Indian food only

Responded 1 week ago
Dear Traveler, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. We truly appreciate your feedback and are grateful for the insights you have provided. We have taken note of your comments regarding the safari experience in the Central Zone of Kohora. As you mentioned, this zone is quite popular and often crowded, which can sometimes affect the overall experience. However, we agree that other zones like Burapahar, Bagori, and Agaratoli offer a more serene and wildlife-rich environment, making them ideal for animal lovers looking for a quieter and more immersive safari experience. We also appreciate your feedback on the paneer chili dish. After reviewing your concern, we discovered that the saltiness came from the tomato sauce used in the dish rather than a cooking error. We have decided to update the sauce brand used in our Chinese dishes to prevent this issue from recurring in the future, and we are grateful for your input in helping us improve. Regarding the breakfast, we would like to clarify that we offer a continental menu based on the preferences and tastes of our in-house guests, catering to a variety of geographic backgrounds. We hope this was in line with your expectations, but we are always open to suggestions for future improvements. Once again, thank you for your valuable review. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to Jungleciti House Kaziranga for a more enjoyable and tailored experience. Warmest Regards, General Manager Jungleciti House Kaziranga

Jungleciti brand is best in Kaziranga for a peaceful harmonious stay. We stayed here for six nights. This place has extreme fast service. Whatever you ask they provide very easily and in friendly manner. The rooms are very clean and comfortable for long stay as well as short stays. They provide Kaziranga Safari at very ease and convenience. Well they do not take advance bookings. We tried calling them many times before arrival to book Jeep Safari they say you can book directly at the hotel reception. We thought that in the busy season we might not get a good safari. But as they said they provides the best Tour Guides locals who are avid naturalist. We took Jeep Safari's in all the ranges. Thrice in the Bagori Range in search of Tiger. The breakfast was nice continental foods. The breakfast time is so busy all days. They provide airport pickup services on Innovas and Sedans. There charge 1k extra than market prices. We would recommend this place to everyone. Nothing was awkward to write about. The management is great in this place.

Guwahati Airport is most convenient gateway for Kaziranga National Park visits. It is 5 hours journey nearly 210 kms. We are located 2 kms from the Western Safari Zone Park Entry Point.
