Thank you to Paul, Annette and their son Jack for a memorable stay at your lovely hotel. We were made to feel very welcome and felt at home instantly. I Have extensively travelled Ireland and stayed in a variety of top class hotels I can honestly say this hotel is one of the best I’ve stayed in. I will be recommending Loch Lein Hotel to family and friends. We arrived as guests but left as friends. We will definitely stay here again. Thank you Paul, Annette and Jack. Merci pour nos vacances Chris & Steph.
Fabulous boutique hotel. Beautiful, Spacious, clean and friendly staff. Excellent cooked to order breakfast. Lovely rooms. I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and this is in my top 3. I’m so happy I found it. I recommend it highly. The setting on the lake is very peaceful.
Stay here! What an amazing spot. I can’t believe we had the good fortune to stumble upon this delightful inn. Overlooking the lake and mountains, the views took our breath away at every glance. Paul and Annette were welcoming and helpful. We had three breakfasts, which included cold options and a hot menu with delicious waffles or eggs. We also had a dinner in the dining room. But perhaps our favorite was a glass of wine in the front yard looking out at Lach Leane and the mountains beyond. In addition to the ambiance, the hotel boasts spacious rooms, modern bathroom with a huge tub, and great water pressure. If we have the chance to come to Ireland again, we will return.
When 8 grumpy bikers pull up to your hotel after a long days ride, the warm welcome and fantastic accommodation is the perfect solution, and the LOCH LEIN staff and facilities are second to none. The spacious, comfortable rooms and spotless facilities are a testament to the hard work and effort of Annette and Jonny and All the staff. The outlook and surroundings, and ease of access to the Ring Of Kerry and the Killarney make this the perfect location as a base for touring in the south, or just staying put. All in all, our stay couldnt have been improved on, except for being longer. As Arny might have said.....We`ll be back
A beautiful hotel in a stunning setting run by wonderful people. The breakfast was to die for too. Many thanks to Annette and all the team. Can't wait to come back and share this place with more family and friends.
This was our favorite stay in Ireland. Paul, Annette, Jack and Beatrice were all very welcoming and accommodating. The suggestions on where to go and what to do were excellent! The food was also outstanding. It felt more like a home than a hotel or guest house. The area itself has so much to offer; Dingle Pennisula and Ring of Kerry! We could have stayed there longer. We would go back in a heartbeat!!!
This was our third visit to the Loch Lein Country House, and we keep returning because it is our "happy place." The moment we arrive, the stress just melts away as we take in the lovely views of lake and mountains in the peaceful garden setting. The location is perfectly situated to enjoy all that Kerry has to offer, and Killarney town is easily accessible (and even walkable on a fine day). Our room was spacious and very comfortable, with a striking view and many amenities. We had dinner there on two nights and both meals were among the best we have had while in Ireland. Breakfasts are superb as well. Paul and Annette, the hosts extraordinaire, are always on hand for recommendations, booking assistance, or a pot of hot tea after a wet day of hiking (many thanks!). Of all of the places we have stayed in our travels, the Loch Lein is our favorite and we hope to return again soon.…
Guided by the glowing reviews given to this B&B, my wife and I booked for a four night stay. Driving from Belfast to Killarney, conscious that we are both on the threshold of 80 and therefore knowing how exhausted we would be on our arrival, we began to wonder if the trip advisor reviews would indeed match up. In the event we had absolutely no reason to be apprehensive. On our arrival we were warmly greeted by Annette and Paul who showed us to our room-en suite which was tastefully decorated and surgically clean. A broad window gave us an enviable panoramic view of the famous lakes and hills of Killarney which made the presence of a television in the room superfluous! The morning breakfast matched the same high standard as the accommodation It goes without saying that the decor, food and dwelling of this B&B is of a very high standard which can only be achieved by a dedication and love for the craft. It will be no surprise to readers of this review that we left for the long drive home with fond memories of our stay. Many thanks to Paul and Annette and also to the two beautiful ladies from Poland and Ukraine who faithfully serviced our room each morning. Brian & Catherine Daly…
The booking process was done via Loch Lein House website and was very easy. Upon arrival, had I not seen photos on line, I might have thought I was in the wrong place. The house sits in an idyllic setting on Loch Lein. The house itself has many amenities including a bar and sitting room, elevator, a front lawn that's wonderful to sit on and take in the beauty of the lake and the mountains beyond. Annette, who owns the house along with her husband Paul, was there to greet us as we walked int he front door. Their son Jack was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. He's truly an asset to the business. Breakfast is served in a large dining room with sweeping views of the lake. The food was delicious and the service was what I'd expect in any highly rated restaurant. Our room was the largest room in which I've stayed while anywhere in Europe. A very large window gave us incredible views of the lake and mountains. Everything was spotless, housekeeping was wonderful, and little touches were appreciated (such as complimentary bottles of water). This was my tenth visit to Ireland (I usually stay 2-3 wks at a time, so I have a bit of experience with accommodations) and I can say with complete certainty that Loch Lein House is among the very finest of places I've stayed. Annette, Paul and Jack are all engaging, friendly, knowledgeable and truly belong in this business. Well done, all!…
Located in the village of Fossa just outside Killarney, this small hotel is superbly located close to Carrauntoohil. Rooms are very well ppointed with a superb choice for breakfast.. Evening meal overlooking Loch Léin was delicious. Wll worth visit.
