The facilities are simple yet luxurious. This is the place to enjoy the perfect getaway. You can connect with nature and yourself, and allow to your body and mind to relax. It is a quite place in the middle of nature. The food was great, all natural, healthy and perfectly prepared.

I stayed here recently while hiking in nearby Tayrona National Park. The cabanas are nicer than the photos and the food was good. The setting is peaceful and the staff is friendly. Cons: they need coffee service early in the a.m. At 7 am we had to go into the kitchen and ask for coffee. The food was good but...

The Merecumbe Hotel is pretty freaking awesome! Traveling from NYC, this was just what we needed, pure relaxation, gorgeous setting, beautiful rooms, spectacular food! This spot is really worth it, it can be a bit tricky to get to so avoid arriving at night cause its hard to find. Once you are there, you don't need anything else (maybe bug...

Merecumbe really stands out as the best part of trip. Ultra relaxing. The thatched huts are more beautiful and comfortable that the website pictures can convey. The surrounding area is gorgeous with lush vegetation and a beautiful beach. There is a good swimming beach about 5 minutes away. There are a lot of day trips that can be made and...

To be honest, this place is perfect for a romantic getaway. That being said, I went on a girls trip with some friends and we had a great time. The property is beautiful and quiet. The food we had was fantastic! Fresh, simple, clean food with lots of flavor and delicious fresh juices to finish off the meal. We were...

What do you expect when you're going in such a kind of Eco-hotel on the beach of the Caribbean coast of Colombia? Just relax relax. Thinking nothing ! especially not what you have to eat and drink ! Here it's not possible. No flexibility. You have to order all your meals in advance at least 5 hours! No really what...

Merecumbe is off the beaten path, private and quiet and just what we needed. Their delicious generously portioned and carefully sourced food and juices were first rate. Quiet time on the private beach was also good for my soul. While the massage wasn't the same as my US massages, it was perfect in terms of location (open air, steps from...

The cabins are great, private garden with outside shower amazing! Stuff is very friendly. During our stay Tayrona Park was closed. As the Hotel does not offer much activities we were stuck in the hotel. An organized trip to Santa Marta for example as an option would have been great! Beach looks horrible, sea is dirty with high waves, so...

The staff and accommodation are wonderful plus the food is OK considering you have no option of eating out - things you should be aware of 1. The beach is horrible and the sea pretty unappealing to swim in (lots of weeds and brownish water). They try to make up for this with outdoor showers but could really do with...
