Our hosts were away for the weekend but their excellent communication ensured our access to the property was easy. We stayed three nights and although the room is smallish it was fine for our requirements as we utilised the verandah and garden. The garden is a delight. We were able to walk to all the places we wanted to visit...

Being curious to see this renown wine producing area just three hours drive through the Blue Mountains from Sydney, I booked Thady Cottage at short notice in early January and ended up being delighted with my decision. From the genuinely warm and friendly welcome I received from the owners, Mark and Julia, through to my beautiful, comfortable room and their...

What a great room, very clean and lots of character. The queen size bed was very comfortable. The cottage is very close to everything making it easy to get around. I would of loved to stay longer and have a good look around. Will stay again on my next trip

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Thady cottage and were so glad we chose it after it was recommended by a friend. Stayed in the king room which was thoughtfully decorated. Our hosts Mark and Julia are just lovely people and so very welcoming, I felt like we became friends. Would recommend this to anyone wanting a place...

Very much enjoyed staying here, close to the centre of everything, in such a delightful setting. Our room had its own entrance and looked over a pretty garden and pool. Sharon and Bruce were excellent hosts, with Bruce a mine of information and great suggestions as to what to see and do and Sharon made us wonderful breakfasts. Be quick,...

My mother and I stayed at Kia Ora when passing through Mudgee in April. It is a much-loved B+B, the owners are full of great recommendations and tips and the breakfast is to die for! We stayed in the room at the back of the property with it's own entrance. It was lovely to buy some wine at the local...

My partner and I had the delight of staying at Kia Ora for 1 night and were really impressed with this beautiful country cottage which combined classic country furnishings with an ultra-modern bathroom and TV in our room. The owner's of this B&B in Mudgee also made an impression on us as they bent over backwards to make us feel...

The house and rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. Thought is put into every detail, with lots of 19th Century touches that give an old-world feel to the place. Even the breakfast china and table settings were exquisite. The hosts Bruce and Sharon were so welcoming. Bruce's private wine tour was a highlight, including honey tasting and some fantastic...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Thady Cottage was built c.1898. Both B&B rooms show the olde world charm of that era. We are 2 blocks (5 mins) from Mudgee's numerous well regarded restaurants and pubs...easy access for you and your wallet. Each room has its private entrance and a refreshing dip in the salt-water solar-heated pool is just metres away. Come visit the area. ... more   less
