We found this place through Lonely Planet and great reviews on TripAdvisor and they were both spot on! I highly recommend visiting the lovely town on Cuenca and staying overnight. Hostal Tabanqueta is a little hotel at the top of the old town part of Cuenca with great views from the back rooms over the valley. The hotel is spotlessly...

I would have never thought that this place could be so nice and cozy. The rooms are all new and beautiful. Make sure you get one with the view on the back! Very central so you can easily walk around in the centre. I didn't seem to see air conditioning so you may want another place in summer and/or if...

I first stayed here 2+ years ago and was blown away by the standard and the price. A return visit confirms things are as good as they were. This is a real find - large modern clean bedroom, great modern sizable bathroom, and the most fantastic views into the valley from the back rooms. No breakfast is on offer, but...

We recently stayed at B&B Tabanqueta for 1 night. We must say that the location was fabulous and the whole establishment was very neat and clean and extremely well presented. The room we had was great with views over the gorge and even a little balcony off the bathroom. Just a couple of minor complaints, and that was that the...

The hostel is in the Castle area within easy walking distance of everything of interest in historical Cuenca. My room was very quiet, clean, with all you need (flat screen tv, water brewer+tea+coffee, hair dryer, lots of toiletries..), bathroom very modern with great shower. No breakfast served but lots of places near by where you can eat. Ana was very...

This hostel is a real deal. It is conveniently located between Plaza Mayor and Castillo, just at the bus stop (Linea 1 and 2), and the staff is relaxed and friendly. The room we've got was really ample, perfectly clean, decorated white in a pleasant simplistic manner. Very comfy bed, great shower, clean and renovated to a pretty high standard...

I found this hostel (misnomer in my opinion...much more of a hotel room) on Airbnb. I made an inquiry that was replied to but the reservation was never confirmed through that service so I just drove up there and took my chances. I'm guessing they are maybe not that familiar with Airbnb, but that's ok as this place was fantastic....

We came for the easter break and it rained most of the time so at least this was a nice place to be holed up in for a day. You could not fault the room with plenty of space and very clean and cosy. There were no english TV channels which I dont really care about usually. We managed to...

We stayed one night in Hostal Tabanqueta and we can truly recommend it! We made our reservation by email (no credit card needed) and communication with the staff was fine. We even had to change our reservation to one day later and they did it without any problem! The hostel lays in the highest part of Cuenca, near the castle,...

Small clean room with a built-in wardrobe and 2 side cabinets and a flat screen TV. Bathroom was very modern with nice shower but watch out for the water going hot & cold! Beds were comfortable and we slept well, although you can hear people going in and out because everyone has to go through the main door to go...

“I had a street-facing room which was fine because I had a stunning view of a cross on a hilltop that was illuminated at night. I think the rooms on the opposite side have a view of a river/gorge. Really, any room is probably good.”
