One of the best places I have stayed in a long time, from the minute you step through the door you are made to feel welcome, the room I stayed in (room 4) was exceptional, warm, comfortable, great bed and pillows, excellent selection of tea and coffees, fantastic shower. Breakfast is a real treat, fantastic quality and the staff are...

We happened upon the Frocester after being let down by the b&b we had booked in advance. We turned up on the evening of Thursday 29 December and to our great relief, they had one room remaining, the Junior Suite. At £180 a night, it was considerably more expensive than the b&b we were supposed to be staying at, but...

Met up with friends for dinner between Christmas & New Year & was very pleasantly surprised by the delicious food and very friendly service. We ate in the restaurant & the menu is very varied, I had the pheasant & it was really good. I also like the decor in the restaurant, very elegant without being overstated. We will definitely...

Four of us visited Sunday the 18th, a warm welcome awaited and the fire was lit. We had roast beef, roast turkey, pheasant and a gammon egg and chips, all lovely. A nice pint of Rev James to wash it down too. The George has a nice atmosphere, friendly staff and I think we nearly managed to clear our plates!...

We (a grouo of 16) had a meal on Saturday night. It was the perfect setting. Classy yet informal diningroom. But the meal was the most delicious I have ever had. Beautifully presented (all hot in spite of our party number) and every course amazing. I would love to eat there every day.

We stopped here over night Saturday on our way back from Bath. We arrived about 5.30. We dinged the Reception bell on the table and in a flas a very nice young man took us to our room. We had booked one of the suite rooms which was all that was available. It was quite pricey but was indeed a...

we visited with friends for lunch yesterday. Well done everyone including trip advisor for encouraging us there on a wonderful sunny day. Great service and fab menu, all food beautifully cooked, presented and served. A visit to the ladies loo was an amazing space age experience! I hope that the little church that adjoins the car park is open when...

This was a last minute lunch. We were very impressed at all the alterations taken place since our visit years ago. It looks very good indeed and very welcoming. We all enjoyed our lunch and all chose something different from one another. The service was swift and pleasant and the food was hot tasty and home-cooked. It was quite quiet...

I stayed here on a Saturday evening as I was going to a christening nearby on the Sunday. I arrived late 10pm and was shown a lovely room very spacious with a small sitting area. The Manager was very helpful even though it was late. The pub was still open. The usual tea and coffee making facilities but with a fresh...

This is an excellent character pub/restaurant with rooms in a very pretty spot. Top marks for our room which was way beyond expectations for the price. It really had everything you could ask for - a great size, robes and slippers, a huge comfie bed with lovely luxurious bedding, a safe, tea and coffee facilities with a fridge housing fresh...
