This wasn't the best location for a romantic getaway, but it would be great for a family holidaying near the beach. The location is perfect for a beach stay, with an easy walk to the beach and even easier walk to coffee shop, bar, restaurant and cafe. There is nothing luxurious about the accommodation, but it is comfortable and clean.... More

Thank you for your review. We appreciate those who take time to give honest and accurate reviews, however, we do take time to respond to reviews too. It is pleasing to see that you love the Middleton Beach location as much as we ourselves and majority of all our guests do. Not a perfect location for a romantic getaway! -... More

Although decor is stuck in the 90s this establishment is comfortable and adequate for short and long stay. Close to some very nice restaurants and scenic attractions in the Middleton beach area of Albany. Friendly, helpful staff. Only one negative: Years ago we could use the wood fire which would have been a great help on these, the coldest two... More

This resort complex is situated a short walk from Middleton Beach and across the road from Rats tapas bar, Bay Merchants and a newly opened (today!) fish and chip shop. Our two storey apartment comprised a nice lounge area with two settees, a dining area with four chairs and good sized table, a quite large kitchen with all the necessities,... More

I think the name is a bit inaccurate--it is more of a garden retreat than a resort. Some reviewers mention it being 'dated.' Maybe the window dressings are dated, but they are in perfect condition and were very tasteful when they were purchased. The villas are immaculate..a true pleasure to stay in an accommodation that is probably cleaner than my... More

Clean comfortable Accommodation near Middleton Beach , Rats Tapas Bar and Hybla Restaurant . Has everything you need in serviced accommodation . We had a three bedroom 2 bathroom unit and there were 5 of us and it was perfect . A nice added touch were the Bandicoots in the Garden that would come and say hello in the mornings

We stayed here as our booked accommodation had lost our booking. This was our stroke of luck as they had availability for our 4 nights in albany. The location is excellent, right near. Middleton beach. The units are spacious and well laid out and very quiet. We loved our time here and would recommend these apartments to anyone who enjoys... More

A brilliant nice quiet understated gem. Great, safe, clean and well provisioned accommodation unit. Yes the decor is dated, I would prefer to call it classical, yes maybe it could be modernised, and yes we did have to cleanup some of the utensils before using, (but we would have done so even if they were pristine). However why change for... More

These are well equipped self-contained apartments. The overall impression is that they are a bit tired but are very comfortable. The heater worked well which was needed during our visit. The beds were comfortable and the rooms quiet. The location which is 200 metres from Middleton Beach is ideal. They are not particularly cheap. For the price we thought cable... More

Stayed for a weekend with the family. Fit out desperately needs modernising. The holland blinds, pelmets and curtains are very late 80's (who has them these days anyway?!) with matching spread over the beds too. Kitchen is the same, very dated. In saying that, it was clean & tidy though. Check in went smoothly, as did check out. Reverse cycle... More

We spent 3 nights staying at Balneaire and found the apartments comfortable and generally well appointed. Liked - very comfy beds, large bedrooms, kitchen was well stocked with the essentials (cutlery, crockery, cooking utensils etc), large and comfortable couches, good heating and cooling, very friendly reception on arrival and departure, excellent cafe next door, and beautiful Middleton Beach only 50m...
