Free wifi .... We stayed here for two nights during winter, thankfully there was two heaters in the room. my children loved being able to see the kangaroos across the lake & feed the ducks. we had a back room & it was not noisy. Staff are friendly and helpful. Downsides: far from town centre, no foxtel, tennis court &...

We stayed here for 3 nights and our favourite part was the restaurant. Could not fault it. Great service, very accommodating with our young children, awesome food and great price too. Our room was clean. Staff were very helpful in accommodating our requests. Grounds need some work though to make more family friendly.

Stopped here on way to Melbourne over long weekend. Booked spa room, which was dearer than the others.. These rooms unbelievably were closest to the main road, so even wearing earplugs at night, you could still hear trucks going by all night. Dinner in restaurant was overpriced- my partner ordered steak and specifically said she wanted more medium than rare......

Lovely big room, quiet, clean, tidy, neat. Restaurant food was lovely. Generous serves. Lovely to see only local wines available on the menu. Above all, the service we received from Hayley (front of house and reception), Charmaine and Andrea (Chef) in the kitchen was outstanding. We were made to feel very welcome. Will stay again.

Right on the highway, but lovely and quiet as it is on acres of land. All staff very helpful, room very clean and a great pool to relax in after a long drive. The in-house restaurant was excellent, lovely surrounds, great service and food. So good not to have to get back in the car to get dinner. Enjoyable.

The highway from Melbourne to Adelaide is a busy piece of road, with trucks moving along it 24 hours per day. I was so glad to find a place in Stawell that has taken its location into account in its design. The Magdala is a great place to stay. The rooms are enormous and well appointed. The restaurant is probably...

Stayed overnight. Overall a good place. Good sized room for family. There is a indoor swimming pool and a tennis court. The environment outside is bit dusty but it is due to environment in that area and weather Only advice would be to print correct wifi password before giving to the guests.

Stayed here for work. Lovely place to stay, rooms are pretty comfy, staff are really friendly and very accommodating, lovely people. Didn't have any issues staying here, the rooms have micro waves, toaster and kettle. But no cutlery or plates etc, but just ask front desk for some things they'll happily provide. Would come back here for sure.

We booked on a whim and got there quite easily. It is just outside Stawell and very close to the Stawell Halls Gap road. It is a Motel but well set back from the A8 with the added benefit of a man made lake and a view of the lake from every room. We booked a family room and enjoyed...

Lovely clean room looking out over the lake with resident swans and ducks. Although on the highway the noise of the interstate trucks is deaden in the rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful. The surrounds, garden and paths need some attention but the room was very comfortable with a small table on which to eat breakfast.
