Tucked behind a row of shops, this motel has everything you need. You can park at the door of your room.
It’s clean and quiet with a very comfy bed with crisp sheets and a choice of pillow type. The hot/cold air conditioner is new, silent and easy to operate, there is also a ceiling fan if you need it.
Well appointed with bowl, plate, cutlery for two, toaster and jug. Generous tea and instant coffee sachets with individual milks in the fridge. Nice bathroom with quick-heat full-flow shower head that can be used as a hand shower. TV and microwave as well.
The pool looks well maintained but I had no chance to use it. Everything in the room is labelled with great instructions so you don’t have to fizzgig around. And another tip- I used the money I saved for a great lunch at WinexSam.
A great way to see Seymour!

One night stay, quiet location off Emily Street, sound protected as behind commercial buildings on the main road. Comfortable and clean rooms, good shower pressure. Close walk to 2 hotels for beverages and food as well as a hamburger cafe next door. Would return if we needed to stay again.

The motel is on a gravel road behind some industrial building and looks average. I must admit that I was worried about what I had booked us into. The lady at reception was happy & quickly checked us in. Parking was outside our room. On entering the room I was happy to see that it all looked very modern, clean & new. Queen bed was very comfortable and shower had plenty of hot water. Well priced and would stay again if in this area. Good value.

I used this establishment for a 2 night stay in room 3, I paid $220 for the two nights so wasn't really expecting anything over the top and to be honest just wanted somewhere to sleep at the end of a day of driving each way.
Upon arrival I was greeted by a very friendly gentleman and I must say this Inn exceeded my expectations on most levels. The rooms are clean, modern and quite spacious, there was a microwave, fridge and a modern split system a/c which was very welcome during the colder nights.
Parking was good and you can place your vehicle right outside your door which is great if you have lots to unload. The rooms are set back some way from the road so it is very quiet at night too.
The bathroom was modern and very clean, the shower was very big and there was a modern vanity and toilet too. Towels etc. were neatly laid out on the beds and whilst I did bring my own, there was a soap dispenser in the shower and a cake of soap on the vanity.
The bed was comfortable with plenty of warm covers and there were extra pillows available in the room if necessary.
My only negative as such was security, the door has a very basic entry set and internal chain. I would never leave any valuables in the room because of this and do suggest they fit a deadlock to each door for guests peace of mind.
Pretty sure there is free in room Wi-Fi and there is a Chinese Restaurant close by and a McDonalds open 24 hours a little further away.
Overall I would recommend this establishment.

Disgusting filters in the split system. If you want asthma or just a good coughing fit, turn on the heating or cooling. The pool is filthy and has chairs against the pool fencing making it quite accessible for a child to climb over. Gardening tools laying around, again a child could injure themselves easily. Weeds and rubbish everywhere. Want to play the game "where's the brown snake"? Then this is the place. Check out the BBQ area pictures from years ago compared to today. Initially I thought I could just ignore the outside of the place and stay indoors. I turned on the aircon and got a face full of dust particles and a bad aroma was coming out of the aircon. On opening the front of the aircon I could see thick dark brown dust on the filters and turned it off immediately. Disgusting place. I asked for a refund and was told no. I said the room was uninhabitable (as it was) to the staff. No offer to clean the aircon. I handed them the key and left.

We stayed for one night at the Auto Lodge Motel recently. The room, although small, was fine for what we were looking for. It is clean and the the bathroom is fine, recently refurbished with a good shower--Always a bonus for us!! I would recommend this as a good place to stay for one or two nights in the Seymour area.

I stayed here last night. I was halfway through a long drive, and was exhausted.
Ben was extremely nice, luckily they had a room, and the price was exceptional compared to everywhere others I looked at online.
The outside looked like an average Motel, but the beauty is that you can park outside your front door, which is very important safety wise as a single woman.
Firstly, the owner was diligent in checking my ID and making sure I was coming from a safe area. During COVID, that is very reassuring, especially having a compromised immune system.
The room itself was amazing. SO clean, compared to other places I have stayed all over the world. They must have gone to a lot of trouble to accommodate the weary traveller, or those who stay longer, both in comfort, and making the room more homey than just a place to stay the night. These are the little things that I really appreciate.
The bed was AMAZING, I didn't have time to look at the brand of mattress, (normally I do these things)!! Not rock hard, not too soft. Pillow quality great.
The sheets were lovely, and extra pillows and blankets were available in the room. Full size fridge with separate large freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee tea, everything you could need. A desk with two chairs could double as a breakfast bench for two.
The bathroom looked brand new to me and sparkly clean! The shower was huge, the whole bathroom was bigger (and much nicer) than mine at home! (BYO shampoo). The towels weren't your average hotel style (I've found most are almost always white, thin, starchy and scratchy no matter how much any hotel room costs), these towels were fluffy and thick. The sheets were much nicer than more expensive hotels, and matched the decor of the room.
There was a split system heating and cooling, which I didn't use because the bed was very cozy. Also a large area with lots of coat hangers. There was also an on site washing machine.
Just down the road: A full laundromat, a drive through car wash, with the D.I.Y car wash facilities.
The motel had free internet, I think they had free FOXTEL, a lovely looking outdoor BBQ area (gas bottle) an undercover dining area with tables and chairs, in a nice garden setting, and a very clean looking pool. In fact the owner was cleaning it as I left. I'm sure it would be great staying in summer. (It's unbearably hot in these parts in the Summer months).
I would definitely stay here again. It would be quite comfortable for a couple with kids for much more than one night.
About 2 minutes walk away is an historic Pub, with a separate dining area, and a nice large outdoor dining area. No Pokies!! Thank goodness. Though I think there's a Club in town for that. I saw a Chinese restaurant across the road too, and gas stations.
I don't know Seymour at all, but found the locals really friendly.
This place may be a Motel, but the rooms and amenities there are of a 3.8 star Hotel in my opinion. Excellent value for money.
Thanks for looking after me!
